Odds and Ends...

At preschool a few weeks ago we made little bird nests. Madison of course did not want to get her hands dirty!

My mom gave me a bunny cupcake pan in my Easter Basket, so I made it for Madison's preschool class. The whole bunny just breaks apart--it's individual cupcakes in the shape of a bunny.
A few Sundays ago some of the YM were hanging out at our house and the boys all took turns holding Claire. She snuggled right up to Edward and was falling asleep in his arms.

Madison loves playing dress-up, especially with Claire. Claire is a good sport! Madison loves to wear her Cinderella dress.

Our Ballerina

When Claire was born we were given the book "Angelina Ballerina." For the past three months we've read that book every day and Madison asks me when she gets to take Ballet Lessons. I've been meaning to look into it, but had never gotten around to it. Finally, I did a little research and we checked out a studio last week. She was so excited and had a permanent grin on her face the entire class. It's a one combination class--tap, ballet & tumbling. She says her favorite is tap. We tried two different classes last week and the teacher put her in the older class (3-4 year-olds.). Her teacher's name is Ms. Laurie and she's great with the girls. Madison loves getting her leotard & tights on.

Our happy, crawling baby. Who's favorite thing to do is crawl to the entertainment center and grab the wires behind the TV. Madison is quick to inform me when Claire is up to no good. Claire loves being around Madison. Whenever she wakes up she's always looking to see where Madison is and her face lights up when she finds her. This afternoon I put Madison down for her nap first and Claire was playing in the front room and before I knew it she had crawled over to Madison's room and pushed the door open! Madison calls Claire her best friend! They are so sweet together.

It's Official...

That's right folks, this sweet little happy baby is up to no good--she is crawling and in to everything. She's been so close the last few weeks but has had trouble with the hand and leg coordination. But she's got it figured out now. Sometimes her poor right leg gets dragged until she gets it under herself. She's even pulling herself up to things--just to her knees. Nothing is safe anymore.

The first week of April, Chris and I went to the Nevada Law Foundation "Silver Ball". Is office had bought a table and needed it filled. So we got dressed up and enjoyed quite the dinner--lobster, steak, pear sorbet halfway through to clean the pallet. I tried to get Chris to dance with me, but he refused!

Easter Dresses

My mom bought these dresses for the girls right after she found out we were having another girl. It was fun to have them matching. They really don't have any matching outfits. I made the bows to match the dresses. We didn't get to take pictures before church, so both girls were tired, hungry and irritable...not exactly a great recipe for good pictures. Chris was the photographer--I wish they were a little more close-up.

Easter Morning

The girls both woke up a little after 7 on Easter Morning. Madison called for Chris and she would get off her bed because she was afraid that "Cottontail" was hiding somewhere in the house.
Explanation: The night before I was trying to get her to eat her dinner and told her the Easter Bunny was watching, so she better eat it all gone. So this started a conversation...
M: What is his name?
L: Peter Cottontail
M: Does he have a Mom and Dad?
L: Yes
And the conversation continued. The night before we had gone to the mall to see the Easter Bunny and she was so excited. She told me "This is the real one and he's so sweet. I want to give him a hug and a kiss." She didn't actually sit on his lap---the line was too long. So when Sunday morning arrived and she was terrified that "Cottontail" was hiding, I was shocked. Finally, we talked her into coming out of her room to look for basket--only after assuring her that Cottontail had moved on to Spencer and Sammy's house. She was literally shaking as she walked out. But once she found her basket she was fine. Two happy girls on Easter Morning.

She got a little princess camera.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Friday before we Easter we had a playgroup Easter Egg Hunt. Here are the girls before we left in their matching shirts that Grandma & Papa H. gave them in their Easter Present. Claire is so Happy and ready to go play!

The kids are all lined up and ready to go...

Madison is off...she had so much fun!

I made cookies to share with everyone. My mom gave me these cookie cutters in my Easter Basket. Madison liked helping me make them.

Beginning of Easter Festivities...

The eggs...when I got out all my Easter stuff, Claire has loved playing with the plastic eggs. She's still not "crawling" but she moves every where. She gets up on all fours and rocks. She can sit herself up. I start her on one side of the room sitting up and before I know it she as worked her way to the other side of the ottoman and is sitting up again.

Madison was so excited to color Easter Eggs. We did it for FHE last week. Chris loves it almost as much as she does.

Spring is in the air

This is McKay and Claire when we were in Utah visiting. She is queen of the big smile. Chris and I are amazed when we're feeding her at how big her mouth opens--almost like a snake that has no jaw bone. The girls in some spring outfits! It's so fun to get out the new wardrobes and put away the old! When we were in Utah my mom got Claire this hat!

Since she doesn't have any hair we can clip her bows and flowers on the hat!
