Festive Dresses

The girls had cute black dresses on a few weeks ago. Grandma gave Madison this one when we went to visit and it is sparkly. Do you think I could get them both to cooperate for a picture?

For our last "Relief Society Meeting" we had a breakfast and they asked me to make a fruit trifle. So I came up with a recipe after consulting Mom and other recipes. Everyone said it was delicious and I thought it looked beautiful. I mix a dry pudding with the yogurt and that seemed to be a hit.

High School Football

When we went to NM we went to Ryder's football game. He is the quarterback. It was FREEZING!!! I can't remember the last time I've been that cold. Luckily my Mom got a babysitter for the girls because they would have been miserable. There was so on the bleachers! Here we are all bundled up before the game--Dad, Mom, Me, Chris. Me and Ryder--seriously isn't he handsome!

Madison one morning getting ready to go jump on the trampoline and Grandma's. She loves to jump!

Gilcrease Orchard Field Trip

A few weeks ago we went to the Gilcrease Orchard for a preschool fieldtrip. Madison has a new best friend--Sammy. She used to be "in love" with Spencer, Sammy's older brother. They played great together and he was always protecting her, but now he's four and a definite boy and is always pretend fighting and superheroes and doesn't have as much time for girls. Sammy is just two months older than Madison and they have become fast friends. Whenever we get to preschool she asks "Where's Sammy?" She has now decided that she's going to marry Sammy after he serves a boy mission and she goes on a girl mission. Needless to say, we are thankful for Spencer & Sammy's friendship!

Cookie Haunted House

Grandma also bought a chocolate cookie house for Madison to decorate. She was SO exicted and could hardly wait for Ryder to get home from school so they could decorate.

The proud little girl with her house and Papa!

Pumpkin Carving and Cupcakes with Grandma!

While we were in New Mexico Grandma had all kinds of activities planned to do with Madison. She had several pumpkins and she let Madison pick which one she wanted to carve and she got her a special carving kit with crazy eyes.

Madison thought this was so funny!

Then she wanted to take my picture.

She wanted a happy pumpkin not a scary one.

Then they made and decorated cupcakes. Grandma let Madison pick out what kind of cake and frosting (white cake with choc. frosting) and had fun ghosts sprinkles. Madison made a choo-choo train with all the cupcakes!

She really is my little baker! She loves to help cook in the kitchen. Last week I took Claire to the doctor for her 15 month check-up. She was 30 1/2 in. 24. lbs. 7 oz. --I compared her stats to Madison at 15 months and Madison was 2 inches taller, 3 1/2 lbs. heavier, but Madison had a smaller head! Both girls got flu shots and then the next day I took them down to the Health District and got them the swine flu shot. Madison only got the mist for both and she freaked out worse than Claire did with the shots!

Trick or Treating

This year was Madison's first time to actually go trick or treating. We were in New Mexico so Ryder and Chris took Madison and Claire around to a few houses in the neighborhood. Grandma is putting a little make-up on Madison--she thought this was quite neat.

Someone gave Madison a gummy finger and she was terrified!

Trunk-or-Treat

We had our Ward Trunk-or-Treat the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It was quite cold that night so we had it indoors. The girls had lots of fun. We had a ladybug and a Bumble Bee (who could actually buzzzzz).

I made pumpkin cupcakes for the cupcake walk.

Pumpkin Carving for F.H.E.

Two weeks ago we carved our pumpkin for Family Home Evening. Madison wanted circle eyes, a star nose, and a smiley face.

Claire wanted to investigate...
