i returned home from school not too long ago.. i'm feeling damn hungry :(

hate it that the school provides SUPER EXPENSIVE snacks for the part-timers :(
i've spent 6 dollars on finger food and i'm still hungry! :((

40¢ for one 5-cm big small mantou (i bought 3)
$1.50 for green tea
$2.00 for a small bowl of cold pasta (macaroni)
$1.50 for a cup of corn

2.50 i can buy one packet of wanton mee at the kopitiam near my place lor.. :(
damn it.. today when i saw that they are charging "$2.60" for a pathethic piece of toasted bread, my first reaction was to scold, "Siao ar!"
and the stupid SIM sch is at some 鸟不生蛋 place.. there's no eatery in the vicinity!
(sorry, i'm so fussy cos i'm super hungry now!!! gotta ransack the kitchen and find food......)

anyway, i received 2 clothes in the mail today..
so happy with my purchases, YAY! hehe
Photobucket
this is a satin romper with French lace!! Yummy!! but it looks more like a slip from the lingerie department, hahaa.. but i love it! it looks really sexy! comes in black too but i opt for the nude one :p
lovely lovely lovely!!

together with the romper is this baby corset top in white. I'm amazed cos it has "bones" inside like a real corset! wahaha..
Photobucket
sorry i didnt have time to wear it properly.. u can see that it isn't even buttoned correctly but i didnt bother.. just wanted to try it to see if it fits
Photobucket

love the ribbon at the back, wahaha! plus the small small metal eyelets, teeheehee
Photobucket
i'm gonna wear it out for our movie date tomorrow!

oh by the way,
Happy 3 and a half year to us!! YAY ☺
So just let me be mushy for one day, hahaa... Thanks for everything, ahdear! 4 words to describe our relationship -> 相依为命
very apt indeed!
i look at tomorrow's schedule i wanna cry :_(

9.00am-11.00am= kid 1

11.30am-1.30pm= kid 2

2.30pm-4.00pm= kid 3

4.30pm-6.00pm= kid 4

tomorrow is Children's day leh.. shouldnt the parents be kinder to their kiddos and let them have a break from tuition? Instead, they add more because of the sch holiday! haha..
i know most people work from 9am to 6pm, so i shouldnt be complaining.. Just feeling sad that lunch would be bread on-the-go again :(

but luckily there's no school tomorrow night, PHEW! so i could have a proper dinner.
Yay, officially left with 2 more classes before the exams come end of october :)

i love exams, teeheehee~ yes, i bian tai one.

anyway, i came across something quite funny at Fail blog
Photobucket

actually most of the stuff there are funny, go check it out, hehe..

i bought children's day gifts for some of my tutees! hehe :)

i remembered when i was teaching, i love buying stuff for the kiddos. Just that in order not to spend a bomb (cos had to buy 40 of the same stuff -_- and worse still, got many classes of kids to give), i had to choose the cheap cheap things, like pens or what.. cos if one pen costs $1, forty pens would mean $40! :(

And you know kids nowadays NEVER treasure their things. U can give them the present in the morning, and by afternoon (after recess), u find the present ON THE FLOOR -_-
Very disheartening one lor! Unless you buy them damn expensive stuff, they will treasure it. But the thing is, buying 40 of the damn expensive stuff means burning a BIG hole in ur pocket.

That's why i always customise their presents. Buy a cheap pen and personalise each pen with the kid's name, wahahha~ then they sure keep it properly! Cos nobody would throw away something with their own name on it, hehe

But of cos, i dont have the problem now. I can spend a little bit more on the gifts since i only have a handful of students :)

Photobucket
Nice right?? wahahaha~ and they are definitely NOT cheap lor! One alphabet is 90¢, add add add... the damage is 30 bucks!
But they are really nice, right? hehee.. and come to think of it, it would be my last present for them already as i wont be teaching them anymore.. so must give something nicer this year :)

Other presents for the other kids
Photobucket
Rubber duckie toothbrush holders for 2 brothers, wahaha...

yeapp.. and the rest, i only give stationery like correction tapes..
hahaa.. cos some parents are really nice and always give me food during CNY, Mid-autumn fest, christmas etc.. must return the favour :)

how's ur weekend? :)

today is sunday and i skipped church today :(
i am home busy researching for journal articles for the next assignment on the list. We've just submitted the first project on friday. Two more to go. One has to be handed up next week, and the last one to be handed up the following week.

