Well, now all we need is a mini-van. We will have our 3rd child this fall, we just got a cat...... and ... now we have a dog.
His name is Copper. Luke has wanted a dog our entire marriage but the timing just wasn't right. I wasn't about to let him get a dog when he was so busy with school and working too. Then we didn't have a truck. Then we just couldn't find the right one on KSL. Either too much $$ or already sold.
Finally on Saturday Luke noticed someone had JUST posted about their dog in Lehi. We were heading up to the family reunion in Highland. Right next to Lehi! So we stopped on our way to check him and and then after the reunion came home with COPPER.
He is a 2 and half year old Viszla.... which are closely related to the Redbone hounds like in "Where the Red Fern Grows" but they have a red nose instead of a black, and they are much better family dogs. So far it's true.
He will kiss ya to death, try to climb into your lap, and is an overall LOVER! He is suppose to be a bird dog, but so far, he only shows interest in mice trails. (ironically, that's why we got the cat... and she' is petrified to be outside. ugh.)
Copper is overall pretty well behaved, but once he gets in his mind he wants to go exploring, not much changes his mind. Typical 2.5 year old!

ARIEL PARTY!
For Adelia's birthday celebration she really wanted to go swimming and have an "Ariel Party." So we planned to bday party for the following Saturday at the Payson Swimming Pool. It ended up being PERFECT weather.
We were so glad Grandma Belinda and Aden and Raleigh could drive up from Castle Dale to play with us. We also had some of Luke's work friends and their families. I should have gotten better pictures of them..we had Laren and his family, Evan and his family, and Scott (missed his family)
It was really really fun and I'm so glad we could celebrate with Adelia doing her favorite thing- swimming!

Found an even better swimming suit at the Disney store which fit AND cost the same. Never thought that would happen!
I love both pictures
And just one more of the cake because it took long enough, it should get some picture action :D
20 weeks, Ultrasound, and Adelia's Birthday
June 13th was an exciting one around here. Our wild-n-sassy Adelia Rose turned 3! Yes, 3!!! Who can believe it? It was also the day of our ULTRASOUND! It was so special to share these to occasions and to have the gift of knowing what our next little bundle of joy will be.
We started the day off by singing waking up Adelia to "Happy Birthday" ... cat included.
Opening her umbrella and her Ariel swimming suit -which was too small. Great
Tianna made her a Little Mermaid picture
Aunt Val, Uncle James and Cousin Jacomo sent her a gift which arrive on the porch that day. It was exciting for her to get a package. Don't mind the cat doing her biz behind her...oops
Ariel and 2 sisters-- this will prove to come in handy later when I made her cake for Saturday!
The girls built a fort to play in
and as a special birthday gift-- Lilly let her hold her for longer than 2 seconds
At dinner I had Luke snap a 20 WEEKS shot. Half way there little baby!
Birthday girl wanted in on one too.
Dinner at Tsing Tao's--- Adelia requested Chinese food
Then we headed off to our ultrasound which wasn't until 6:30 pm. Adelia innocently asked, "So does the doctor cut open your belly so we can see the baby?" So we had to again explain how ultrasounds work. :
(I tried to scan the profile picture of our sweet baby, but I apparently don't know how to work the scanner.)
We were so grateful to find the baby is healthy, and she's growing just right.
Catch that? Yes. i said she. We are thrilled to announce baby numero 3 is another girl! We really are excited.... would have loved a baby boy, but we are still very happy.
However, Luke likes to buy the girl's boy toys just to balance things out around here.
Happy Birthday Adelia. We love you So SO much. You test our patience each and every day....... but we wouldn't change you for anything.
You are feisty and high spirited yet also very loving and affectionate. We call you our Sour Patch Kid (or Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde...)
You have an attitude which can get you into trouble, but also keeps us laughing.. our all time favorite story about you and your 'tude, is when Daddy's coworker, Evan, told you to slow down eating your Frosty or you'll get a headache. You turned to give him a crusty look and said flatly, "Just do your work." and went on shoving ice cream into your mouth.
Our home is so full of joy because of you. Thanks for being such a delight. Love you always and forever, Little Rosie Rose!

