received a piece of bad news the past week :(

baby was riding home from work on thursday when the engine stalled and our bike broke down.. in the middle of the expressway! :( Rush hour traffic was heavy in the evening. It was so dangerous but fortunately, jayen managed to push the bike to the side and called for towing service. Initially the person said he won't be able to help cos it's difficult to stop the towing truck in the middle of the expressway, but thank God he came and 'saved' jayen and bike off the expressway.

Our bike had a major overhaul and was left with the skeleton when jayen went down to 'visit' it the next day.

very sad as we have to be without transport for 3 days and the sadder thing is the sum of money to repair the bike.
800 bucks!!!
*wail :_(

Nevertheless, we took it as a break from riding so we could go partying! teeheehee..

kaifen and the rest of the girls jio-ed us to zouk last night and we had so much fun as usual! haha

it is sweet and tastes like honeydew!! we were so in love with the drink that we ordered a total of 6!

i'm so very proud of him cos he's like the live wire of the party! the girls kept laughing at everything he said. i'm just so amazed at how he never fails to crack us up every single time =)

i went watsons after work today and bought this..


It is a gel to remove layers of dead skin cells from your face. Exfoliates like a scrub, without the hard particles. Something like marvel gel? but more watery.

Claimed to be a best-seller in Japan and i saw them promoting it a couple of weeks back in a shopping mall. I walked past the promoter who was explaining how good this gel was to another lady when i saw how radiant her skin was!
I know it's quite obvious why they would ask someone with great skin to promote their product, but that promoter was an auntie already... not the usual pretty young things you see around cosmetics counters.. But the auntie wasnt wearing any make-up and her complexion was exceptionally radiant!

hmmmmm, and so i bought one bottle today and tried it out.
I pumped some onto my face and massaged... very amazingly, the transparent gel became white colour, haha.. and then you just rub it off like eraser dust! wahaha...

the result is super smooth skin, like the top layer of your skin is rubbed off!!!
freaked me out abit actually!

hope whatever i apply on my skin after that gets absorbed! =)

then, i bought this Brightening eye-roll. hehe

actually i only like the massaging metal roller cos it's so convenient. And cooling!!
no more applying with fingers, hehe
i wonder if this works.

i hate my dark eye circles :( and i dont understand why the left side looks darker than the right :(
must do some damage control before it gets worse...

just handed in my assignment and i feel as free as a bird! YAY!!!!!
though i know honestly it's not done well, but still, i managed to rid it off my chest now! muahaha....

for the past 2 nights i wasnt able to sleep well cos i was dreaming about strategic management! how disgusting!!

Monday comes macroeconomics test and i know full well how little i've understood the subject. sigh... :(
anyway, something's making me really really excited and happy, teeheheeee.....i cannot wait!!!!!!

arghhhhh!!!!!! now i dont even know what i'm writing.

strategic Management is such a horrible topic to write about!! the more i write, the more confused i got! I HATE IT!

i know i still have 2 days before the deadline, but i would be busy with work and school for the next 2 days, it'll be impossible to find time or even have the energy to write my essay.

but i know i really have to take my mind off the stupid essay for now cos at this rate, im going to puke blood soon.

yesterday i was out playing the whole day with jayen, heh... so i deserve to be 头大 now, haha
but weekends is the only time we can have the whole day free for ourselves, so i dont care!


Anyway, we both slept very late into the morning before meeting for a late lunch at kovan.

After lunch, we saw that the sky was threatening rain as the dark clouds loomed over our heads :(
so we hurriedly set off...
but our worse fears were confirmed when we were reaching the KPE exit. It was pouring so heavily! we had to pull over at the road shoulder as we didnt want to get wet.

you cant really see the rain in the picture, but it was very, very heavy!

we talked about everything under the sun.
it was very nice =)

Jayen decided that the KPE tunnel was a nice place for a photoshoot, haha



and it sure was!

the rain stopped after half an hour, thankfully, and we ended up at suntec. We abandoned the idea of going hort park and went bugis instead.

and i got jayen a birthday present!! =)
there are still 20 days to his birthday but i decided that i would rather not risk giving him a surprise by buying something he doesnt really need. I was contemplating whether to buy a digital camera or an iPhone for him, but i know he is lemming for the latter. You cant really buy and give a phone as a surprise for someone since there are administrative stuff to be settled, so i decided to do without the surprise :(

i had some time to spare before going to school last night, so i blow-dried my hair straight.

silky hair. i like.

went mini-toons today and got myself a coin bank

and then i went home, counted my coins and transferred all the 50¢ and 1 dollar coins in.

then, i exchanged all the 20¢ and 10¢ coins with my mom.
it totalled up to 35 bucks.


