Logan for a Day

We kicked Spring Break off with our trip to Goblin Valley and randomly decided to use our other day Luke had free from work to visit some friends in Logan. (yeah.. 2 ends of the state in 2 days) We loved that place so much and made life-long friends.  So did Tianna! Her buddy Kendra and her were so close before we left but haven't been able to see each other in almost  a year. Plus..I missed her mommy!

It was so fun to see them. WOW and Kendra and Taylor grew so much! Tianna and Kendra are only a couple of weeks apart in age...even if her height makes her look 8! And their little Taylor is 2 months younger than Adelia.
 Silly girlies!
Linaya was there too--cute as always!
It was nice to visit with the Smith Family. While we were there Luke went to see his friends at his old job and run some errands. Then we ate at one of the restaurants we discovered right before we moved away. After that we went to the park by our old house and saw a couple of the old ward friends and then topped the day off with some AGGIE ICE CREAM! yuuuuuuummmy  as always!

We sure love Cache Valley and it's beauty. If only it weren't so far away............

Easter Sunday- HE IS RISEN! (and then Goblin Valley)

Sunday, Adelia gave her very first talk in Primary. It was on Jesus is the Christ, of course... it was Easter Sunday, after all.
Not only that but the girl's got to sing with the other Primary children, "Gethsemene" in Sacrament meeting.  Our kids LOVE LOVE LOVE that song! It's so fun to hear them both sing it all the time.

As soon as church was out, we headed to Castle Dale.  We had an adventure bright and early on Monday waiting for us!

Tianna had the entire week off of school for Spring Break so Luke took 2 days off to have some family fun together!
First stop- GOBLIN VALLEY!!!!!!!!!

Grandpa Bert, Grandma Belinda, Aden and Raleigh joined the party as well :)
As soon as the kid's shoes hit the sand they were off with a running start!

Just Luke, scaring the heck out of me!
Before heading home we attempted a hike through LITTLE WILD HORSE CANYON... we didn't get too far before rain threatened and the kids were pretty tuckered out.

It was a LOT of driving for one day, but we loved going to one of the neatest places in the whole wide world. How lucky we are to live near such amazing landscapes.

Easter BUNNY Morning

We had our first Easter weekend at home since Tianna was a baby! Luke didn't have any time off work and Tianna didn't have any days off school until the week after Easter Sunday so we opted to just stay home.  It was actually pretty nice!

The Easter Bunny got our memo we wanted him to show up Saturday morning instead of Sunday. Love having Saturday be all the frivolous stuff where Sunday can focus on the TRUE Easter.
All week long the girl's had asked me if I thought the Easter Bunny would bring Peeps. They were really excited that he did! (at least Tianna did, until she actually tasted one and remembered she doesn't even like that! haha)
Mm tasty basket!
I couldn't get a good picture of them looking for eggs because they were moving around too fast. I told them to hold still for a second so i could get a picture of them LOOKING for them. Immediately this pose occurred! haha. Once a poser, always a poser, right?
After we had a nice breakfast we went down to the egg hunt (mentioned in previous post.)

That afternoon we got together with some of our friends from Sunstone and their families for a hot dog roast in the hills behind the subdivision we live in.  We had some more FRANDSEN/PEACOCK traditions to show the Price's anyway.
And what's a hot dog roast without some shot gun shooting??????  Melissa not only realize the fun of egg dying, but of shooting shot guns. It took a lot of convincing to get her to try, but she loved it.
I wish I had brought the camera out!

Last, but certainly not least, one of the BEST Easter outing traditions is rolling...well, racing, the colored Easter eggs down hills.  Just so happens we live on the perfect hill for such events!
Who knew adults could enjoy egg rolling as much as we did! It really was hilarious. We ended the perfect and BUSY day with dinner at the Price' and a big bowl of Red Barn ice cream.  It was a great  day.

Sharing traditions!

We have some good friends here in Santaquin. Some of those friends are the Price'.  Melissa (and of course her sister) are from Brazil.  Although they have spent most of their lives in the US, neither of them have EVER colored Easter eggs. SAY WHAT?!?!  Their E. Bunny always just left plastic eggs.... so there really was no reason to color eggs.

SO, we took it upon ourselves to change this!
Their daughter, Sophie, is SO sweet and she loves us ;) Win Win!
Adelia took this business VERY seriously!

Linaya missed out on all the fun by going to bed......... but don't worry. I have plenty of pictures of her to throw in at a moments notice. haha
She's getting so big!
