March Mayhem

What a busy busy month! A few weeks ago I posted about how boring our life was... since then it's been nuts! The play is going really really well. We have had 11 performances and Friday and Saturday will be our very last. It will be bitter sweet. I will really miss all of the neat people I have being "playing" with but I'm tired of being in two shows at once. Cinderella rehearsals started at the beginning of this month too... so I've been gone a lot. Luke will be happy to have his wife back a little more often!

Especially on the 2 Saturdays when I had Cinderella rehearsal in the morning, then a matinée and a night performance for Beauty and the Beast. Basically I was gone from 9 am to 11 pm.

But... do to B&the Beast we have had the luxury of having many friends and family come visit us!! It has been WONDERFUL! The first weekend our friends Shannon and Richard Anderson came up as well as Blake Merrell. Then the next weekend Luke's Grandma Peacock and his aunt Tammy Allred and her daughter, Taryn came. That Saturday my mom and dad and Garth, Tori, and their girls came up. They weren't able to stay very long, but my dad realizing how sad I was about it, ended up staying an extra day.

(Momentary Tangent) So...I just want to say how much it meant to me that my dad would decide to do that! He's not one to do that sort of thing, especially without my mom. So thank you daddy!)

Anyway-- to clarify why my mom didn't stay-- she was staying with James and Val because Vittoria had had a pretty rough back surgery the Monday before and she was still assisting them for a few more days. She did end up making a slight detour on her route home and came to visit us for 2 days. That was also very much appreciated!
She was here during my ward Relief Society Birthday party that I was involved with quite a bit so it was really fun to have her in on it! And Tianna LOVED having Grandma around!!!!
The RS bday party was fun too-- It was about the PURSEonal relationship of a Relief Society Sister and so we did a purse themed party. I quite enjoy purses!!

And then.... Easter weekend. It was really weird not being able to go camping or to the desert or anything, but thankfully we did have some company. Ed and Janelle Robinson came up to see the show Friday night and stayed until Saturday. The Easter bunny stopped in Sat. morning and Tianna had a blast looking for the eggs. Plus, she got puzzles and a new dress. Two of her most favorite things. Sunday wasn't too out of the ordinary but we did get over to visit Luke's Uncle Mike and Aunt Toni who live nearby. It's nice having some family close.

Well, I'll stop boring you...just want to thank everyone who was able to come see us.
If you weren't able to we still want you to know we love and appreciate you and hope that some day you can!
PS-- Happy Late Easter

"Deezus" (Jesus)

Last Monday night for Family Home Evening we decided to teach Tianna to recognize Jesus. I have a stack of mini Greg Olsen pictures and we went through those and let her point out where Jesus was in each picture. After singing some primary songs about Jesus we walked through our house and pointed out all of the pictures/statues etc. of Christ. We even hung up a little Jesus calendar next to her changing table. It has been so cute and awesome to watch her this week as she points at it every time she's getting changed and says "Deezus." She does that whenever she walks by any of the pictures in our house now.
Tonight Luke and I were reading the March Ensign together and without even pointing them out to her, she would point at Jesus' pictures and say His name. How amazing! And such a testimony builder to Luke and I.

The most impressive part of this whole thing is how clearly she says His name. Most of the things she says aren't very clear even though we know what she means anyway. What is very frustrating about this is that she says "Deezus", "Dadda", "T.", "Baby," "Puppy," "Belbu" (Belly button) quite consistently, but ........ still NO MAMA!!! She completely refuses to say my name. This morning, just to add salt to the wound, she chased after Luke calling him mama. Then she turns around and completely ignores us whenever we tell her to say "mama." What a twerp. But a sweet one..... who already knows her Savior. I guess we can't ask for much more than that!

Nothing Exciting to Blog

So... it feels like forever since I've posted anything... I've been holding out until I had something really fun to put on, but... well... I don't.

Life has been too monotonous I guess. Luke wakes up - goes to school all day while I spend all my day cleaning up after the Tiannimal and such. Then Luke comes home for awhile and we eat dinner together. Then I dash off to rehearsal. A few hours later Luke goes to work and shortly thereafter, I get home. Then I put Tianna to bed and watch American Idol that Luke recorded for me until I fall asleep on the couch. When he gets home at 1:00 am-ish we go to bed and start the whole cycle over again. In a nutshell-- that's our life right now.

One fun thing-- I put mascara on Tianna's insanely long eye lashes the other day. She always begs for me to put makeup on her while I'm doing mine, so I decided since I was just about to give her a bath I would see what it looked like. (Let me just say, that is with only a little dab just on the very tips. Who knows where she got lashes like that?? I wish I could say from me!) And no.. she does not have a lazy eye, it just looks like it in that picture.

Then, like promised- here's a picture of Belle and the Beast. Yay for them! They are doing such an amazing job I look forward to seeing those who are coming up to see the show! It will be so fun to have visitors.
