Love my boys!

Here is Lincoln Chillaxin in his favorite chair. He thought it would be better to drink the cup of marshmallows rather than pick them out one by one. That's my boy!

I have always felt that the best part of baking is the beaters. Lincoln and myself really enjoyed licking these whipped cream covered beaters clean. He knows something good when he sees it!

Here is Benson sporting his winter/I wish I were hunting hat.

We decided to have a real Christmas tree this year. So, the week before Thanksgiving we piled in the car and headed to Parry's U-Cut Farm. Despite the pouring rain, the dogs chasing us, and the bitter cold, we had a great time. I thought we really picked a great tree, believe me it wasn't easy. This farm consisted of thousands of trees all different varieties and shapes and sizes.

Here is my rugged mountain man of a husband using his Paul Bunyon manly skills to chop down our six-foot whopper of a tree. Good job honey! You look great!

Benson really took a liking to the tree and has attempted to pull it over on several occasions. I have also noticed due to our wonderful children, thru the weeks the ornaments have slowly made their way to the upper half of the tree. I am just trying to love the moment!

Dang Benson! You are so stylish!

This is a trick Benson learned from his Aunts...go straight for the wallet. Can't you see him eyeing that twenty? They learn so young these days!

Dave and I were blessed with the happiest little boys! I don't think we could love them any more than we do. How could you not love this face?

I couldn't have said it better myself!

A visit to the Portland Zoo!

While we had some nice weather we decided to hit up the Portland Zoo. We had a blast! It is always amazing to see these beautiful animals up close. We even had a bald eagle fly three feet above our heads during a bird show. It was awesome!
What a magnificent bird!

A baby elephant showing off his sweet moves!

He looks like the King of the jungle to me!

Lincoln and Dave viewing an exhibit, they were really into it!

I think Lincoln's favorite exhibit was the sea lions. He could not get enough of this sea lion that kept swimming right by him. I think the look on his face says it all. We love you Lincoln!

Sauvie Island (Beware...tons of pictures!)

Sauvie Island is an "Island" surrounded by Oregon rivers. It is filled with u-pick farms, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, amazing biking trails, and miles and miles of beaches. We had a great time enjoying all this fun place had to offer.

Don't worry we didn't go here...

We opted for a little less showy of a beach!

When we first moved to Oregon I was amazed to see that these blackberries grow like weeds, literally, they are considered weeds in Oregon. They have wild blackberry bushes that line the freeways. It is pretty awesome!
Lincoln had an amazing time playing on the beach!

So pretty!

Dave and Lincoln venturing out into the cold, cold water!

Benson also loved the trip to the beach. Doesn't he look satisfied?

Young Love! Well...pretty young!

Uncle Ryan and Parki Life

We were so lucky to have Dave's brother Ryan come and pay us a visit. We had not seen Ryan since he returned from his mission 6 months ago...so this was long overdue. We visited Seaside beach to show Ryan the frigid waters of the Oregon coast and to see where Dave lived for a short time.

Lincoln had a fabulous time swinging on the beach. Dave and Ryan tried to have a contest to see who could jump further out of a swing. I am not sure who won, but Dave did have an amazing tumble. I am glad you are ok honey!

Below is Ryan at a boat dock in Astoria. He was venturing out to the end of the dock where snarling sea lions were sun bathing.

Here are Lincoln and Ryan in front of the Astoria Column

What handsome brothers! Little view from atop the Astoria column.

Just the cutest little Lincoln around! In case you didn't know, he is a pretty big deal in this town!

We are really high!

Playing in the sand at Seaside beach!

Benson doing what he does best! Isn't he the cutest little sleeper?
