I am someone who has been molded and shaped through the many paths and places I have walked...I have seen little and much...I believe but struggle to have faith...I desire to know God but still at times run from him...I desire life but at times lack the bravery to chase after it...I am me but all that that entails is still a mystery.

Halloween Costumes
I had picked up a costume for Jack last year after Halloween and then my mom gave me one so I had to get pics with him in both of them. The Tigger costume fits best and it is so funny because he loves tigger and is a lot like him too!

Busy in the Kitchen
I have been planning out a few homemade treats to use as christmas gifts. Plus, I have needed to get the applesauce done since I had a bushel of apples sitting in bags waiting for me. So, I deemed Wednesday Kitchen Day and got to work.

And all the while this is my little man keeping busy...
Here is the start of my hard candy
And the end product...I like the powdered sugar because it adds a little something.
Then on the the applesauce

I love freecycle!
So thanks to some of my blog friends I had signed up for freecycle in our area. I haven't been able to get a lot from it because so many things are far away. But, I still enjoyed a few things I was able to get.
Well, I had a few boxes of books that didn't sell at my garage sale this summer and then I received a huge pile of Christmas stuff from an older lady who was moving. I was able to choose a few things I could use but had a ton more left. My husband was getting ready to just chuck it all but I realized...Hey, I'll post and see if I get any bites! Well, within 2 days the overwhelming load of stuff from our garage is gone to people who are thrilled to use it!!! Kevin is even excited about Freecycle now but he says for everything I get from them I need to get rid of something.
The other interesting thing is that the two people who came I ended up knowing them or one of their family members and it was a great opportunity to connect. I ended up in a discussion with both of them about geting the mom's group going again...that was God's subtle hint to get going on it.

My eyes are having a hard time staying open but my heart is full
I wish that I could hold on to moments...the frame them on my wall and allow myself to relive them again...moments like drinking in the wondorous colors around us, watching my son taking steps, enjoying my family enjoying him. And though my body is so weary and my laundry is piled high again...weekends with family are all worth it.

What melts my heart
There are snapshots in my mind that no camera can capture. Those little cherished moments that I hold dear to my heart.
When I watch my husband walk hand in hand with my son...
When they play hide and seek and chase on the floor and Jack is laughing so hard...
When he is in his crib asleep, all curled up and so peaceful...
The joy I see on my dad's face when he is talking with Jack...
The look my mom gets when she holds him tight...
The smile he gives to me after saying ma ma...
These make the long nights, dirty diapers, teething, messy eating, and laundry all worth it....