Meet Lilly-Cat! and a really unwanted guest.
Our house is kind of in the sticks. It's a housing community south of a tiny little city. Since we live out in the hills, we have some nasty critters at our house.. the worst being this evil and nasty creature
This is right after Adelia literally THREW the poor kitty into the bathwater. All things considered, she handled it rather well!
It's a dead, upside down WOLF SPIDER. The picture does NOT do this thing justice. It's nearly 2 inches long in it's dead shriveled self. I had nightmares of this thing alive because it would have been the size of a small tarantula!
Also, we have a mice issue.. Luckily all 10 or so we have seen have been outside in our window wells etc but under the circumstances we decided we needed a CAT to hunt the mice.
*Preface- Luke has always said he HAAAAATES cats and we can never have one. Well, with our current mouse issue he finally conceded. And we found ourselves an adorable little rag doll kitten.
Tianna named her Lilly. This is after a few days when she would stick around long enough to let the kids hold her. She warmed up to Luke and I quickly but the girls took a bit longer.
Okay, she more or less tolerates Adelia. But between her BATH incident (next pic) and Adelia always hurting her while trying to love on her.............. she's really quite forgiving all things considered. This is right after Adelia literally THREW the poor kitty into the bathwater. All things considered, she handled it rather well!
She loves to snuggle into your neck.
This is Luke "hating" her. We've finally gotten him to admit that he "likes" her but won't admit that he really does love her to pieces.
How I left them Saturday morning as I headed off to a baby shower. Can't ya just see how much he dislikes her? Yeah.. me too.
Is it weird when your daughter and your cat have the same eyes?
We love our little Lilly. She's a stinker sometimes and REALLY really feisty. About 20 times a day she gets really hyper and attacks anything that moves........ especially your feet. She likes to hide out under our bed and wait for you to walk by. Then she attacks. She's suppose to be an outside cat only... but so far she has spent the majority of her time inside. She's petrified of being outside. We've gotten her transitioned to the garage during the night and whenever we leave, but the great out of doors is a work in progress.
All in a Day
Often as as a parent you marvel how quickly your kids are changing..........
Some days it's even more apparent.
Earlier in the day:
Our GIRLIE GIRLS in Tianna's dance costumes.
Later that day:
Our new boys! Tyson and Andre`
Luke is the 2nd councilor in the Elders Quorum Pres and as the EQP was in charge of the Father's and Sons Outing, Luke needed to go. As you well know, we have no sons, so...... he decided to take our "New Boys" with him. They begged all day to get in their boy clothes and mustache's! It was hilarious! And they loved going with dad and sleeping in the Pathfinder.

Dancing Queen
Our Tianna-Banana had her very first dance recital on June 5th.
She was sooooooooo excited and did an exceptional job! I can't believe how big and mature she is getting to be....... to be honest, it freaks me out!
Especially when after the recital I stopped at Walmart to buy some ice cream and a lady thought for sure she was my SISTER! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don't tell me that until she's like 20. Then I'll take it for a compliment!
She had 3 dance numbers: The opening "Strawberry Shake" and then her class did "Neverland in a cute Tinkerbell costume (which I didn't get a picture of her in until the next day), and her jazz costume to "Sugar Pie."
Great Grandpa and Grandma Peacock also made the trip to watch her. Thanks so much for coming!

Her cute class
We were so proud of her. She knew the dances so well and had so much energy and enthusiasm. She truly shined!
Who is this old child?! It can't be ours?!
These are the cousins that were able to come watch. Thanks Mom and Tori for coming and bringing these cute girlies. Tianna loved having you there.Great Grandpa and Grandma Peacock also made the trip to watch her. Thanks so much for coming!
Lake Reunion at Starvation Reservoir
June 1st and 2nd we went to the annual Lake Reunion and this year it was at Starvation Res. by Duchesne. We stayed in a beautiful cabin and it was a great time, like it is every year.
No, Luke's dad (Bert) is not really using a walker. He just celebrated the BIG 5-0 and Luke thought since he was getting so old and decrepid we should get him his very own walker.
Thanks for humoring us by using it! :D
What a view, huh!
For Luke's side of the family we held a cake party for Adelia who's birthday is actually today (the 13th.) Thanks Monica for your efforts with the cake. I know it didn't turn out as you wanted but please know, we appreciated it! And she loved it anyway! We brought a kids craft and it turned out to be a BIG HIT!
2 empty Kleenex Boxes, triangle sponges and paint = MONSTER FEET!
RAWR!!!!!
Right below the cabin was a perfect fishing spot and we spent much of our time down there casting our lines.
We love love the Lake Reunion every year!
