This Weekend

I still don't have photos from past events to put up, but here's what we did this weekend!

We hiked Table Rock--14 miles! It was hard, but very pretty and rewarding! (If you consider sore muscles and blisters a reward)

Promptly after, I was stung twice in the ankle by a wasp. On the couch. This picture is from TWO DAYS LATER! I think I've developed an allergy or elephantiasis (known as elephantitis).

Just kidding. That one probably isn't going away.... Here's my little swollen ankle in the best angle I could get (and Tom's foot).

4 days later and it's just started to go down. I now have a nice bruise-looking thing and some pretty itchy skin. Poor me! It looks like my modeling career is shot. And I had just begun....

My agent won't be happy.

SO

I look at my blog almost every day and think, "I really need to post something. But posts without pictures are pretty boring."
I finally charged my camera so that I can record all future events in our lives; however, there are some events I will be "borrowing" other peoples' pictures of so I can get some decent posts up. For now, just know that Tom's graduation from BYU-Idaho will be front and center!

Much to Say, Much to Do.

Okay, well I guess I haven't had that much to say, but I have been busy.

I got a full-time job in Idaho Falls working as a receptionist. The commute stinks (45 minutes one way) and I'm definitely not a morning person--I have to be to work by 8. However, I LOVE my job! It is so laid-back and so are the people I work with. It is a small office and I really enjoy it.
We took Opie to the vet last week because she was limping. She would get really upset anytime we touched her leg. Tom was afraid he had hurt her when he was making her do back flips or something (no way) so we took her. They anesthetized her and took 2 X-Rays, coming to the conclusion that nothing was wrong. Maybe a pulled muscle or a bruise. Awesome. So we are $139 out, meaning this week Tom and I carpool to Rexburg where I then carpool with a coworker to Idaho Falls who luckily won't make me pay gas money until I get paid. I think we have a total of $20 in our account, which will soon be used for gas.
Which reminds me, we watched Dumb and Dumber this weekend and notice that gas cost $1.09! ugh.

Mother

I am so grateful for mothers. Especially, of course, my own. I love Mother's Day and I don't think it's nearly enough to thank my mom for everything she has done and continues to do for me. Here are some things I love about my mom:
She is so strong, physically and emotionally. She has been through so much emotionally and continues to be a strong woman of God. And how many women could give birth at age 49? Mom is still so young at heart and in body. I hope I can be as active as her!
She is so positive. Sometimes it makes me mad when she tries reasoning about bad driving. I have a bit of a road rage issue, and mom's always there saying "Well, maybe they have an emergency," or "maybe it's a teenager just learning how to drive." It may tick me off and I may brush it off, but in the end, it's a good way to look at things.
She is so supportive. Mom has always been behind my decisions 100%, whether it be the clothes I pick on our torturous shopping sprees, the boys I chose to date, or my choice in career and lifestyle. Mom never objects, but always supports me all the way, always letting me know how proud she is.
My mom is the best for so many reasons!

Who doesn't love a good facemask?

If only we had a cucumber.

I know you're not supposed to put it in the eyebrows but...meh.

We're having a Baby!

...sometime down the road. But we are preparing for that day by seeing what our babies will look like:

I suddenly don't want any girls....

#4 (right?)

My favorite photograph(s) of my best friend(s)

Of course, my very best friend:
...because I just LOVE the look on his face in this one.

And a selection of other best friends:

...because they make me smile (or laugh).
