Don't you just love those chubby cheeks!!!

We are definitely all smitten with this sweet little one. Evelyn can not go by here without squeezing her cheeks and giving her a kiss.  Claire always exclaims "oh, Lily!  I haven't seen you all day!" and gives her a little squeeze.  Madison is so good to sing, hold and calm her down.  I love giving those cheeks kisses and getting big smiles from her.  Even her Daddy is quite smitten now that she cries less and smiles more!

Well, we survived the crying it out at night.   It took about three nights of her crying it out, but now she goes down at night like a champ!!!  Last night she went down at 8:30 and slept until 3:15 a.m., ate and went back down.  She woke up at 8:45 in time to take the girls to school.   It is so nice having my nights back.  She is such a happy social baby!

These sisters love each other!  Evelyn is always telling everyone that Lily is "my baby".  She's started calling her "milly" instead of baby.  She'll even say "LLLLLLL-milly".  We try to correct but she insists on Milly.  I'm sure she'll get it one day!  Lately, Evelyn has been obsessed with puzzles.  She loves putting them together and is a little OCD if she doesn't finish putting all the pieces in place.  She also loves looking at books.  I'll find her sitting on her bed just looking at books or in the big girls' room by the book shelf or in my room we have a bookshelf and the lowest shelf is kid books.  She loves books!  We are still enjoying soccer.  Claire is up to 48 goals on the season.  Madison had a header for a goal on Saturday.  She happened to be in the right spot at the right time.  Only 3 more games left!  We've been working with Lily on her sleeping habits. I've been thinking that she'll never get it and then Saturday after crying for an hour.  Chris got her up and was calming her down.  I couldn't helping because I was in the process of finishing 70 bags of gourmet popcorn for Primary.  She ended up falling asleep in his arms at 10.  She then slept until 3-ate and then I had to wake her up at 8:15 to dress and feed before church.  Last night I put her down at 9 p.m. and she fussed for a few minutes and then went to sleep and slept until 3:45 and then woke up about 7:30.  So hopefully we're making progress!!!

All the girls have worn these pajamas.  We are still struggling going to sleep at night!  She is so good all day and then such a stinker when it comes to bedtime before 11!!  Evelyn's new phrase is "Excuse me."  She says when she sneezes or coughs or needs to get around you.  A boy named Ocean in Claire's class calls her his girlfriend!  She's not quite sure what to think.  She just wants to be his friend.  He's given her hugs after school the last two days.  She is definitely our most boy crazy!  She's always chasing the boys at recess and trying to capture them with Hula hoops!  Madison passed Level 6 Math Blaster!!  We've been working on this for a while so we are so HAPPY!!!  Life is good and we are enjoying the cooler weather!

A couple of weeks ago, Claire and I decided to give Lily a bath in her little tub instead of the sink.  At first she didn't like, but then she was okay with it.  We have since done another where al the girls helped.  It's a little overwhelming when there are eight hands coming at you trying to wash your body! 



Evelyn has started up gymnastics again and loves it!  She is much better than last year.  She listens to the teacher, she can do her table, and forward rolls.  She loves doing seat drops on the trampoline and loves rolling around in the big doughnut.  Yesterday Claire's tumbling teacher came and found me as we were leaving to tell me that was Claire's best class and that something has clicked and she's doing awesome and to keep doing whatever we are doing.  I have noticed improvement in Claire and she LOVES it!  Madison is doing a cheer gymnastics class and she LOVES it.  She would watch them all last year wishing she could do.  In fact she would come home and try the cheers she watched them do.  I am seeing improvement in her as well.  They both are working on doing standing back bends.  We had great soccer games this weekend.  Madison was a defensive stopper.  She prevented so many goals.  Claire continues to thrive with 7 goals this week. 

Miss Lilly is 2 months old today!! I can't believe it and yet she feels like she's always been part of the family.  I took her in today for her 2 month appointment.  She weighed 11 lbs. 7oz (75%) and was 23 inches long (75%).  She really is sweet and gives the best smiles and has started to coo back to you when you talk to her.  She's definitely awake more and likes attention.  She does struggle with going to bed at night--like she won't go down before 11 p.m.!!  and then will sleep 5-6 hours but still that is too late to be going down.  So we're going to start the tough love and she's going to have to cry it out!!  My other girls all went down at night no problem, so this is very foreign to me.  Wish us luck!!  I'm tired!

Madison was chosen as Student of the Month for September in her class.  She got a dog tag and her picture on the wall.  She also received the citizenship award for the month of September and earned a pizza lunch with the principal.  Madison is such a good kid!  She is such a big help with Lily.  Who smiles all the time (contrary to this first picture).   She's awake a little more and still gets lots of love from Evelyn.

Two weeks ago, Chris wanted to get out on a Friday night so he talked me in to going down to the Bellagio to see the gardens.   It was all done for fall and the girls loved it of course!
