Happy 18 Month Birthday, Brady!

I've haven't been very good about posting regularly.  Which is why I'm just now getting around to posting about Brady being 18 months old when he turned 19 months old over a week ago.  Bad mommy:(  Better late than never, right?

Our sweet baby boy is turning into a little boy too fast.

He is still sweet though.
He is generous with his cuddles, but not his kisses.

He is a charmer, a flirt and an entertainer.
He keeps us laughing.

If it has wheels, he loves it.
An example of his work...
He also loves playing outside, stacking blocks and Lego's,
books and music.  Itsy Bitsy Spider is his favorite song.

We have had a few exciting firsts in the past couple of months.
Grandma Nancy took him on his first carousel ride.
He rode the Christmas train at the mall all by himself.
Blurry picture ahead...sorry:(
He also got his first hair cut.
Daddy brought out the clippers and turned this bed head...
into this.
You may have also noticed all the teeth.
We are up to almost 12.

While Brady babbles nonstop, especially when he is on one of his "phones", we don't hear actual words very often.  His vocabulary consists of about 20 or so words at this point.  He is down to one nap a day, usually from 1-4 and sleeps from about 8:30-7 every night.  We hear a peep or 2 during the night, but usually nothing that requires intervention.  He is a picky eater.  His favorite foods are pasta and potatoes.  He insists on drinking only water (he doesn't like juice) from his cup, so we are still giving him a bottle to make sure he gets his milk.  His all time favorite treat is sucking on ice.  I've never seen a crack addict looking for a fix (nor do I want to), but I imagine it looks a lot like Brady asking for ice.  He weighs 24 lbs and is 33 inches tall.

Brady is generally a very happy little guy.  He doesn't get into too much trouble.  Our biggest problem is that he climbs up to the counter in the dining room where my laptop and the cell phones are kept.  He can push a chair over to the counter, and climb up in about .3 seconds.  He attempts this about 862 times a day despite the fact that we tell him no about 2357 times a day.  If he manages to grab a phone before we catch him all heck breaks loose when we take it away.  I'm not gonna lie...it aint pretty.  Thankfully, he is easily distracted and peace is quickly restored.  And finally, the boy has one speed- turbo.  He runs everywhere.  He definitely keeps us on our toes.  We are so grateful for the joy he has brought into our lives.

Valet

A little more practice and this kid will make a great valet parking attendant.
