Little Friends

These two are just three weeks apart with Evelyn being the elder. They see each other across the room at church and smile! Evelyn might be a little to forward...always trying to hold his hand and give him kisses! He doesn't care for that! We were watching him the other night and they had some play time. Evelyn however did not like when I was holding Tommy instead of her!

Today Evelyn waved bye-bye for the first time and says (bah-bah)! It was so adorable. I told Chris at our old home I would stand out on the porch every morning and wave bye-bye with the baby when he went to work. Now that we have a garage we don't do that so we never really practiced/taught her! Evelyn now greets us in the morning by standing up in her crib. She's stood alone a few times. She pulls herself up to everything! She LOVES talking on the phone!

St. Patrick's Day

My girls love any holiday and St. Patrick's day was no exception. Saturday morning they woke up to a trail of clovers and gold that led to a little present of rainbow licorice and rolos! Claire woke up at like 6:15 and called to me. She was going potty with a mouthful of chocolate! I went and got Krispy Kreme St. Patty donuts and they drank green milk! I couldn't resist this little dress for Evie to wear.

The Destructor

I love that Claire has such a vivid imagination and will play by herself for hours with her toys. However, she is so quick to make messes and does not clean up very well!!! I am amazed at how quickly she can destory my house. One evening she set up "camp" in the dining room and hallway.

This little Miss is a crawling machine. She goes from one room to another getting into everything! She climbs up the fireplace and reaches into the potted plant to eat and play in dirt! Empties garbage cans, puts anything and everything into her mouth, has found the girls bookshelf (way back in the corner of their room) and empties it!!!

Claire was terrified that she was going to destory her set up!

Lounging

One Saturday morning I got up and went to exercise and left Evelyn in bed with Chris. I came home to him snoring and she was just laying beside him. (the big girls were watching the "hub" in the front room. That is their new favorite station to watch Saturday morning cartoons.)

I took Claire and Madison to the dentist last week and they both had great check-ups. The dentist said Madison has a mature mouth--that of a 7 or 8 year old instead of the 5 year old she is. She has lost 4 teeth and they are already almost in. She has her six year molars and has great teeth! Claire on the other had still has no cavities but we need to watch her. Lately she cries every time we brush her teeth! It is driving me crazy. I have bough three different toothpastes trying to please her!!!

Jailbird

About 2 1/2 weeks ago this is how we found Evelyn one morning! Facing the door just waiting for us to come rescue her. Needless to say two days later we lowered the crib. We didn't want to take any chances of her toppling over. Saturday she learned a new trick. She can click her tongue and make a noise. It's so cute and she loves hearing herself!

Little Mover

This little cutie is into everything! She loves blowing rasberries on my cheeks and today she was doing it and then bit down! OUCH! Now I'm scared to let her do it.

She does this quite often--it's like she's going to do a somersault!

On the move...

So Evelyn is officially on the move. These pictures were taken a week ago. She started pulling herself up to the fireplace. On Friday we went to the doctor for her nine month check-up and the doctor asked if she was crawling. I said not really--she was getting on all fours and lunging, but then that same afternoon she did it! She also pulled herself up to the otttoman and chair for the first time. Chris had to fly to Reno on Friday and when he called to check in after his flight got back I was sharing all of Evelyn's news and he said "I was only gone for the day right??" It is amazing how fast they change and discover new things. Sunday afternoon the I had put Evelyn down in her room with some toys and I was helping Madison and Claire pick up their room and I look up and there's Evelyn. She had crawled from her room to the girls. It's so funny to see this little face peek around a corner. She crawled from her room to my room this morning!! Nothing is safe!!

Nine Month Appointment

Evelyn had her nine month apppointment today. She weighed 19 lbs. 4 oz. and was 28 inches. She's 50-75%. She's my "little" girl. The doctor said she looks great and is doing good. Today she pulled herself up to the ottoman and chair in the living room. We are lowing her crib tomorrow. She's been giving big kisses to all of us lately and blowing big rasberries on our necks and cheeks. The girls love it. Claire loves to sit Evelyn up and she has her straddle her back and then Claire scoots around on her bottom and pulls Evelyn around saying "choo-choo". Evelyn holds on for dear life and just laughs and laughs!

Kitchen

So Claire finally earned her kitchen. She had been staying in her bed so good until the last few nights...We've been locking our door at night. So lately she's been knocking on our door or she stays in her bed and calls for us. Last night Chris went in at 4 a.m. She had a bad dream about a cat attacking her. She was still talking about it this morning. The girls love the kitchen! I love the kitchen! It is so cute and they love playing with it!

Evie at Nine Months

I just wanted to document some of Evelyn's new achievements. Yesterday she sat herself up all by herself. Madison and I were reading books on the couch and she was playing in front of us. When she did it I was so surprised. We clapped for her and then she would clap for herself and get so excited. I found her other top front tooth yesterday. I can tell it is painful! This morning we went in to get her because it was time for school and there she was sitting up in her crib. She was quite pleased with herself. A few nights ago we were kneeling down for family prayer and I was holding her. She leaned over and grabbed Chris' shirt and said "Dadada" all during the prayer. We have a little barn that goes on the fridge that plays songs. She will push the button and then clap her hands to the rhythm of the song. It's so cute! One of her favorite books to read is "Hands, hands fingers thumb" She giggles every time I get it out. Today as we were reading before her nap she was giving the monkeys kisses. She's started the body stiffing when she doesn't want to be put down or go in her car seat! I can't believe she'll be nine months tomorrow!!
