At 5:00 am on Saturday, July 16th my cell phone rang. I fell out of bed, threw my phone to James, and ran to get dressed. Amanda was in labor and had been admitted to LDS Hospital and we had to get there asap! She had asked me to be in the room when our little man was born and I was so grateful for the opportunity. We arrived at the hospital at 6:00 am and Lucas was born 39 minutes later. He was 5 lbs 11 oz and 19" long. Just a little guy with lots of dark hair!

We feel so lucky to be this little man's parents and are loving every minute of it. We've discovered that he has a dimple on his left cheek and he loves it when we sing to him. He is growing and changing every day and we can't wait to continue on this adventure!!

We bought a swing for our little guy this week and as you can see - he loves it! 
Lucas got to meet his 95 year old Great-Grandpa a few days ago! 
Yesterday we took little man to his first pool party! We decked him out in little flip flops that lasted on his tiny feet about 30 seconds!! (look closely and you'll notice that just as we took this picture, Lucas spit up! Hilarious!) 
Even though Lucas is still too small to get into the pool, he still loved snuggling with his best buddy - Grandpa! (don't mind the farmer's tan on my dad - ha ha!)
