High Fashion & Baby Update
Doesn't she look all posh and fancy in her designer (not really) suit and her hair all slicked backed? My Grandma gave this outfit to Madison and Chris thinks she looks like a mini -Grandma Rae Dene in it.
BABY UPDATE: just thought we'd give you an update on the little one. I went to the doctor today and am measuring 34 weeks (making 40 weeks August 11th). So it looks like we'll have an early August baby, which will enable us to go to NM for my brother McKay's mission homecoming! Everything looks good with me and the baby. We still have not picked out a name...we might just have to wait until she arrives and get a good look at her. It's hard to believe that we're just a few weeks away...

Sundays are Hard
We go to church from 12:30-3:30 which is right during Madison's nap time (1:30-4:30). So when we get home from church it's hard for her because usually it's just too late to put her down. This first picture is actually on Monday May 26th--she had no nap on Sunday and my family had been here the night before so she didn't go to bed until 11:30 p.m. She was just on the couch Monday morning watching a movie while I was getting ready and I came back out to check on her and found her this way.
These two pictures are from a Sunday afternoon. Chris was at meetings and I was doing something in the back and came out and found her this way. I just laid her out on the couch with a blanket and she slept for 1 1/2 hours. Poor thing, I feel so bad because I know she's so tired. What a terrible postion to fall asleep in.

Tubby Time
This little girl loves her baths. This is a new favorite position--for some reason she loves laying on her tummy.
She'll probably hate it that I took this picture of her. It's funny because Chase & Dana had a wedding video and there was a picture of Chase just like this!!! ( I wish I had a copy of it)

Father's Day!
Chris is such a great husband and Father. Madison LOVES her Daddy so much. She loves when she hears the door rattle, which means he's coming home. She loves when he takes her on special outings--just the two of them. Last night she told me to go back and watch my show--she wanted to be alone with Daddy. Last Sunday the early meetings were cancelled so Chris got to sleep in a bit. Madison was so excited for him to open his Presents. She was very helpful.

New Mexico Reception
I wish I had before and after pictures so you all could truly appreciate the backyard. The NM reception was held in my parents backyard. They bought this house when Kendal got married almost six years ago. The yard was awful and they've slowing been putting it together. My Dad dug up the back and put in a real sprinkler system. He planted the grass seed, laid all the concrete, put in a waterfall in the front yard....anyway there's been much work involved. When Chase and Dana decided to get married in May that motivated my Dad to move forward with his plans for the backyard. Chase arrived home the first of May. Chase, Dad and Mom put together the gazeebo in between track meets every Saturday, Church meetings 4 days a week, State Track Meet, Ali's graduation--not a whole lot of time. When we arrived in NM Thursday night before the Saturday reception there was still a lot of work to be done. Imagine everywhere from where the stream/pond begins just dirt. They built the waterfall, stream, pond--all dug by hand by Ryder and Dad. Hundreds of wheelbarrow loads of rocks....I don't think Chris and Martin have ever worked so hard. Everything was finished and set up by 5:15 p.m. Saturday evening with the reception starting at 6:00 p.m. and everyone needing to shower. Needless to say we all made it. I spent my two days in the kitchen baking for the reception and keeping everyone fed. Kendal did the decorations. It was a little windy that night but everything was beautiful and everyone had a great time. I put Chris in charge of taking pictures--thus the reason there are so few. The first few are ones that Dana's sister took.

California Part 6: Angels Game
After a fun day at Disneyland we headed over to an Angels game. Dana's Dad got us amazing 5th row seats behind the visitors dugout. When we went into the game they gave Madison a wiffle ball and bat--Chris was very excited about this. This was Madison's first professional baseball game. The evening was beautiful and it's an amazing stadium.

California Part 5: Disneyland
On the Saturday after the wedding my parents left at 6:00 a.m. to head back to NM for Stake Conference--we were sad to have them go but understand with Dad's calling that he needs to be there. So Kendal, Martin and the Ormes headed to Disneyland. Madison really took everything in alot more than when we were there in October and I know when we go in October this year she'll love it even more. We went straight to the Peter Pan ride as this is her favorite movie. These first pictures are us waiting in line. She's funny because she doesn't really say anything during the ride, but after "Fun! That's fun Mommy!"

Aunt Kendal and Madison as we wait for Mr. Toad's Wild Ride--and let me tell it is wild!

Kendal and Martin called Madison on this ride.

Uncle Martin and Dad took Madison on the big carousel. She loves it! Just a permanent grin the whole time. In California Adventure she rode King Tritan's Carousel six times--she doesn't want to get off and she loves waving to whomever is watching.

We rode the Winne the Pooh ride and saw Tigger and Winnie the Pooh. She was afraid of Tigger, but when she saw Pooh she was so happy. The line was sooooooooooooo long to see them so Kendal just took her to the side to look and she kept waving to Pooh and wanted to go over to him.

We saw Elastic Girl and Madison kept saying "incredibles, incredibles" and wouldn't take her eyes off of her. Chris kept calling to her as Mrs. Incredible. In this picture you'll notice Madison with some purple beads. Let me explain...last year when we went Chris caught some green beads when the performers were singing in New Orleans and he wanted to get her some more. But whenever we were there they weren't performing. We ended up eating lunch in New Orleans. I ran to bathroom and when I came back Chris was gone. KEndal and Martin didn't know where he had gone--he said something like "OH, I'm money at this..." and ran off. Then I heard a band and it all clicked--Chris was over trying to get Madison some beads. So I stand up and look over where the band is playing and sure enough there is Chris and the next thing we know--Chris is on stage. The gave him an instrument and he's playing with the band. We were dying of laughter and of course Chris had the camera in his pocket. They gave him some purple beads when he was done. They had been throwing them, but only to the kids! He was very pleased with himself!

California Part 4: The Reception
Disclaimer: We could not find our camera after the beach excursion, so I was unable to take any of my own pictures at the reception. I got these pictures off of Dana's sister-in-law's blog. I'm still waiting for Ali and Kendal to send me their pictures.
The reception was held at the Balboa Bay. It was a gorgeous view--right on the water. There was a live band playing and Madison was on the dance floor all night--in fact she was the only out there for the first part. The food was delicious. Ryder gave the cutest best man speech.

California Part 3: The Beach
The first and last time my family went to California was the summer of 1997. That was the first time any of us besides my Dad had seen the beach and the ocean. We went on a Sunday and just looked. Ryder was just 4 and he got a little too close and a wave knocked him down and he got wet! My parents, Ali, Ryder & McKay have not been back since that summer. So my Mom wanted to see the ocean again and show the kids. After the wedding we had a little time before the reception, so we went down to look. Madison and Ryder changed clothes. Madison loved the water. It was so beautiful!
