2 0 1 5 !

Mm I feel like writing cuz I had the best weekend in a long time. Maybe because I don't actually have that many real weekends. Ha ha ha. Anyway, J & I spent Saturday celebrating Chanel's wedding. It was by far the happiest wedding I've been to; a lot of joy in the air & I really felt very happy for the both of them. On our way driving to their dinner banquet, J & I were admiring the sunset which was beautiful that evening. I couldn't help but feel that even the heavens were celebrating this union ^^

We visited Ronin Cafe @ 17 Hong Kong Street for some us-time after mass. It was my first time, J's second. I tried Wicked (iced), a mint mocha & erm, didn't really like it enough to finish it. Oops. I thought it was a tad too sweet. Maybe its just that day or maybe I didn't like the mint - can't quite place it. J had the iced matcha. Bland, in our opinion.

Sunday was spent with two of my favorite people:


The Plain Cafe @ 50 Craig Road


Tried Generra at The Plain on Shar's recommendation. I love it! would totally go back for it hahaha. It's mocha with orange flavour, go figure. Try it! Ended the day with Funan, then Thai food at Sin Lai Lai at Golden Mile Complex. It was our first time at SLL; always went to Diandin Leluk prior. Prices are slightly lower here. The basil minced beef we had was suuuper spicy! Not for the fainthearted & I'm not fainthearted. Died. But the seafood tom yum was really good. Value for money too. Yums.

Work was dreadful last week. Not that anything happened or anything. Just a general ugh to have to work & I really dragged myself there everyday. But this weekend really lifted my spirits, recharged my soul. Blessed, loved & thankful.

Nasi Padang at Rumah Makan Minang

We spent the day at Funan & the PC show... cuz I'm thinking of getting a mirrorless cam! THE PC SHOW WAS HUGE BUT THERE WAS NO SONY BOOTH. WHYYYYY. AND.

Carl's Jr. at Terminal 3 closed down!!!!! to be replaced by Old Chang Kee. What the?!?!! A joke I came up with myself some time back: eat Old Chang Kee, become Old Chunky x,x okay, not like eating Carl's is any better but!!!!!

Zzz.

4 Fingers Chicken took over Popeyes at T3 as well! Mega sadz. 4 Fingers is okay. But Popeyes & Tom & Jerry gave me so much memories :( anw T3 was crazy crowded; later on I realized it was the school holidays. We had dinner at Poulet (after realising Carl's died). First time there, nubbad! Thumbs up for their signature Poulet Roti & mushroom soup! Affordable I would say, the main courses were abt $15.80 each & I was ultra full! The pics I took failed so, no pics.

Why do day offs pass so quickly? Back to work tmrw. Sobsss.

This was what I did last night!!!!! in slightly over three hours. And now we're halfway through 2014. Oh my.



Without this girl, I would never have signed up, or possibly signed up but not turned up. Thank you :-* at 10km, we were like, "Okay we've exceeded the total no. of kms we run in a year." Haahahaha. Takeaway? I will never, ever, ever consider a 42.195km. That.is.just.insane x,x

Thank you God for the slight drizzle which was light enough to keep things cool but which did not develop into a massive downpour (my dread), and for pushing me through every step of the way. It was all I could do, telling myself to not let up in that final 4, then 3, then 1.1km which felt like foreverrrrrr. Yay to #achievementunlocked2014 ! :)

And so, today marked my first day of MC after seven months of work. Due to..........conjunctivitis, i.e. sore eye. This week was supposed to be one of my longest work weeks yet, nine days straight. MC's currently covering today & tomorrow but the redness doesn't seem to be going down anytime soon :/ so it seems like I'm gonna get a good, legit break.

And so.......... I had the craziest Saturday ever, after my last post on Friday night. Because this ill patient became more ill and had to be transferred to the high dependency unit. Finally, finally, finally settled everything at 6pm (non-stop from 7am) with a lot of help from everyone. Touched, obliged and thankful.

Over the last six months, I've rarely (/almost never) felt like crying at work/because of work. But today, someone very almost broke me. I was so, so, so vexed and frustrated. Ultimately, I gave in and completed what was your responsibility. I dislike you. I wish our paths may never cross again but that's just...fat hope.

Its been hell of a five days. Possibly the most crazy stretch yet ever since I started work. And now I'm just really, really glad that I'm finally, finally off. Big cheers to the next two days off with my better half ❤ !
