Evelyn turns 2!

Our sweet little Evelyn turned 2 on June 3rd!  I can't believe it's been two years.  She is such a joy to our family.  She adores her big sisters and makes us all laugh with her silly antics.  She had been obsessed with Ariel awhile back so we decided to have an Ariel themed birthday.  Madison and Claire planned and prepared.  They were so excited for everything.  I attempted an Ariel cake.  She knew who it was so that's all that matters.  We invited her best friend Tommy over because how could we celebrate with out him.  Every day when we get in the car she asks "Where's Tommy?"  When they see each other they get so happy!  She is a good eater and will eat just about anything I put in front of her.  She sleeps great--about a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon and then down 7-7.  She loves to "watch a show" or eat a "snack" (fruit snack).  She loves dancing and reading stories.  She loves playing with princesses and Barbies.  She still has curly hair!  She has 3 of her 4 two year molars.  She talks a lot and says sweet prayers.  She loves pushing her grocery cart around and playing with the kitchen.  She loves going to nursery at church.  I took her in for her 2 year appointment and she weighed 29 lbs. and was 35 inches tall--75%.  I think she's our smallest.

She was licking the frosting.

The big girls loved decorating and planning party games.

She was so cute opening her presents--one tiny paper at a time.
She knew exactly what to do with the candles!

She got a train track.  She loves trains too!

Uncle Chase and Aunt Dana got her a princess back pack--she says "pack pack".  She loves filling it with treasures.

A new princess outfit from Grandma.
Her new Ariel doll that Grandma sent.  Grandma also got her a stool, so she can sit up to the counter with the big girls.  She no longer sits in her high chair and LOVES being a big girl with her sisters.  She was very loved by so many and got so many fun things. We love Evelyn and are so glad she is part of our family!

Awards Assembly

I found one more picture that Claire took of Evelyn at the assembly. The next day Madison had her awards assembly. She received 6 awards:
1.  Accelerated Reader (she went through her library program 4 times and earned around 180 AR points on books she read!)
2.  Awesome Attendance for the 3rd Trimester.  (This has been a goal of hers.  She missed one day the first trimester when we left a day early for Thanksgiving.  She missed one day the second trimester because she had the flu.  She was so mad at me for keeping her home.)
3.  Art Award (the art specialist gave it to her)
4.  A honor roll
5.  A's all year long
6.  Sensational Citizenship
When her teacher read all her awards all the kids went "whooaa"  they were impressed that she had so many.  Madison is such a hard worker and wants to succeed!   Her teacher let her pick 6 restaurant coupons to go along with her awards--2 in-n-out free cheeseburgers, one free port of subs kids meal, 1 carls jr. hamburger, 2 free Chili's kid meals.  She was so proud when she came home from school with these...look at all the money we can save by going out to dinner!

First Grade Assembly

All the First Grade performed for an assembly.  Each class worked with a different specialist.  Madison's class worked with the P.E. teachers and performed a dance.  It was so fun to watch.  I video taped and Claire was in charge of pictures.  It was a little crazy.  There were so many people there and not enough room and I had both girls by myself.  Madison's class was last and Evelyn had run out of patience!  Madison did something equivalent to a hip hop dance.  It was quite entertaining.

Pedicures

Since Madison scored a goal in her last soccer game she won a trip to the "spa" to get a pedicure.  She done this a few times and has told Claire all about it, so Claire has been wanting to go as well.  We went on Memorial Day weekend.  Chris had big plans to take the girls to the movie, but when given the option of pedicure or movie they both chose pedicure.  He was devastated!  It was all they could think about all day.  We left Evelyn down for a nap (which means Chris got a nap as well) and off we went.  When we first walked in Claire said "oooo this stinks.  I don't like this spa let's go to a different one ."  I told her it would be okay and we were staying (it was just the smell of fingernail polish).  Claire giggled most of the time they were touching her feet.  They both had a fabulous time!  Afterward we picked out cupcakes and took wings home to share with Dad.  It was such a fun afternoon.

Preschool Graduation

Claire was so excited for her preschool "graduation".  She had such a fun time with the 6 little girls.  She is definitely ready for kindergarten.  I just don't know if I'm ready for her to go.

Gymnastics

The girls (all three) have been doing gymnastics and they all love it!  This was the last day of Claire's class and they let the younger siblings come in as well.  Claire kept telling me to take pictures.  Evelyn started in January and I've seen real progress as far as her patience in waiting her turn and listening to what the teacher says.
