my friends are all waiting for me to update -_-
haha....
wanted to finish uploading all the photos before i blog, but perhaps i should just do a short entry on the 1st day of my trip and finish off the rest tomorrow or what :)
you wouldnt believe how last minute our planning of the trip was.
Morning, book the resort and ferry,
Before Noon, set off.
i cant believe it!
Initially, we were planning to go Pulai Desaru. Our wish was for a short getaway to some tranquil beach. Felt that it was time for some bonding and spending quiet moments alone, just the 2 of us.
The plan was busted cos the tour agency couldnt help book any hotels since they needed a period of 2-4 working days. Jayen decided that he would book the hotels direct online.
And poor him spent the entire night.
The only place that could give us instant confirmation was Batam. Change of destination, but all was good. Cos it doesnt really matter where we go, as long as we have each other by our side, haha!
He called me in the morning around 8am, confirmed all booking details, packed and we set off at 1145am.
And of cos, my mom was nagging, but she relented in the end too, heee

At Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal =)

the ferry ride took only 35 minutes to reach the island.
There were not many people at the terminal since it was a sunday (totally OFF PEAK), haha.. and the van which ferried us back to the resort only had the 2 of us in it, keke......

The lobby

The staff were really friendly..and very free, haha..
Next, the driver drove us to our room (in fact is a hut, haha!)
i still prefer to call it a cottage!

ours is very very near to the beach :)

Ohhhhhh..... how i love those queen-sized beds, haha!! Like the Banyan tree kind one!!! (i mean the mosquito net gives the room a princessy feel!)
And with red rose petals would those beds be really perfect!!! haha

the balcony!

WE LIKE WE LIKE WE LIKE!!!!!!
the view from our balcony!

dropped our bags and went out to explore the vicinity.

Rows of cottages =)

The beach!

=)

Although it is nothing compared to Bintan beach, it is still beautiful =)

They even had a small play-area -_- with see-saw and swings

Nothing much for recreation cos the resort was under renovation. The sauna, swimming pool, restaurants, bars, even the lobby were all under construction. Abit sad though, haha

The new swimming pool and rooms erected at the other side of the resort.
So we walked all the way from one end to the other end of the beach, hoping to find some nice place.

The waters is quite clear at this end of the beach.
And there was a very very long concrete bridge leading to the other end...

..where there were soooo many monkeys!!
jayen calls this place the 花果山 水帘洞 -_-
he really thinks got the monkey god here
Construction again?!!! :(

No entry to Nongsa Village too.
we went to the Island Bar but there was nobody.

the whole place is old and deserted!! haha.. it's like in those shows where the people were already wiped out by some kind of virus...

nevertheless,

We only took less than 2 hours to finish exploring the whole resort, ahaa...
sat at their recreation area for a game of pool and some snacks.

i couldnt play but baby taught me how to.. sometimes, he just amazes me. he seems to know how to do almost everything, haha
Next was dinner time at the resort's ONE and ONLY restaurant.

The food is very tasty though! Jayen ordered a beef hot-plate with rice, and me, an Ayam Penyet meal!!!!

when i think of ayam penyet, i always think of darlin Shikin =)
hehe... and whenever i misssss her, i would want to eat ayam penyet, haha!!
we went to the Island bar when it was dark with our own bottle of red wine. The bar was actually open at night, heee.. and the bartender was nice enough to lend us the wine opener together with 2 wine glasses. We ordered a margarita from him :)

