Christmas Day

Santa came!
Santa always wraps the boys in a favorite cartoon character from that year. Lawson had Sesame Street, which is his absolute favorite. Briley had SpongeBob. I guess Santa didn't know mommy didn't like him watching that... or Santa couldn't find Ben 1o wrapping paper.
Checking out the stockings before waking up Lawson.
Lawson waking up to check out the snow.
I love Lawson's face. He was in shock when he saw his digger!
Getting ready to dig in!
Having a blast!

Our big mess
The first thing Briley wanted to do was his Alien Maker.
Our white Christmas morning :) It was a perfect day!

Christmas Eve

December has been an AWESOME month around here. Nick took tons of vacation time, and we have been spoiled with him home so much. We've had lots of great quality time, and I'm so sad that we have to get back to the regular work week again.

Christmas Eve was great too. I was worried that we'd miss our family, which we did, but we had lots of traditions (some old, some new) to keep us busy.

Last year, the boys each gave each other one present. Briley picks out Lawson's on his own, and Lawson picks out Briley's with some help. This year we decided to do the same, but they get to open it early on Christmas Eve. It's a fun little thing we decided we'd do each year, since the presents may get overlooked on Christmas morning.
Lawson got a glow in the dark Thomas train that moves.
Giving Bri-Bri his thank you hug.

Briley got a "real" set of tools and a tool box. Then we got dressed and headed to church.

We went out to dinner for pizza, another new tradition, and then came home to put out the reindeer food. They were soooo excited.
It was just starting to snow!

It was way past Lawson's bedtime, so Briley gave him his hug goodnight.
Then we started our plate for "Ho Ho".
Every year, Briley insists that "Ho Ho" needs chocolate milk, which he started as his own tradition, and he makes it himself.

Our annual Santa plate picture. Hopefully Lawson will be awake next year to be included in it!
Once the boys were asleep, it really started to snow.

We caught Sebastian sleeping by the cookie plate.... not a thing was touched!
The beginning of our White Christmas!

Our Gingerbread House

We made a gingerbread house before Christmas. All pre-made, nothing fancy. Briley loved making it, Lawson loved eating the frosting.

Home from Memphis

We got home from Memphis on Sunday and spent the rest of the week before Christmas playing with new toys and getting ready for Santa. (I typed these all in order, which means they are backwards on the blog. So you may want to start at the bottom and work your way up. There are a lot of posts!)

Briley built a robot with his Erector set.

Lawson played with Bigfoot.

Lawson and Sebastian. Sebastian has been cracking me up lately about the spots he's been getting in. (Notice Lawson's pillow... I will have to do a post on how much he loves it soon.)

The boys tested out Briley's new art supplies.

Briley drew a great picture. I had to take a picture of this. This is what all of his pictures have been looking like lately. I love how detailed they all are. (We were drawing together, so the house, clouds, and purple creature are all mine.)
We Skyped with Papaw and Mamaw.

Briley hatched his Sea Monkeys from GG.
I will post pictures from Santa soon!

Christmas at Mimi's House

We went home to Mimi's house on Saturday night, and woke up Sunday morning for presents and breakfast.

Lawson's lawnmower was another big hit
Along with Ben 10, again.

The boys were worn out after such a long, exciting weekend, which made for a very easy drive home. Although we missed our family tons on Christmas day, it was a great weekend. I am such a lucky girl to have such amazing in-laws. I love them all tons :)