The coin bank now contains 99 bucks worth of 50¢ and $1 coins, hehe..
not bad huh=)
but of cos, it took me around 3-4 months to save them up.

my mom, paranoid as usual, asked me why i bought a transparent coin bank. She says "钱不可露眼" and i'm tempting the thief to steal my money.
i gave her a -_- look and asked who in the family would steal my money!?
And she said if a burglar breaks into the house, he will steal it first cos he can see the money in it.
and i told her, "Ma... if really got burglar break in, i think he will steal our TV instead..."

she always has a hundred and one reason to nag at me, haha!

and exactly a week before my assignment deadline.. i've not started on it at all. ~Drats!
okok, im going to start tonight.

the past two nights have been shuttling from home to school for night classes, but surprisingly, i dont feel the fatigue as much as when i was working as a full time teacher then, hohoho =)

come to think of it, i'm so glad i quit teaching in a school, heh...
of cos not going to discourage anyone here from becoming one! go ahead, pursue your dreams!!

the only thing i missed about school are the children..
and i miss having much to blog about. sometimes i read my past entries on stuff that happened in class, i think of those rascals it makes me laugh.

im still teaching now. As a full-time tutor. No class full of boisterous kids, less hair-wrenching moments, minimal stress but of cos, less fun too :( tat's a trade-off, but everything else is better, haha

i've deactivated my facebook account. Why? i think i'm somehow sick of having my personal life interfered by so-called friends. Not as if anybody is really interested in my life la, but i dont like the idea of people thinking they are still in very close contact with me JUST becos they are in my friends' list and they get to view my photos in my profile whenever i update or when photos are tagged. Worse still, they make their own assumptions, comment and then confirm their assumptions. It's ridiculous!
i know this is so ironic cos i blog, haha.. want my personal life to be private yet blogging for the whole world?!!
sigh... somehow i started this blog out of mere fun (bordeom?) when i was still in an impressionable age? now i've aged, haha.. i prefer to be a little more private? Moreover, i've blogged close to *count count* 5 years! (OMG! tat's long) and it has become a part of me =) so i think i will still keep this blog

Cellique has given its best selling product a new look, teeheehee... "off with those heads" pro-sebum gel is one God-sent product i cannot live without. If u ask me to recommend something that i think is really really good, it has to be this, haha, and nothing comes close to it =)
if ur skin is plagued with clogged pores and whiteheads like mine, use this. Though it comes with a hefty price tag, i just know i cant save on this.
The cleanser is not as miraculous as the pro-sebum gel though =)

These are splurges that i give myself once in a very long while. and it really is after a very LONG while, aha
i used to spend quite alot on cosmetics a few years back and then, i started spending less by buying cheaper alternatives. Now, i think it's time to pamper myself again, hehe
and it makes me feel happier :D

i love the make up base cos it has spf25 and make-up application after that is so smooth! esther bought one to try too cos she said she fell in love with the smell, wahaha...

Benefit is finally in singapore and i love the packaging of their products.

Dandelion is highly raved and kiyomi used to recommend it.. like duno how many years ago liao -_- 3 years? heee.. and i finally got it! You can use it to brighten up ur face and i think it really works! I use it as a blusher and i totally love the pinkish glow it gives my face!!! So much better than my usual spring heart's blusher!!! (but it cost almost 5 times :( more)

less frequent blogging over the past weeks was due to late nights in school and rushing my assignment.

today im so high! and so in the mood to yak and yak..

we went zouk to celebrate kaifen's bday!
there was a big group of us together with kaifen's frens and we stayed at zouk's members' bar. i've never been to the member's corner before. It was a nice place! cos got sofa for us to sit, hehe

everytime i stayed out late for 3 nights or more, my body wont be able to take it. i was having high fever from sunday till tuesday.
The funny thing was, i didn't feel very uncomfortable as i could still go to work and all, but the fever was 38°C and it didn't go down even after popping panadols. I thought it was dengue and observed my body for rashes, but there wasn't any.
Anyway, my fever is gone now =) so *phew


im meeting dear esther for her very very very belated birthday meal cum shopping trip this evening and i can't wait! :) YAY!!

im so cold and sick.

for the second piece, i've always seen this furry jacket from zen's taiwan sprees and i was always very, very tempted to get it.. but there's no occasion in Singapore for me to wear it since it's supposed to be winter wear but i so so so love the teddy ears sticking out from the hood! wahaha...
and so i bought it no matter what!
it is so furry and soft!
i dont care, i wanna wear it in dec when we plan to go somewhere that has winter! =)


how i wish they have a longer size so i can make jayen wear it.
then i can hug him like a big bear...
