Speak Lord!

I just came back after a meeting with some of the youth workers from Klang Valley. We met over lunch to discuss on how to minister to our outstation students who are studying in Campuses. It was an interesting meeting. Before the meeting, i had quite a lot of ideas on what we could do for these friends of ours who are away from their home (studying in KL). But in the course of talking, and listen to my friends, new 'revelations' came into my mind. I realised that we may have many thoughts in our mind, but if we are willing to listen there is always something new to learn!

As i thought about this, my conclusion is that God wants to speak to us and will speak to us at various occassions if we are willing to listen. The challenge is whether we are open to hear God or not? Our set ideas and experiences could become a barrier for God to speak. But if we ask God to speak, He will. It is just a matter of being tuned to God. In the last 24 hours what did God say to you? Don't you think that listening to God is far more important then anything else? It is not necessary to go away from the world (all the time) to hear God. If we have ears, we will hear Him when He speaks.

God of Surprises

God is simply amazing, beyond our comprehension. Often times He surprises us & simply delights in our pleasure of knowing Him. I was on my way to work and i was thinking whether i should continue this whole exercise of blogging. Frankly speaking, i am really frustrated because my notebook is not back from the workshop. Weekly, i harass the guy...just to keep the pressure on. Today, Rhema prayed and asked God to make a way for the computer to be repaired. I just received news (about 10 minutes later)...that my notebook might be in action tomorrow. But that is not the reason why i am rejoicing. Coming back to the blogging thing; i was so encouraged by what 'static brain' commented in my last article. That comment reminded me of another reason why i shouldn't give up doing this.

You know God is so good! He really understands what we are going through, every moment of the day. So, i'm going to try to pick up this discipline once again. Thanks 'static brain' & for the others as well for being such an encouragement. Sometimes, you are the 'voice' through which God speaks. Praise be to God!