=)
more updates soooooon!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
me's back for the second day of the trip ;)
The breakfast that was included in the hotel package started at 7am and lasted till 10am.
By the time we woke up and got ready, it was 930am already.
*teeheehee...
When we got to the restaurant, there were only cereal and toast left for us.
it was rather sad, but i guessed we came down too late :( so all the yummier food was wiped out.
the waiters were very nice to come and ask if we would like some eggs cos they saw how poor thing we were, hehe..
we asked for 2 omelette with bacon and they fried it for us!!!
it was piping hot and tasty!
i tell u, we were so damned touched, haha =)
*SLURP!
went down to the beach after breakkie and were surprised to see how different it looked from last evening. haha
Jayen was so happy to see all the rocks...
but i
..never knew how to appreciate them.
but we especially liked this HUGE one over here. we named it the 金枕头!
Look! It's bigger than me!
Dry land!
baby loves climbing over rocks which i dont understand why too. I guess guys all like to climb rocks and mountains?
We spotted a flowery crab among the rocks!!
The water is so much clearer here!
Time for a swim!! :D
we realised there was tar in the water :( and it wasnt as clean as Bintan's, so we proceeded to the swimming pool instead. I guess chlorinated water is definitely much safer than tar-layered seawater.
we were sooooo elated to see a poolside bar (just like the one at Bintan Lagoon!)
This time round, there was no 养命酒 haha
i decided to help pour out the ice-cold beer =)
but when i heard jayen exclaiming from the other side of the pool, saying, "Baby!!! You know how to pour one or not.....??"
.
..
.
.
not like tat one meh?
*the bubbles after awhile will disappear one lar...8)
Our lunch IN the pool, haha!
There was no other people in the pool and it was quite embarrassing to be in full view of 3 VERY FREE bartenders and waiters, so we took our drinks and food over to the baby pool to eat instead, heh...
Took some photos. i love those attap roofs!
WOW. His backstroke is damn POWER!
Jesus can walk on water, but jayen can sleep on it??!! haha!
...
-_-
CHEY!
This time round, we were not sunburnt cos we didnt stay very long in the sun. i very scared allady. i waited so long for the tan lines to go away :(
This time round, must swathe on ALOT of sunblock lotion.
we went back to our hut after that to wash up. There was nothing to do, so we both took a nap.
We were awakened by loud screeching of.....
MONKEYS!!!!!
the huge 老佛爷 monkey is sitting AT OUR BALCONY!!!!!
i got a shock of my life when i peered out from the glass sliding door to see 20-30 monkeys prowling around at the grass below!!
They were here to steal food!!! Luckily the glass door was locked while we napped. i couldnt imagine waking up to see a monkey sharing the same bed as me!!!
They were very smart indeed! The 老佛爷 was peeking from OUR balcony to check if our 'neighbour' has his door opened or not! and there were smaller monkeys hiding at the side of our balcony, waiting for their 'leader's signals'.
Jayen called me to inform the security just in case anyone got hurt.
cos hor, The Batam-monkeys not like our Singapore-monkeys so obedient one.................hur hur hur...
It is better not to feed them or else they will definitely come back for more.
Mother and child. so cute!!!!!
but sorry, no sympathy points for that!
When we saw that the 'coast was clear', we sat down at the chairs. This monkey came to the grass patch right below us and sat down too.
he was looking right as us and so we started snapping with our cameras.
AND guess what? There was another monkey which was trying to sneak in from the side into our room while we were distracted by him! OMG!!!
These monkeys were DAMN SNEAKY lor!!!!
Jayen took an umbrella outside to scare them away, one of the monkeys even whistled to signal the rest to run! i never knew monkeys were THAT smart!
soon, the security guard came and chased all the monkeys away
running back to their 花果山...
The sun soon set and all was dark again
we had a stroll along the beach and then went for dinner..
Asam Fish!!! :D *SLURPPPP!!!!
we could actually take their transport to explore other resorts around the island and even to their town, but the transportation fees were sky-high.. so we rather relax at our own resort.
played a game of Monopoly and pool, had some drinks before turning in for the night.
=)
3rd Day (our last)
Baby woke up super early. In fact, i think he didnt sleep a wink after a nightmare in the middle of the night.
So we went down for an early breakfast at 7am, haha!!!
ALL THE FOOD WAS THERE! MUAHAHHAHAAA......
*slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp slurp!!!!
YUMMY!
went to the beach again and we spotted something tiny crawling on the sand.
It is damn cute la! but we dont know what creature it was. looks like a fish but can run very fast on land, haha!
Jayen used some sand to cover it up and then said he's going to build a fortress around it -_-
His VERY the BIG fortress -_-|||
the creature soon found its way out and ran off!
hahaha
Baby then wrote something on the sand
His masterpiece!!!
muahahahhaaa......
thanks baby!
he suggested that we both close our eyes and make a wish infront of the 金枕头 rock, haha
it's silly, but it's very romantic! haha
❤ He wished that our love would be as strong as the rock :)
❤ I wished that our love would be as beautiful as the rock.
and his immediate response was, "the rock very beautiful mehhhhh???"
TSK!
i think it's very beautiful cannot meh.
especially when it reflects the sunlight, the whole rock looks golden!
=)
❤
when the morning sun shines....
awesome! :)
soon, we went back to watch TV and then it started to rain!
After the light shower,
a water spout!!!!
WOW!
i've never seen something like that! It's special! :D
we checked out very late at around 2pm and went for lunch.
His chicken chop and my carbonara spaghetti.
=)
~TheEnd!~ haha
