Nana and Grandpa visit from Nebraska

This past weekend Erik's parents came to visit from Lincoln, Nebraska. It was such a fun time filled with lots of food and extra attention for Jack which of course he loves. He pulled out all his tricks for Nana and Grandpa...one of the funniest things he did was tell them he's two. We would say "Jack how old are you?" to which he would reply "TWO"!!!! No son, you're ONE. I don't know why he thinks he's two...crazy kid...
Another funny thing he's been doing is memorizing where places/things are when we are in the car. For example, Erik takes him to get donuts ("nanos") every Saturday morning and so when we are driving down the road and he sees this particular donut shop he yells "NANOS"....Grandpa and Nana thought this was great!
One new word that we are very excited about is "Jesus"!!!! We read him a book called "Stories Jesus Told" and last week he finally caught on and everytime he sees this book he says "JESUS"! Makes my heart melt everytime I hear him say Jesus in his cute little voice. Here are a few pics from our weekend.

Jack thinks his stacking blocks are for swinging a bat at them (notice the left handed grip)

so excited to have an audience during his bubble bath

What we've been up to...2 new posts after this one!

We've had a pretty busy last couple of weeks! Here are few pictures of what we've been up to.
Jack likes taking pictures with dad! He never smiles like that with me:(
We went to a fun superbowl party and this is where we found Jack and Sydney. I opted not to post the picture of what followed this one:)

Caught, left-handed!

Jack is such a sponge right now. He repeats everything and is eager to learn about the world around him. He loves to talk and learn knew words and tries to say just about everything. He has 14 teeth with 2 coming in right now so his gummy smile is long gone. He tells me when he wants a snack, juice, apple, grape, milk, water, banana, cracker, cookie, etc. which is helpful. He will also tell me when he goes #2 and brings me an "elmo" which is his word for diaper since all his diapers have elmo on them. He sees pictures of himself and says "I JACK" in the most excited voice possible!!!! Today at the park he walked up to a little girl we've never seen before and said "I JACK"...I'm so excited for him to have a brother to talk to so he doesn't have to talk to complete strangers anymore because they usually don't talk back. He's also testing us by saying "no" a lot more so with that comes another level of discipline.
Here is a little picture update!
Got the keys, mom. Can I drive???

Jack eating his oatmeal and blueberries with a spoon...he uses his left hand 99.9% of the time! What did we expect considering his right arm was in a cast for a month! Definitely a left handed little man!
Enjoying a warm January evening on the patio at Gloria's

We met Lindsey and Bryon in Southlake for lunch and shopping a couple of weekends ago. Jack liked the shopping about as much as his daddy did....can you tell by his face?

We have a winner...

29 week bump
(sorry for the lighting we are obviously not photographers!)
After much debate Erik and I finally decided on a name...Erik ended up picking his first name and we both decided on a middle name. This past week we got take a look at Jacob Andrew Olson in a 3d/4d sonogram and his little face is so cute and "squishy" looking:) That makes me really excited for squeezing his little cheeks! Everything measured great and in fact he was measuring a few days ahead which is MUCH bigger than Jack ever measured. The sonographer estimated his weight to be 3 lbs now. Everything was good except my iron count which was at an all time low so I'm doubling up on my iron supplement....I'm taking a pill at every meal now which isn't fun but anything to keep baby Jacob healthy.
