The girls were very excited to find their Easter baskets Sunday morning. The big girls had to wait for Evie to wake up and that was very hard!



I asked Chris where Evie was and we looked around and she was sitting in her hair chillin' waiting for her turn to get her hair done.

FYI:  it is so HOT in Las Vegas today!  It is supposed to be 98 and it feels like it! I'm not ready for the heat!

After our hike we colored Easter Eggs.  Evie didn't quite get it...she kept trying to drink the colored water.  The kids had so much fun.  We had about 3 dozen eggs for the kids to dye!

The Saturday before Easter we headed out to Redrock to do a little hike with our friends the Doxeys. The kids loved it.  I couldn't go on the entire hike as my pregnant body was not getting up on a certain ledge and then back down again, so I waited in the shade for a little bit.  We are happy to report no injuries and lots of fun!

Over springbreak I was able to have a college roommate reunion here in Vegas. These three girls are some of my most dear friends.  It's crazy to think we've been friends for so long now (15 years this fall!!!)  We were thrown together our freshman year as roommates and remained together until we all got married and graduated.  Now we all have little ones.  It was so fun!  We ate yummy food together, spent a day at the park,  checked out the new children's museum, girls night out (Chris and James watched the kiddos).

The museum was super crowded.  They had been reaching max capacity of 3000 every day and turning people away!

One Sunday afternoon she was playing and feeding her babies. It was so cute. She loves playing with her dolls and has really taken to playing with her grocery cart lately. She always puts a baby in it and then fills it with all kinds of things from their play kitchen.

I love the change of season and the new wardrobe. It's so fun seeing the girls in clothes that the older child wore.  Evelyn is obssessed with wearing dresses.  She loves putting them on, spinning and picking them out.

Eveyln loves playing with baby dolls. Needless to say there are an abundant amount of dolls to play with.  She loves pushing them in the stroller, putting them to bed in the crib, feeding them in the high chair and pusing them in the baby swing.  She always has a baby with her. (right now she is watching TV holding a baby).

Grandma and Papa sent the girls new dresses in their Easter package. They loved that they were twirling dresses!

Some of our favorite people came to visit.  Brock had a baseball game against UNLV on Monday March 18th, so Ali came down Friday night after work and spent the weekend with us.  Lucky for her it happened to be St. Patrick's Day and that is a big deal in the Orme household.  Claire claims it is one of her favorite holidays and she had been talking about it for weeks.  We  had a delicious dinner with rainbow fruit platter, green juice and keylime cupcakes, green jello jigglers.  Brock was able to spend all day Sunday with us.  They got to hear Claire's primary talk (she did awesome and all by herself!), Madison sang a solo in Relief Society (I am a Child of God) and she did great!  Evie sat on Brock's lap all during Sacrament Meeting and gave him hugs and kisses.  The kind Aunt and Uncle played endless games with the kiddos and after they went to bed the adults played a round of settlers which Ali won.  Monday afternoon we went the baseball game.  We had such a fun time with them!  We're so glad they game for a visit.

Evelyn loves anything dress up!  This hat is a favorite.  She came down the hall wearing it saying "yee-haw"!

The second week of March marked the end of the second trimester. Madison had an awards ceremony.  Chris was supposed to have a court hearing that morning but it got cancelled the day before, so he got to come.  Madison was so glad!  She received straight A honor roll and a P.E. award.  She is such a perfectionist and works so hard to get good grades.  It really bothers her if she doesn't get a 100% on an assignment.  We've had many a talks that as long as she's doing her best that is all that matters.  She missed one on her spelling test a while back (she wrote her d backwards on the word down) and she was devastated!  We are so proud of how hard she works and how good she does.  She has become a reading maniac.  She would read all night if we would let her.  Chris told her she could read during the day too, but she said she prefers to read at night. 

Chris' parents came to vist the first weekend of March.  Friday afternoon they went to lunch and the movie OZ with Chris and Claire.  Friday evening they headed to the WCC tournament with Chris and Madison to watch BYU lose! :(  It was a late game.  It didn't start until almost 9 p.m.!  Saturday morning they came to breakfast and then headed to the women's game.  Saturday evening, Dottie, Madison, Claire and I went to watch the BYU Folkdancers.  The girls (me too) loved it!  Madison was in "aahhh" of everything.  Claire fell asleep by intermission.  Mike and Chris had a boys night with Evelyn.  We wish BYU would have won more so they could have stayed longer.  We sure had fun!  These were the only pictures I took all weekend!
