Addison Seoul turns one!

You're little hands wrapped around my finger
And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything is funny, you got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have honey
If you could stay like that

Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
It could stay this simple

I won't let nobody hurt you
Won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up
Just try to never grow up

Addison Seoul, one year ago you joined our family and I have loved you from the moment we met. You are such a snuggly little mama's girl and have a personality all your own. You can say mama, dada, love you and even play peek-a-boo. Your first steps came only a week ago but you're getting the hang of it quickly. You'll always be my little girl and I love you more every day!

Everyday life

To all those who have given up on me updating the blog, I'm taking the easy way out and blaming Paul :) he has the computer all day at work and doesn't get home until way too late, every single day and all we want to do is snuggle daddy, spend what little time we have together and hit the sack. So here are just some pictures of our crazy gypsy life in Florida. You'll have to excuse the horrid picture quality; remember how we were supposed to live in FL for 2 months and then go back to Utah where every earthly possession I own is in storage?! Well that includes the camera, so these are just iphone pics.

Why yes, these are pictures from Easter 3 MONTHS AGO! dont judge

She is THE cutest thing in the world and I want to squish her and love on her all the day long!
Too funny not to document. totally fell asleep eating lunch
 Can you say cheese ball?!
blowing a smooch. This was on a car ride when we spent the weekend in Panama City Beach

JAX Zoo

On Saturday we hit up the Jacksonville Zoo and after going through the pictures I realized that the 2nd child doesn't get quite as much camera love as they should.  haha But our first kid sure is cute!

Kids say the darndest things

Funny story that I'm sure many moms have had to deal with in one form or another:
The other day I put Cohen down for his nap with just a shirt and a diaper on, when 15 minutes later I hear noises coming from his room I go in to find him wiping poop on the carpet and bed! Totally disgusting, yes? I clean him up, put him back in bed. That would have been the end...but that night were reading him Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, we get to the last page and there is poop smeared ALL over it and Cohen says "color Mickey night light". I think Alexander had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad, POOPY day! That book went in the garbage.

Addison was being fussy and crying and in trying to soothe her I said, "You're breaking my heart, baby girl" And Cohen says to me, "We fix it mommy, its ok"
I heart that boy SOOO much!

Another day we were both having a rough time and I was kneeling in front of him wiping away tears and he takes a tissue and starts wiping my tears away. Warmed my heart.

We play all day

I mean come on, with that cheesy two toothed grin! So dang cute

Addison has been sitting up for a few weeks now and is starting to get up on her hands and knees and rock. She'll be crawling so soon! For now I just call her Rolie Polie Olie because she can roll all the way across the room to get wherever she wants to go.

Were taking advantage of all the great things Florida has to offer, the beach being number one! The gators; not so much. Seriously, who worries their child will be eaten when they go on a walk around their neighborhood?! Yep, this girl. I told Cohen if he sees a gator to "run run run!" So I asked him yesterday what he should do if he sees an alligator and he replies "go snuggle him". Wrong answer dude.

Cohen developed a MAJOR phobia of the ocean. Every time I tell him were going to the beach he will immediately reply, "Not go in the water". He has a nervous breakdown if even I get close to the water. It might have something to do with him being knocked down and (slightly) pummeled by waves a few weeks back. Maybe ;)

Growing up

The kids are getting older everyday and have been really fun to watch learn and grow.

Addison is sitting up and starting to push up onto her knees. She's going to be crawling before we know it! She recognizes strangers now and doesn't like when other people hold her. Hard for our babysitter, but I kind of love that she only wants her mama :)

Beautiful baby girl. 6 1/2 months old now
Cohen is as big as a 4 year old and can speak just as well. He never stops talking and is so smart! He can count to 20, knows his ABC's and I catch him singing songs to himself now. He LOVES nursery and comes out sweaty from playing and ready for his nap! Love it!
We go to the beach almost every day and we've loved being so close to the ocean. Cohen is learning not to throw sand...yet to be mastered, but were working on it :) He slides down the dunes on his bum and comes home with sand in his shoes, pockets, hair and even diaper.

Sea Cows and Water Doggies

This was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Crystal River, FL has a river where every year hundreds of manatees migrate to the warm spring waters. We took a boat up the river and were able to get in and swim around with dozens of manatees just swimming around. It was kind of freaky at first to have a huge animal swimming right next to you but they are so sweet and gentle. They're curious and just come right up to sniff you and let you pet them. Cohen was loving them and kept saying he was swimming with "water doggies" The pictures look like they're from 1985 because they were taken with a waterproof disposable camera, but awesome pictures nonetheless.

Traveling

We have taken full advantage of living out here in Florida. We are really close to a lot of fun places to visit, so a few weeks ago we went up to Savannah GA and Tybee Island for the weekend. It was established in the early 1700's and has so much history and gorgeous buildings and streets. Unfortunately I only had my iPhone and was wrestling Cohen during our tour so most of the pictures are not great quality but here are a few.

The cute trolly that took us all around downtown for our tour.

This is a real pirate house right on the water.

Like I said, not great quality, but here is one of the squares around the historic district with huge oak trees hanging with Spanish moss.

Tybee Island light house. Ever see the Last Song with Miley Cyrus? Me either,  haha, but it was filmed on Tybee Island

Walking up the 178 steps of the light house. I had Addison strapped to my in my front pack and my legs were sore for a WEEK! and totally shaking by the time we got down. Slightly embarrassing, but true.

The next weekend we went to Crystal River, which is one of only 2 places in the US you can swim with manatees. It was THE COOLEST thing ever! We had an underwater camera so I'll have pics soon. We took a boat up the river to a natural spring that warms the water in the winter, so literally hundreds of manatees come here every year and you can just snorkel around, pet them and swim with them. Cohen loved it and called them "water doggies". Not sure why, but very cute :)
This is exactly what we got to do.

They are super sweet and really curious. They would swim right up to you and let you pet them.

In other news...
This cutie pie is 5 months old! and got her first tooth. She is such a ray of sunshine and sleeps so well and only cries when she's hungry. She thinks Cohen is hillarious and he can always get her to laugh and smile.

My crazy lil man turned 2!! He is talking SOO much these days. Its amazing how in literally a few weeks he can go from just a few words to full sentences. He'll come in and say "mommy, ready for lunch" or "come watch a show, mama". Because kids are little parrots I now know the things that I say all the time because Cohen will say them now too. "Addie, whats wrong? Its ok honey"

Paul celebrated his 28th birthday! We went to a great dinner with some friends to Maggiano's, a super tasty Italian restaurant in town.
