Little bit of baby love!

How you doin?

Mom told me if I smiled for the camera I could have some gum, soda, licorice, stay up way past my bedtime, and basically have anything I wanted. It was totally worth it! Plus I had to show off my dashing good looks!

This is a common scene at our house, chewing on stuff and hanging out with no pants on. Life is good!
This is a head shot for Benson's Gerber Baby portfolio. Isn't he darling!

Benson LOVES Lincoln! He seriously canNOT leave him alone. It seems like Benson is an adoring fan thinking if I could just touch him I will be happy!

This Benson showing off his Musical Skizzizles! He has a voice that makes the birds sing!

Baked Southwest Sandwiches

This is one of mine and Dave's favorite sandwiches. They are easy to make and mighty tasty!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (4-1/4 ounces) chopped ripe olives, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup chopped green onions
  • 8 slices Italian bread or any bread you like
  • 3/4 to 1 pound thinly sliced cooked turkey
  • 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 ripe avocados, sliced
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions

  • In a bowl, combine olives, chili powder, cumin and salt; set aside 2 tablespoons. Add the mayonnaise, sour cream and onion to the remaining olive mixture.
  • Place bread on an ungreased baking sheet; spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise mixture on each slice. Top with turkey and tomatoes. Spread with another tablespoon of mayonnaise mixture; top with avocados and cheeses. Sprinkle with reserved olive mixture. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until heated through. Yield: 8 servings. Enjoy!

Grandma came to visit!

My mom so graciously came to visit us relatives in the great North . I knew she was sad to leave the snow in Utah, so I made sure it snowed four inches the day after she arrived. No thanks necessary mom! It was so great to have her here. The boys LOVED having her here! We miss you!
A very exciting thing happened in Forest Grove a few months back...wait for it...a new McDonalds was built! It may not sound exciting to anyone else but it is the only place around where there is an indoor place to play where we can escape the constant drizzle that is Oregon winter! It is also the only place around where I can get a large diet Dr. Pepper for $1.00! Don't judge!
Benson and Lincoln had a great time playing with Grandma. Lincoln was here but was being a little uncooperative, hence that lack of pictures. Benson is at such a fun age. I think he will walk before he crawls. He loves his big brother Lincoln and laughs hysterically every time he gives him the time of day. His new favorite thing to do is clap! Such a sweetie!

This is Lincoln and Benson's new cousin Sage Elle. Eric and Heather, you done good! She is pretty much the cutest thing! She is going to be heartbreaker! Love you Baby Sagey!
