Christmas Clothes

I don't know where the month of January has gone? We have been extremely busy, we've already had 2 sets of visitors (Grandma Rae Dene & Grandpa Kirk and Uncle Martin and Aunt Kendal). We've been to Utah to visit family and witness the blessings of Porter and Tate! I feel like I'm treading water trying to stay afloat with everything that is goin on! But life is good! Little Miss Evelyn continues to grow and be a delight in our family. Lately she's been giving me kisses on the mouth--so sweet. She sits up great! She rolls like no other--literally from one end of the room to the other. She has gotten up on all fours and taken one crawling motion--she is defintely getting close. She LOVES to eat and is starting to figure out her pinchers! She has the cutest belly laugh and giggles. She continues to be the best baby ever and is so chill. Here she's sporting a new outfit from Grandma & Papa and legwarmers that Aunt Lo made her for Christmas.

Miss Claire has decided that she onlylikes to wear "up" sleeves aka short sleeves and doesn't like "down" sleeves--long sleeves. She is really growing up. She continues to make me laugh every day. Lately she's been telling me to take a chill pill. The other day she said something not so cute..she told me to "shut up". I did a double take and said what?! I explained that we don't say that and if she repeated it again she'd get soap in her mouth. Then she kept asking who taught her that word. First she suggested Grandma, but when I said we'd call and ask she changed her story and said maybe Papa taught her, so she called Papa, but he told her no way. She did tell the grass to shutup the other day. I said something to her and she said, "I didn't say it to you Mom. I said it to the grass." Claire also loves wearing skirts, so she's okay wearing these up sleeves and skirt that Grandma and Papa got her.

This sweet girl has now lost both front teeth. Over Christmas one was super loose and Uncle Chase said if she lost it on Christmas day the tooth fairy would bring $100!!! She tried hard but it ended up coming out two days later. She lost the second one last week! Now she's lost 4 teeth and is only 5! She's wearing her new sweater and shoes from grandma and Papa and her new bow that Aunt Lo made.

Swimming Lessons

While we were in New Mexico over Christmas the girls took swimming lessons. Claire insisted that she have Ali. They had fun. Madison loves going off the diving board. Claire was scared but Ryder threw her off.

When we were at a wedding reception a few months ago we took this picture. My only regret is that we didn't wake up Evelyn to be in the picture with us! They girls thought it was so fun!

Hathaway Grandkids

Well at the start of 2011 there were 2 Hathaway granddaughters and by the end there were 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Here they all are with Grandma and Papa. I like how Cora and Evelyn are each comforting one of the twins.

All the girls...I like Cora looking up at Madison.

All the kiddos...again Evelyn trying to calm Porter down.

I wish we would have cleaned Claire's face off!!

Christmas Day

We debated about what to do for Christmas morning because we had to leave for church at 8:40 a.m. We decided to check out what Santa left and then after church open presents. Well, Cora and Claire were both early risers and we had to keep them occupied until 7 a.m. We ended up waking Madison and Ryder up! Madison has been wanting a Jasmine costume for a long time! She was so excited.

Evelyn with her new cabbage patch doll and Uncle Ryder...on most occasions if you wondered where Evelyn was it was on Ryder's lap! I think he's trying to spend as much time as possible with her because when he gets home from his mission she'll be almost 2!

The Hathaways all ready for Church.

Everyone changed back into their jammies, ate brunch and then we started in on presents. (Evelyn was asleep all during presents) Aunt Lo had Claire.

She made her the cutest apron (it has a "C and a picture of a bear" for C-bear), cupcake wand, Princess Tiana cookbook, cutest bows and nerds!

Aunt Kendal had Madison.

She has been wanting a robe! She was thrilled and LOVES wearing it. Kendal also got her an "artist barbie" and a fur coat!

Madison had Ryder. Her and Claire picked him out a tie and a missionary journal.

The happiness...

Grandma had a late night frosting 3 dozen cinnamon rolls that barely last 24 hours, so her and Evelyn took a little nap together.

We had such a nice Christmas day. I was also able to go visit my Grandma Sherwood and my Grandpa Earl. We received many wonderful things. It was so nice to be together with family. Chris' favorite present was probably his dutch oven from my parents---he's been dying for one. Now I'm just waiting for him to use it!

Pajamas

After our fun festivities the children opened new pajamas. Evelyn went first.

Cora was next and then Claire.

And then Madison...

And then Ryder-boy and Ali.
