Well despite Jack's first soccer game being, well, very uneventful....our son totally surprised us on Saturday and scored FOUR goals in the first half. Unfortunately he was body slammed/slide tackled by a large toddler and there were lots of tears shed in the second half. We are working on being tough:) We weren't expecting anything to happen in that game (again, based on the last game) so I didn't bring my camera or my phone so we won't be winning parents of the year any time soon. Maybe one of the other moms got it on video? Before the season we told Jack that after he scored his first goal we would take him to the mall to let him pick out something from the Disney Store to celebrate. He LOVES their CARS stuff. Of course right after he scored his first goal he yelled "Hey dad, can we go to the mall now?" haha. We don't think our 3 year old is David Beckham or anything but it's fun to see your kid have fun and have success. Way to go Jack!

Happiness
Inevitably when your youngest child starts getting older people tend to start asking about the possibility of another baby. We have gotten this question from several friends lately. "Don't you want to have a girl" is usually the general idea:) And our short and sweet answer is....we LOVE our family of four:) Maybe God has another plan for our family but we are totally loving this stage and the more time goes by the more we are totally happy with our 2 amazing boys.

Truly best friends. I love it. And they love their momma. And they think their daddy hung the moon and could dunk on Lebron. We'll break the news on that one later...haha...

Wheat, Oat, and Dust
My sweet baby Jacob has struggled with allergies and ezcema pretty much since birth. I have done all I know to do as far as getting a HEPA vacuum, keeping windows closed, low humidity in our house, washing his sheets/blankets every few days, and spraying my house with an anti-allergen spray that kills pollen and dust. We have his seasonal allergies under control with Singulair but lately he's been getting pretty terrible skin rashes. I finally took him to an allergist to get some answers. My sweet, sensitive boy did great thoughout the 4.5 hour appointment and we finally got a few answers. He reacted to wheat, dust, and oat so Dr. T told me that Aveeno products are oat based so basically we've been bathing/lotioning our child in something he's allergic to! WHAAA??? Well, that explained so much. She told us to add daily Zyrtec to his Singulair and studies in Europe show this actually will help prevent the onset of asthma. We are praying he doesn't have asthma but that is TBD. We added the zyrtec and switched him to all Cetaphil products. His skin cleared up within 2 days and he hasn't had any congestion from allergies yet which is a miracle because this Oklahoma wind is BLOWING. Thanking the Lord we got some answers that will hopefully help us keep sweet Jacob healthy.
Happy boy after his appointment.

The allergy testing is NO fun. But Jacob was a champ and stayed still the entire time!

They tested him for over 20 things so that is what all those pricks are:(
Soccer...kinda
Jack had his first soccer game two weekends ago and he had a lot of fun...until the 3rd quarter when he thought they weren't winning and he ran off the field CRYING like a baby saying "I'm not winning, mommy"!!! Oh my goodness. This is an understatement, but as far as teaching your kids their team won't always win but you have to keep playing--- let's just say let the parenting begin. Nonetheless, the little kids were super cute and for the most part had a great time!

Jack and his friend, Noah.
The 'little' brothers...Gavin and Jacob
warm ups

don't worry, they are holding hands during the game HA!

Funny picture. This is typical. Jack with a crazy face and Jacob being silly haha.

Busy week
We didn't waste any time jumping back into the swing of things after we got back from Scottsdale. Jack started soccer (although his first game was canceled because of 'cold weather'), the boys had their first dental check ups, Erik started school again (he will be done with his MBA in JUNE), and we hired someone to do some home updates so that we can enjoy them a little bit before we put our house on the market (whenever that will be)!!!!

Erik came home from work with this...his name spelled correctly on his favorite kind of red wine. It's the little things:) haha.

Jack did AMAZING at the dentist...Jacob was a total different story:/
Erik told me was going to start P90X (he hasn't worked out AT ALL since I've known him)...so before he starts his 'workout routine and diet' I made a good unhealthy meal for him:) Paula Deen's meatloaf and Cottage potatoes.

The boys had their spring pictures at school.
We have been playing with Gage a lot and the boys LOVE him!!! He has a new baby sister who is PRECIOUS...we have to keep the boys far far away from her:)
Jack was so excited to look like dad for church on Sunday with his tie.

Incredible Getaway
After a long weekend at the Hyatt Regency Resort at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ all I can say is WOW. This place was perfect for Erik and I to relax, enjoy great food, great weather, and each other. This resort is perfect for families, couples, girls weekends, guys golf weekends, etc... it offered something for everyone. 3 great restaurants, 3 golf courses, 2.5 acre water playground that is kept at 85 degrees year round, live music in the evenings, fire pits and outdoor heaters all over the property, and last but not least----the best Spa experience we've ever had. We are already planning a time when we can take the boys back. They would LOVE it.

Erik took a final on Thursday night before we left so he was tired and ready to relax!!!

ahh....
Of course we are in Arizona and we still somehow land at Grimaldi's:) Our favorite pizza place in Texas.
We never got used to these amazing views...so beautiful.
Sunday brunch was by far the best sunday brunch we've ever experienced.

One of the adult pools ... we were usually some of the first people out:)
The spa had a coed area with a private mineral pool kept at 88 degrees...so relaxing.

The view from our balcony. We immediately opened our patio doors each morning.

Getting our morning coffee

They had gondola rides on the property and of course we took one. Our gondolier sang a beautiful song in italian:)
Looking at the golf club and one of the courses.

So sad to leave.
Do we have to go?
