I am someone who has been molded and shaped through the many paths and places I have walked...I have seen little and much...I believe but struggle to have faith...I desire to know God but still at times run from him...I desire life but at times lack the bravery to chase after it...I am me but all that that entails is still a mystery.

Grandparents
Mom and Dad were up for the weekend and I can't tell you how much joy I get from watching them be grandparents. Mom gets teary eyed a lot and loves to help change his diaper and feed him a bottle. She is great a knowing how to calm him down and even get him to smile. Dad is getting used to holding him and has already started to give him nicknames and sing to him songs like John Jacob Jinglehimer Schmidt. I found a grandpa shirt for him and he proudly wore it all day Saturday. It was a precious time together. These are the things I cherish.
It's hard to remember
The last time I had a full nights sleep
What it feels like not be "milking"
When I ate a meal without interuption
Had an organized house
Did have a house full of baby stuff
What it was like to not have this beautiful person in my life
When I have felt so much love and desire to care for something
I love to just sit and look at his beautiful little face and kiss the top of his head and tell him how much I love him...even when he gets me up in the middle of the night and doesn't want to go back to sleep for hours.

Monday
Today I have spent an entire morning feeding...yep...about 5 hours!
Last night we had a baby shower from the church...it was such a joy for them to see him...they have prayed for us and him for so long...he ended up with a lot of cute stuff that he may not remember but I will.
He already outgrew his outfit we brought him home from the hospital in. It fits him around but it had footies and his legs are too long...he has the long skinny warner legs and feet.
Here are some pics to show how much he's grown already...I took Heidi's idea and used a bear...the first was taken Tuesday when we got home from the hospital and the second was taken yesterday.

He's Here!
John Emerson Radford arrived at 2:55pm on Sat. Sept. 8th.
He was 6 lbs. 1 oz. and 19 in. long.
Mom went through about 36 hrs. to help him arrive but is so glad he is here!!
We are finally home and adjusting to new life!!

False Alarm
Last night I did the walk of shame...I was having contractions and went to the hospital only to be sent home...I know it happens to a lot of first timers but I hate to come across as the girl who cried wolf...I'm still having contractions but they are pretty far apart so the waiting game has begun.
