I finally have some more pictures up from the actual shows. Everyone is in full costume and has all their make-up on. I think Denise did a fantastic job on these costumes! I was out-of-control and took around 10,000 pictures. Anyone suprised? This was probably the hardest thing I have photographed so far. Towards the end, I finally got the hang of it. Believe it or not, it was pretty tough! The lighting was crazy up there!

We sprayed Ky with the tanning stuff a couple of times. He turned orange and was pretty blotchy in spots. With more make-up, you couldn't really tell though. That stuff really stinks! :)

I had a blast doing this for the kids. It was a lot of work, but I think I would do it again.

Here are a few shots so everyone can see just how short Ky is compared to everyone else. Jamsime was quite a bit taller than him. In some pictures, it doesn't even look like his feather reaches the top of her head. :)

Kyle is Aladdin in the school play. He is having a great time. They are having their first show this Thursday. My boy is way too white (takes after me), and we have been asked to "tan" his skin with some cheap stuff from Target. We shall see how that goes since I have never done that kind of thing before. He will look orange for a while no doubt. I just hope I can do it evenly enough. I'll have to take pictures of that!

Here are a few pictures I took from a dress rehearsal yesterday. They are still working on the costumes, but I think they look soooooo good. The lady who does them is amazing! I can't imagine how much time it must take to make that many cool costumes. Jasmine was not there yesterday, so I will add more of her and Kyle when I take more tonight. I am the photographer for this production. I have to get pictures off to the yearbook kids, so I will post more pictures after I have done a few "chores".

It only takes a few minutes for this child to make some serious messes. We usually have a policy in our house that someone has to be with Kate at all times. There is no independent play when it comes to her. She can't just play in her room by herself. That is when she colors on the walls and everything else she sees in the room.

A few Sundays ago, we came home from church and took off her dress so she could have some traditional Sunday waffles. We love to have breakfast after church for dinner. Anyway, it was nice and warm, so I let her just eat in her diaper. She usually gets so sticky that we have to wash her clothes anyway. I am so glad that this time she didn't have any clothes on! After dinner while we were cleaning up the living room and the kitchen, Kate decided to paint herself with peanut butter. Holy cow did she make a mess! I was right there doing the dishes. How could I have missed that? We were so busy cleaning that I obviously didn't assign anyone Katie duty. :) We make sure that the peanut is one of the first things we clear off the table now.

It's been several years since we got out our huge slip-n-slide. The kids spent hours on it. You should have seen our lawn afterwards! We kept moving the plasitc around to different parts of the front yard, but it was still a big mud pit after we were done.

Kate didn't like it. Ky was nice to try and help her, but in the end, she was just too freaked out to do it. Maybe next year.

Ky and Braedon are always trying to ham things up for the camera. Mabye one of these days I will take the time to post a video on here. The plastic sheeting that we used is about 20 yards long, and the kids could use an extra 5-10! Ky usually ends up at the end on the grass/mud. He can really go down that thing.

I was trying to update my blog at least once a month. I think my new goal will be twice a year! :) I don't know how anyone can keep on top of this or Facebook!

We went to a family reunion in July. I had the BEST time! I hadn't seen some of my siblings in entirely way too long. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

I had to take several pictures to make this one. It still needs a little work, but I am tired of working on it! ;)

This is something we do everytime we are all together. I really don't know why we chose this pose in the first place, but we do it anyway! Devin was only around ten I think when we first did it. Now he is taller than all of us and has to get on his knees. :)

We traveled around the Idaho area a bit. We went to see Mesa Falls and then went to Yellowstone a different day. I have only gone through a few of the Yellowstone pictures. Here is a picture of some canyon there. I know everyone is just so excited to see these pictures. :)

We saw several Bison by the side of the road but not much else. :(

We don't have many of these...pictures of Nathan and I together. I am usually behind the camera. Thank you Debbie for taking this. It was during one of those days where I was sick of putting on makeup every morning. We should have had one taken earlier in the week. ;)

Shay talking to her grandma. We usually can't get pictures of her these days, so I thought I would post one of her since there is one. She doesn't like getting her picture taken.
I have edited several hundred pictures for my family from the trip, but I rarely edit those of my own family. So this is all I have for now.

I took a fun little picture of Cammie and Kate the other day. I am not crazy about the lighting...actually I don't really like that Cammie's face is blown out and other spots are too dark. Maybe I will be able to fix that, but I like that Kate actually looks like she enjoys being around her sister! I had my camera set for taking pictures of only one person. Kate kind of jumped in there when I was taking pictures of Cammie and grabbed her face like that. I shot away, but Cammie is out-of-focus a bit. I had my focus on Kate's lead eye...not the best idea I guess, but it was so spontaneous (sp) that I wasn't really prepared for it. :( I still like the picture though.

Spring Break

I am finally writing about our Spring Break.

A friend of mine and our kids went over to Long Beach for a few days during the break. We had a good time. If Katie wasn't at such a difficult age, I would have enjoyed the trip more. Oh, well. She won't be this young forever. :)

The kids enjoyed chasing the birds on the beach. Ky was the only one crazy enough to get wet. It was cold! We did find a huge log that had washed up onto the beach. It had some pretty cool "living things" on it. Braedon had fun playing catch for a little bit. We brought our football with us.

We took the kids to the pool at the place we were staying at. Kate didn't like it at all, but she did enjoy playing in the water while we were at an old WWII fort though. She parked it in front of a puddle and SCREAMED if I took her away from it. She would immediately go right back. I finally gave up and took some pictures of her. Oh, the battles!

My boys LOVED the WWII forts the most. They had a great time playing games in there. We went to two of them. I enjoyed taking pictures. :) I just wish I had a reflector so their eyes didn't look so "dead".

We also stopped by Cape Disappointment on the way home. What a funny name. We were seriously disappointed when we found out we couldn't go to the top of the lighthouse like you can with some of the others in the area. :(

Twelve Waffles....

The other day Cammie and I were about 40 minutes away from home. Cammie was complaining about how long it would take to get home. "Mom! We are so far from home! We are twelve waffles!" I was really confused by the waffles part, so I asked her what she thought waffles were. She said in a very "duh" kind of voice, "Food!" I have had kids get confused and say things like, "I am 12 pounds tall" or "It's going to take me 2,000 years to get there," but I have never had any of my kids use food to measure things. Anyway, the next day when our entire family was in the car, I was sharing with everyone what Cammie had said. Then Brae said, "Mom! It's from the movie Bolt!" So there you go! If you have no clue what you kid is saying or why, ask them if they saw it on TV!
