Claire's birthday was on a Sunday.  We had our traditional muffin with a candle.


She opened the rest of her presents.  Grandma completed her collection of ponies.  She had gotten the white one for Christmas and has been dying for the complete set.  Grandma came through!
She also got a new rainbow nightgown.  This girl loves her nightgowns.

We affectionately call Lily...Lily-bug, Lil, Liloes, Mill, Millie, Mills...I don't know that a little girl has ever had so many nick names!  She is so loved!  Her sisters absolutely adore her and her face lights up when she sees them.  She pulls up to everything and walks around things and she's getting braver and will let up and move between table and couch.  She loves eating...as long as it's real food.  She gave up baby food about 3 months ago.  She absolutely LOVES watermelon.  She eats it for every meal.  She loves scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, muffins.  She'll eat frozen go-gurts but not regular yogurt.  She's newly discovered string cheese and loves.  The sight of a Cheetos bag sends her into giggles.  She enjoys mac & cheese, peanut butter sandwiches, chicken nuggets, wings, frozen blueberries, Popsicles, ice cream, cupcakes, corn on the cob, beans.  She's a good eater!

I never seen a girl love tea parties as much as Claire. So this year she decided to have a Tea Party Birthday with a few friends.  We made little tea pot invites.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do as far as decor...but it all ended up coming together nicely those last few days before the party.  We had a table of accessories for all the girls to chose from.  Then we made fancy hats.  Chris read them Fancy Nancy's Tea for Two while I finished food prep.  After everyone ate we did a pinata (Claire has been dying for a pinata for years now.  She was so happy to finally have one!).  Then we sang Happy birthday and had cake and ice cream and opened presents.  We still had a little time so we did some freeze dance--what little girl doesn't love to freeze dance?!


























Claire makes me so happy!  There isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't make me smile.  She's so cuddly and loves a good snuggle.  She loves being read to, she does an awesome round-off.  She easily makes friends and isn't afraid to try new things.  She loves her sisters and loves watching Lily.  She plays great with Evelyn.  I love at night hearing her and Madison giggling in the bed!  She loves scoring soccer goals and is a pretty decent defender.  She loves performing.  She hasn't lost any teeth yet and is dying!  She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy asking her to make her loose a tooth!  A little piece of her dies inside every time one of her friends looses a tooth!  She skips where ever she goes and usually has some stuffed animal with her.  She has a great imagination!  We love our Claire Bear!!
