Fourth of July Weekend

We had such a fun 4th of July this year. On Sunday evening we walked to the high school that is about 1/4 of a mile away, and got on a bus, to go to a park for a fireworks show. I think this was Hailey's favorite part of the whole trip. To this day she will occasionally still look at me and say, "bus? bus?" because she remembers riding the bus. Here we are waiting for the fireworks to start. We ended up waiting a LOT longer than we wanted to. For some reason the city of Friendswood thought it was more important that the dumb band there got lots of playing time, instead of starting the fireworks at a decent time. They didnt start till 10pm!!! Next year we will find a different fireworks show.

Still waiting..... Once they did start though Hailey was a little nervous for all of 2 minutes and then she went and sat with daddy and was mesmerized. It was so fun! The camera died before I got a pic of Jonny and Hailey.
The following Monday we went to the beach with Chiara and Kenny's family, and Marissa and Kevin's family. We had a blast while we were there and so did all the kids.

I love this picture of all the kids sitting on the blanket eating lunch (and sand). We also noticed about 10 minutes into eating that all the adults had subconsciously made a perimeter around the kids to keep them all on the blanket. It was funny...you probably had to be there though to think it is funny like we did.

The babies loved playing in the sand, and so do I, so we had a good time.
Jonny snapped this picture of James and Hailey! SOOO cute!

And here is baby Kylie sleeping away. Isnt her little swim suit so cute!
