Pallin Family

Greetings Family!! Today is a special day in our little family! It's Nate's Birthday and he is the big 2-8. He had to work today but we are planning on going to Macaroni Grill and enjoying a large cake to share between the 2 of us. Things are going well for us here is AZ. It is hotter then anything I have ever experienced. The monsoons are unreal too. Last night we were at Walmart and had to wait to go to our car because the rain was coming down so hard sideways and it was blowing trees over. Yikes. It's actually really fun to watch. Lighting flashes literally every second... it makes it kinda hard to fall asleep but it's a good bedtime story. Anyway, Nate's been working everyday and LOVES it. He got to scrub in on a surgery this past monday and was in heaven! He is learning so much and he is so glad that he picked this rotation. Here's the Dr. (to be) in action...

As for me... well... I've been doing a whole lot of nothing. We are down to one car and Nate takes that everyday so I am stuck here. I've been doing a lot of reading and going to the pool. Our place is perfect (besides the fact that everyone is 80 years old). It came with everything so we have been very lucky. The next test is finding a place to live in Salt Lake for 3 1/2 months. Won't that be fun. Here is our place:

The only bad thing about it is that there is no bus line within 10 miles of here.... which means that there is no civilization within 10 miles of here... so that tends to make me kinda bored.... I try to stay positive by looking at how great my tan is getting :)
This past weekend Nate and I made the trip up to Greer AZ to visit Grandma & Grandpa Burk at their cabin. It was really great seeing them! I forgot how beautiful it is there. Nate was amazed and now wants to move there.... I don't think so. It's a great place to visit though. Here's some pics of our weekend. Click on the pictures to make them bigger.
