Look Who is Three!!!!! Ben Ben!!!!

I wrote this nearly a month ago, but it has taken me this long to post it! Bad Mommy! Seriously, can it have been three years since this precious, lively little boy joined our family? Well apparently so.

He was a lucky boy and got to celebrate for 3 days straight. His first party was with his "buddies" at school and his teacher Mrs. Kelwee (Kelly)! He had cupcakes with candles and his whole class sang "Happy Birthday"! He was all smiles when I picked him up from school! That was on September 9th! The next day, Sept. 10th, was his real birthday. We kept it pretty low key singing happy birthday and sticking candles wherever he wanted them. We new the BIG celebration would be the next day so we just enjoyed spending the day singing Happy Birthday and loving on our 3-year old!

Now Saturday was the big "shing-ding"! We celebrate Ben and Molly's 3rd birthday (even though Molly's is still 6 weeks away). We love having joint birthday celebrations because it is a big gathering of family and close friends and Molly and Ben Ben love each other so much! There was plenty of bouncing in the bouncy house with all of the cousins and riding ride toys with all of the cousins. It was a hot day but that did not slow the little ones down. We had lots of yummy pizza and Ben's favorite part was the "birthday cake"! Well I should really say the birthday icing! He and Molly blew out the candles and then Ben licked the cake (that spot became his piece to eat)! Sweet little Molly is just so stink'in cute, you just want to gobble her up like the yummy birhday cake!
It was such a fun day and we are so thankful for the family and friends who were able to attend and we missed those who could not. We are so blessed to have 3 wonderful boys and it is so hard to believe that my "baby" is a big 3 year old! He and his 2 brothers (and daddy too) are my whole world! Happy Birthday Sweet Ben Ben & Molly Girl!

LABOR DAY WEEKEND!!!!

Labor Day weekend was spent enjoying the FABULOUS weather (nights in the 40s) camping on the Caddo River! Seriously, Tim kept the boys down at the river Sat-Mon with brief forays up to the house! I spent time going back and forth to Little Rock to visit with my family and sweet Memaw who had two procedures preformed on her precious heart. She is doing O.K.

Saturday night when I got back from Little Rock, I joined the boys at their camp out! They had already roasted hot dogs and made smores by the time I got home (I made a detour through Arkadelphia from Little Rock to do laundry at the laundry mat)! Tim and I enjoyed some time just hanging out by the fire enjoying the stars and the quiet while the boys, who were worn out from fishing and swimming, were quietly tucked in their tents. Nate and Zac sleep in one tent and Tim, Ben and I in the other. It was a good night, I woke several times to make sure Ben was still covered up.

The boys caught fish and ate it the next morning for breakfast (while I was up making cinnamon rolls)! Later that afternoon, after lots of swimming, Nate caught a bass.... they ate it for dinner after cooking it over the camp fire..... then they topped it off with Pizza!
The boys all slept outside while I slept inside and put away all of the clean laundry! I spent Monday in Little Rock with my memaw, papa and family while the boys continued their adventures!

They are pretty lucky to live on the river and have a super dooper daddy who loves the outdoors as much as they do!
