My Sister is Engaged!

Down on one knee!

I got the first e-mail today addressed "Bridesmaids" from my sister Ali...wow! She has been engaged for a week, but it really sank in when I opened my inbox and saw that first e-mail to all of her bridesmaids.

Michael proposed on Saturday evening at my parent's house. It was so sweet! I hid behind my mom's flowers to take pictures during the proposal!

They will be moving away for her fiance's job right after they get married...the first time we have ever not lived within 45 minutes of eachother! I guess I never really thought about that part of growing up. I am so excited for them though and wish them the happiest marriage...only a few months until the big day on July 5!

After she said yes! Such a sweet couple!

Our Future House

We were so blessed this fall to be offered a deal we couldn't refuse to buy a house in Phil's hometown. The first time Phil brought me home to meet his family, his mom took me on a tour of the town (which didn't take very long...it is very much in the country). She took me up to this house back in the woods because she thought I would love it and I immediately did. I told Phil right then that I would move there if I could live in that house. Little did I know that a few years later, it would be ours.

The owners were best friends with Phil's grandparents and knew how much we loved the house so when they decided to move closer to their kids, they approached us. It's amazing how different things are in a small town and how people will go out of their way to make good things possible. I have never lived in a small town, but I already know I will love raising my family there. We are so excited!

Joining the bloggers!

I have been hesitant to start a blog because Phil and I don't have much going on in our lives at the moment...no kids or even dogs! Not to say that our life is boring...we are completely happy and love the stage of life we are in. We love our church and Sunday School class and have made new friends in Auburn now that our college friends have moved away.

Phil has a little over a year left of pharmacy school...yeah! He will begin his year of rotations in May and will graduate May of 2009. I am working for AU and have since I graduated 2 years ago. After he graduates we will move back to his hometown to eventually take over his dad's pharmacy. Life is good and we truly feel blessed to serve our God who is so faithful.

I doubt I will be very good at posting, but I am determined to try thanks to Brooke and Shealy! I figure we can't stay on the facebook forever so we need to start blogging!
