Life....

It is so hard to believe that it has been two years since I last wrote in this blog.  Life got busy and it just fell by the way-side.  Once you stop blogging... it is hard to start back.  I had planned to start blogging again beginning with a Christmas 2015 post.... however, the unexpected happened, I lost my dad... our Papa Doc.... and I just couldn't make myself start blogging again.  One of my biggest regrets is not blogging the past two years and not having more photos of my boys and their Papa Doc. The post before this, the last post I had written, has a great photo of Nate, Nana, and Papa Doc in it. I hope that in time, I will be able to come back to this page and post more... but right now, words fail me, my heart still hurts, it is still unbelievable, and it is crazy to think he has spent 9 months in the presence of our Lord and Savior.  I loved my dad and miss his hugs, smile, the stories he would tell.  I miss the fact that he could fix or build anything.  I just miss him!  The boys miss their Papa Doc, but we talk about him and we have lots of pictures and they know how much he loved them.  My boys have been blessed with wonderful grandparents on both sides and what a gift that is. This photos was taken in Florida, August 2015. Hopefully, I will be a better blogger and picture taker. One thing that I can say about the past 9 months, is although I have not felt God's presence in the ways that I thought that I would... I can with absolute certainty say that I have not felt his absence!  God is faithful, through Christ life is eternal, and God has a plan.... because of these things... we have hope.  Because Papa Doc would want us to live life to the fullest... we do!  These grandkids are his best legacy!

School Year 2014- Wrap-up!

As you can tell by the dates on this blogpost... this is being written in retrospect!  Lol!
2014 was a great year for all of these boys.  I don't think I can ever say enough how fast they are growing up.  The phrase "The days are long... but the years are few..." takes on new meaning every year... really, every day!

Nate just completed 5th Grade!  This is his last year at the Amity school and next year he will be on the "big campus" as a 6th grader!  He is quickly leaving his "little boy" ways behind and becoming a pre-teen.  He just turned 11 in March.  Nate is a bright and works hard in school.  He was the only kiddo with all "A"s this year!  He LOVES basketball... future goals include the NBA! Below are some pics from end of school field trips and the last day of 5th Grade.

Zachy just finished 2nd grade and had a wonderful year.  We have been blessed with wonderful teachers and this year was no exception.  He had a wonderful year in Mrs. Bryant's class.  This little guy may not sit still super well and is very social but he finds JOY in everything that he does.  He has such a giving and tender heart. He is so smart and is a good friend to everyone he meets!  Lots of baseball going on this Spring for this little man who turned 9 in April! The following pics are from his end of school field trip and the last day of school.

Ben Ben just finished kindergarten!  Say it isn't sooooooooo!  This means he is following in the footsteps of his brothers and growing up.  Love this little guy.  This year has been a big year of adjustments.  It was his first year at Centerpoint Primary after spending the past few years at the Christian School.  He did great after he got adjusted to the school and his sweet teacher.  Love this smart little guy and I know he is going to do great things. Little man just finished up his season of T-ball! The following pictures are from the last day of school.  Kindergarten had their field trip earlier in the year!

Zac turns 9! APRIL 2014

Zachy, how can you be nine years old already?  You have been such a joy since the day you arrived. You have always been constant motion and energy and you have always had the most gentle heart and kind spirit!  We had a blast celebrating you at Fun Trackers with your best buds!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACHY!

Nate turns 11! March 2014

I just want to slow time down.  I can my first born be eleven!  Time is passing too quickly and yet I am enjoying every moment.  Nate was the first one who made me a mommy and has been such a blessing to our family since the very first minute of the very first day!

I hope you enjoyed celebrating your special day big guy!  13 will be here before we know it!  Sniff Sniff!

The Important Things: Ben's Baptism 2014

For month's Ben has been asking questions about asking Jesus in to his heart and baptism.  He has seen both of his older brothers be baptized, his cousin Matt, and most recently his cousin Molly.  So finally we prayed the prayer in his room one night and then I made an appointment with our pastor for him to go visit about what it means to be saved and to be baptized.  Oh to have child-like faith... there is nothing more pure and beautiful than the faith of a child that has yet to be tested by difficulties in life and clouded by outside influences.

On April 06, 2014, Benjamin Scott was baptized.  We were so lucky to have Jenny, Molly and Matt; Mar Mar and Jim; Nana and Papa Doc; and Grandma and Grandpa present to celebrate with us. What a blessing it is to know that our family will spend eternity together.  My prayer is that he will never question his salvation and that as he grows in age his love for and understanding of Christ will grow.  Love you Ben Ben!

Ben on the Sunday that he "walked down the isle" to stand by Brother Philip and profess his faith and publicly acknowledge that he'd asked Jesus into his heart.

So thankful for God's AMAZING GRACE!

BASKETBALL! Nate's first LOVE!

One of these days I'm going to buy a good camera that takes action shots!  Nate has had another good season of basketball.  I'm usually so busy watching and cheering that I forget to take any pictures.  I know I will regret it one day but I just get so involved in the game I forget!  They've had a great season and it is always sad to see it come to an end!  Love my #21!!  This kid has more heart and works so hard on the court!  I know he has many more years of basketball ahead of him!

Going on a Bear Hunt!

We were so lucky that we were able to go with Jason Mitchell, his daughter Carly, and the Game & Fish guys to go locate a mama bear and her cubs that they had been tracking.  The bear was tranquilized and we were able to hold her baby cubs while G&F got measurements on the mama and her cubs.  I was an experience of a lifetime!  We all wanted to take one of these babies home!
