Disneyland Part Two
This is at lunch time on our first day. She had quite the exciting morning. We headed back to the hotel to grab lunch, try to let her sleep more and Kendal had to head to a work meeting.
This was the entrance to California Adventure.
Disneyland
We are so thankful that Kendal came with us because she made it possible for Chris and I to enjoy the rides, too. I love Disneyland--it does feel like a magical place. It was all decked out for Halloween. We went to the Matterhorn first because we headed to the new finding Nemo ride and was already a two hour wait (so we passed and we later heard that it's definitately NOT worth the wait), so while Chris and I rode the bobsled Kendal took Madison to the Teacups (which she smiled the entire time) and then to Dumbo. When Chris saw the Dumbo ride, he too wanted to ride with Madison. She liked making it go up and down.

Ready, set, go...
Does this little girl look ready to go to Disneyland?? Chris' firm takes everyone to Disneyland for two days. So we left last Thursday and arrived in Anaheim where Aunt Kendal met us. We went to Wicked in LA that night with my friend Ryanne. We had amazing seats--3rd row thanks to Dana's Dad and also thanks to Dana's parents for watching Madison. Friday morning there was an anxious little boy (chris) who could hardly wait to cross the street and enter the Happiest place on earth.

New Tricks...
When I say Madison has new tricks, does it sound I like I have a little puppy who I am teaching tricks to?? As you will see in the video, she has learned to "pound it" and do the actions to a couple of songs. It would probably be more fun if you could see what I was doing too so you could know how well she mimicks me. Sorry that the camera shakes, but I'm trying to do some of the actions with her. Today we went to Storytime at the library and the storylady plays a song "Silly Dance Contest" and Madison loves it. She dances fast and slow and freezes just like the song says. She's really starting to pay better attention and do the actions with the storylady.

Sprinklers
On Saturday we had the opportunity to go to St. George for Chris' cousin's wedding. We were up at 5:30 a.m. Madison got all dressed up in her special Peruvian sweater that Uncle Chase and Grandma and Grandpa brought her and her cute maryjane shoes.
After the temple ceremony (12:00 p.m.) Madison having been up since 6:00 a.m. was more than ready for a nap and didn't like posing for pictures. Chris kept her happy by showing her the sprinklers (which by the way--why were they on in the middle of the day?) and she loved them. As soon as she was down on the ground it was a race to the sprinklers. She was soaked from head to toe. As you can tell she loves "washing" herself and especially her hair!

Park Time
We've been enjoying beautiful weather lately. These pictures were taken last Friday at Playgroup. Madison especially loves the park now that she can walk all over. She has so much fun. This week Chris has been in trial and has been taking my car. So we've been walking down to the park by our house. She's figured out how to go down the slides all by herself and loves "running"--walking fast and clumsily--all around. And it's been great for me because it wears her out for her afternoon nap.

Silly girl
Last week we had to run to the DMV early one morning to get a matter straightened out about our car. When we got home I was feeding Madison a late breakfast and she was being so silly. She kept propping her legs up on the side of her chair. Madison learned a new word yesterday, "NO". We had been dreading the day....and now she goes around saying it.

Out for a walk
Last Sunday after Conference we went for a walk and Chris insisted on putting Madison's jeans and hoodie on. Mind you this was after an attempt for a nap. Madison probably slept 20 minutes and cried off and on for an hour. So she's kind of got a sad look on her face, but she was happy to be outside.
