Organized Chaos

I am keeping it short and sweet! We did all the usual Halloween fun, including pumpkins, parties and trick or treating! Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween as well! I will be back to post about another Birthday and our amazing surprise trip to Disneyland soon!

I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I no longer have a baby in the house! Today Addy turns 2 and is officially a toddler! Yikes! Don't get me wrong there are some benefits of not having another baby. Such as not needing to rush Addy out of her crib, because it will be needed again! I am enjoying the fact that I don't have to chase her around in the morning because she woke up too early! And knowing that she is the last to potty train. She is actually grasping the concept quite well, let's just hope she keeps it up!

We celebrated her birthday yesterday since Tuesday nights at our house now are a little hectic. So her are some pictures of the fun! We kept it nice and small, just Grandparents were invited and it was great!








I made the quilt for her. This is a picture of all of it. Pretty good for my second one ever I think!

I just made these to put up in Emmy's newly pink room.  Thought I would share them with you all!

We finally got around to our pictures this year!  It seems like we always wait until it's snowing before we get a chance to do them, but this year I was actually on the ball!  My SIL Devynn moved back so now we have another (my brother Trevor does them too!) wonderful photographer to take our pictures for us!  Check out her blog here!  If you live in the area check out her work you will not be disappointed!  Trust me!  We ended up having a very uncooperative almost 2 year old to add to the fun of the shoot!  She wouldn't go to anyone but me!  Hence I am holding her in every picture.  And I am not completely thrilled with my wardrobe choice!  (We are having more pictures done in a few weeks to make up for it!)  But I still think they were great!  Thanks again Devynn for putting up with me!

School started today I am doing the happy dance as I write this!  Not because my kids are going to be gone all day long, but because I no longer have to listen to the arguments or tell them multiple times no when they ask for something while we are at the grocery store.  I am happy with their teachers, and hope they feel the same way!  They even have some friends in their classes this year which I am grateful for!  I really hope they enjoy Grades 4 and 2, and that Emmy has fun in her second year of preschool!  It was a little gloomy this morning so we bundled up a little for back to school pictures but here they are!

I guess I should back track and update on Emmy's party before I get to Hadley's.  Her birthday was a couple of months ago!  I know I am terrible that I didn't blog about it then!  But hey here it is now and that is all that matters.  My kids don't get a friends birthday until they turn 6, so until that time we have a family birthday.  We invited everyone that was close by and celebrated her 4th Birthday!  I am still trying to figure out how she is already 4.  I even told her she couldn't have any more birthday's which kind of upset her!  Here are some pics of her day!

Hadley is now 9. Yup I can't believe it either! This year was also a family party but only one set of Grandparents were able to join us for supper! Thanks Grandma and Papa! Hadley chose the restaurant. After eating she opened her presents!

After dinner we hit the fair for a couple of hours, then it was back home for cake! Again another sorry excuse! I guess I will have to redeem myself next year!



She said she had a good time! I really hope she did!

I feel like summer just got here and now we are less than a week from starting the new school year!  We have been keeping pretty busy with the everyday things, but did take some time for a little family get away!  The kids always have a blast when we head south of the border, and for some reason the weather is always just a little bit nicer!  We kept it pretty low key and the camera didn't even come out until the last day!  But it was for a good reason!  At least to Rawley it was!



Hadley had to get in on the action of holding the crawfish as well.


And of course I have to include a picture of Sweet little Emmy!


I am pretty sure we could have left her with Pat's aunt and uncle and they would have been completely fine with it!

All in all a fun, much needed vacation!  Let the school year begin!
