Merry Christmas

A few of our favorite moments from our first Christmas with Brady...

Daddy and Brady before the fun began.

Eating wrapping paper is far more appealing than unwrapping gifts.

Trying to get to the goodies that Santa stashed in his stocking.

Feats of Strength

Daddy already has me working out.
I can lift my car seat 6 inches off the floor while sucking on my binky.

Happy 6 Month Birthday, Brady!

Has it really been 6 months since our little bundle of joy arrived?

Brady has gone through big changes in the past month.
He is rolling all over the living room.
Occasionally, he runs into an obstacle and gets a little annoyed.

He can now do this...

He started eating solids and using a sippy cup.
He seems to enjoy whatever he is given.

There has been a lot of father and son bonding.

And finally, Brady went for his last swing because we caught him doing this...

So proud of his accomplishment.

Lookin' Good

Here we have Brady sporting the latest in baby wig fashion...
The George Washington.

He wasn't too sure about the look initially, but he came around in the end.

Buckets of Fun

We left the room for a minute and when we returned...
Ta da!  Brady had his head inside his toy bucket.
(Click on the pic to get a closer look at his eyes.  So pretty.)

After rolling around on the blanket for a few minutes...

his bottom half ended up in the bucket.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

This is Brady's first meal- rice cereal.
I would say first food, but Daddy snuck him a Cheerio last week.

He's probably thinking...
Really, Mom?  My very first meal EVER and this is the best you can do?

The bib reads Gotta love these cheeks!  We totally do.

#56

We finally broke down and bought Brady an ExerSaucer.  We hoped it would entertain him for a few minutes so we could get things done around the house.  According to the box, it has 55 fun filled activities.

He looks like he's having a blast.

Lets take a closer look at what has captured his attention.

It's the tag!  With 55 fun filled activities at his fingertips, he zeros in on #56, the tag.

He's just like the kids who prefer the box that their toy comes in to the toy itself.  I'm going to go around the house and cut the tags off things we already have and sew them to a blanket.  It'll make a great Christmas gift.

Thankful

In planning for Thanksgiving this year, I couldn't help but think about last Thanksgiving.  About 2 weeks before, we got our first glimpse of our son to be.
This ultrasound was done on November 11th when I was just 7 1/2 weeks pregnant.  It was during this ultrasound that I heard the sweetest sound- our baby's ridiculously fast heartbeat- for the very first time.  I have so much to be thankful for, but I'm most thankful for our wonderful, happy, healthy baby boy.

Happy First Thanksgiving Brady!

Happy 5 Month Birthday, Brady!

Time is going by so fast.  Brady is already 5 months old.

Taking this picture is a little more complicated now since he is rarely still.
We had to set up the blocks multiple times during our photo shoot.
It's a fun game.

This is the face that greets us every morning...
So happy to see us.  The feeling is mutual.
How can you not be happy looking at this?

He now grabs everything; from the glasses I wear, to the glasses we drink from.
His newest trick is to grab the toy bar over his bouncy seat.
He isn't satisfied with the cute little toys, he goes for the bar itself.

When he isn't kicking his socks off, he pulls them off.
We probably put them on 20 times a day.

His eyes are still blue and his hair is slowly coming in on top.  See...
He now weighs just over 15 lbs and is outgrowing his 3-6m shirts and 0-3m pants.
He loves music, especially when Daddy sings,
and the bedtime books that Mommy reads.
He laughs more frequently, smiles often and talks a lot- adorable.
He has even learned to tolerate his car seat most of the time- yay.

Like Father, Like Son

Daddy and I like to check out bicycles on the computer.

Dude!  Check out those components.  That is one sweet ride.

Dad, move me in for a closer look.

Busted!  Mom caught us.

Totally unrelated...
Since I can't reach the freezer on my own, Daddy gives me a boost.
We need popsicles.

Admiring each other.

I Think I'll Call Him Scooter

This afternoon I put Brady under his little gym for playtime while I did a few things.

This is where he started...

This is where he ended up...
Is he pleased with himself, or what?
This was accomplished by scooting with his feet and rocking side to side.
Oh, and he kicked a sock off in the process.
Go Scooter!

Happy 4 Month Birthday, Brady!

Today, I turned 4 months old.

I've been pretty busy over the past month.  Take a look...

Daddy and I have been practicing my balancing act.

When I'm not talking, which is rare, I enjoy chewing on my fingers.
Mommy and Daddy love it when I slime them with my slobber soaked hands.

I recently discovered these...
They are fun to hold on to, making diaper changes just a little more interesting.

I love working out at the gym.
I'm so strong I can yank the toys right off the rings above me.

Although you can't tell from this picture, I learned how to hold my bottle.
Mommy and Daddy hold it for me, but I like to help out a little.
They don't move fast enough for me.

I'm so excited to tell everyone that I haven't had eye boogies for days.
I think I've outgrown my blocked tear duct...YIPPEE!
By the way, I still have beautiful blue eyes just like Daddy.
And, if you look real close you can see that I'm sprouting some hair.
I think I'm going to have dark hair like Mommy.

The only thing that hasn't really changed over the past month is my sleep schedule.
I'm great at night, and a stinker when it comes to napping during the day.
If they want me to sleep for more than 30 minutes they have to hold me.  Ha Ha!

I almost forgot!  Just days after turning 3 months old I started rolling over.
First, from tummy to back.  2 weeks later, from back to tummy.
I refuse to let the parents get video of this no matter how many times they try;)
