Sadie Hawkins - November 2012

Sadie Hawkins was in November.  Sadies is always girls' choice so Alex got an invitation from one of the girls at high school.  Aldo got an invitation too but had to decline because he was going to Las Vegas that weekend to a Great Pumpkin Tennis Tournament.

This invitation aka huge chocolate heart showed up on our front door

"It would melt my heart if you went to sadies with me!!"

Rather than melting the chocolate, which Alex should have done, he started breaking the hunk of chocolate apart and found Emma's name in it.

The Sadie's theme was sports

Zija Convention in Salt Lake City - October 2012

Zija convention was held October 19-20, 2012 in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City.
There were about 2,300 people in the attendance during the weekend and it was a fabulous party.

I think Rod can do it all.  He is the drummer with the band and playing "Fly like an eagle".  Only a few people knew that he was the drummer and everyone cheered when they realized that Rod was drumming with the band.  It was great fun.

Fall Break in California

The fall break from school was around my birthday in October. I took Alex, Aldo and Carsen with me and drove through Las Vegas to Newport Beach, California. Rod couldn't join us until later in the weekend when he flew to Newport from Salt Lake.

In just a few weeks from now we will celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary.

After the beach, we dropped off Rod at the Newport airport so he can fly home while the rest of us drove to Las Vegas for the night. We stayed at the Bellagio.
