Let the holidays begin....

For many years, we have a tradition of going to the lights on Temple Square on the day after Thanksgiving.  This year was a bit different for us, but the lights were just as beautiful as they always are.  We went to Crown Burger this year, a place we haven't been before seeing the lights.  We rode the Trax to Temple Square, but only from Gateway to Temple Square.  Easton wanted to make sure we rode it, like we always do.
This was Wyatt's first experience with the Temple Square lights.  Shea bundled him up well and off we went.  He loved looking at everything, especially the colored lights and all the busyness going on.  He was a trooper and did great on our exciting adventure.
Easton was excited to push Wyatt in his stroller, but Shea didn't get too far away.  It was the beginning of  a fun adventure.
My boys as we were waiting for the Trax.  They are always such good sports when it comes to Mom's Outings.  A handsome group, don't you think?
Our adventure went south from here.  Easton had an emergency call to the bathroom, where we spent quite a bit of time.  This year I got tickets to "Savior of the World", which I thought would be a nice change to our tradition.  E threw up in the garbage can at the restroom, but felt like he could make it through the play.  Welllllllll, we made it about half way through.  this is a picture as we were heading home, after our second outing in the bathroom with the garbage can.  I took E home and the others were to come home after the play was over.  When I got about half way home, I got a call that Jensen was having the same outing with the bathroom and the garbage can.  Needless to say, everyone was heading home before the play was over.
This was definitely a different experience than we have had in the past, but the lights were just as beautiful and we were able to spend time together as a family.  So grateful for my family and for their willingness to be together and share in our traditions.  I can't believe that it is this wonderful time of year again and that we get to honor our Savior's birth.  I am glad I took what few pictures I did, but sad to not have our traditional family photo.

Thanksgiving Day 2012

Thanksgiving isn't my most favorite holiday, but I do enjoy all of our family time.  So grateful for such an amazing family and for all the good times that we share together.  Thanks to Cari and Troy for hosting this years "feast festivities" and for allowing us to invade their home.  We missed John and Cathy this year, but want them to know that they are loved.  The food was great, the company even better!