Arghhh... as much as i love studying, i equally dread working on projects (especially group projects, hahaa..) it's a gamble, whether u get project mates from heaven or hell, hehe
i know i've been complaining alot recently... but.... *BREATHE IN BREATHE OUT*

I can get thru this....

something to look forward to.. grandma has just cooked a tasty lunch in the kitchen. i can smell the soyasauce chicken and beansprouts with capsicum(my fave!!). I still love grandma's cooking anyhow. It's the best.. YUMMY!

last but not least, a photo taken yesterday at jayen's place
Photobucket

yes, i am a camwhore.
enjoy the rest of ur sunday!

yeap, so i woke up and now blogging about my simple mid-autumn fest celebration last night, hehe

by the way, my eye hurts cos there is something growing on my lid, very close to the lash line :((
i've just applied loads and loads of eye gel (medicine) i got from the pharmacy last time. Hopefully it heals soon! wail*

yay.. so back to the celebration :D
jayen has been bugging me since the 7th month that he wants to celebrate mid-autumn fest -_- and kept asking me which date. i think he feel deprived cos the last few years, he didnt manage to celebrate it properly. heh..
yupp he told me that last year, he had to do OT and was celebrating at work! -_- Hanging lanterns outside the Far East showflat, hahaaa..

anyway, i'm glad this year he no longer needs to work there and we could have a proper celebration! jayen specifically wanted to play with candles.. so i bought birthday candles from the Econ mini-mart near my place and even brought 20 tealight candles to play, hehe

we went to Kallang Leisure Park to buy lanterns and had our dinner before going to Kallang river.
Photobucket
十五的月亮 is very the 圆!

it was super dark by the river!
and the wooden floor was very wet and slippery. I almost slipped a couple of times! i was so scared i would slip straight into the river! fyi, i've got this morbid habit of imagining freak accidents to happen to me. i think it was after i watch "Final Destination" in the movies! sigh.
Photobucket
the only light was from the flame, heh..

thank God for the rain in the day, cos the wind was rather cooling at night :)
Photobucket
YAY! i love traditional lanterns. i think i can count with my fingers the number of times i actually played with lanterns. I dont remember playing with them when i was younger. Either i was so deprived of my childhood, or i have a really bad memory..

but i do remember playing with the battery-operated ones my grand-dad bought for me when i was in primary school. My parents would never buy those for me cos they think it's a waste of money. Only grand-dad or my aunt would spoil me with such 'toys', hehe

Photobucket
teeheehee..can u see me without flash? :D

Photobucket
jayen isnt a fan of lanterns but he definitely is looking forward to playing with candles. We lit up a few tealights before the security guards came and said, "Sorry guys, no open flame allowed" :( SAD CASE!
i think they scared their wooden floor get burnt!

haiyah.. cannot play with candles not fun! i was still thinking of making a heart-shape with lighted candles :(

we had no more entertainment so we resorted to taking loads of photos, hahaa
Photobucket
Photobucket

Photobucket
i bought along 2 mini 猪笼月饼! haha.. mooncake fest must have mooncakes to eat then correct mah
Photobucket
jayen is more interested in the food..
Photobucket

i was trying to take artistic shots..
Photobucket
but to no avail. I think this was the best shot liao :)

Took self-timer shots :)
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
wahahhaa... see the chinese quote, hur hurhur.. tiong kok!

i was singing the 但愿人长久 song for the longest time and exclaiming at the moon etc.. until jayen softly told me afterwards, "Aey, u know got people sitting beside us or not?"
HUH!
wah lao! so dark i didnt even notice lor! and the whole time i was making a fool out of myself! how come he never tell me earlier, damn malu !
so we hurriedly left the place so that they wont see our my face.

yeap, tats about it. My mid-autumn festival 2010, haha
my eye hurts really badly, cos i'm forcing myself to stay awake. hahaa
yahh not enough sleep again..

i'm working hard on my group assignments. I'm very happy with the current project my mates and i are working on. Cos it's fun but SUPER tedious!!
i cant remember how many zillion times we edited the version! but i love our group! 3 of us girls, hehe.. i really have to say this.. i love these girls who can work hard and play as hard.. cos hor, my other project mates for another project really is.. i dont know lar, NO LIFE :( saturday go school do project until 8pm still say, if dont finish cannot leave, if leave must meet again the next day (sunday) to finish!
Doesnt mean meet longer will increase efficiency lor! And worse still, when i say i have to work on weekends (which is true!) so will meet them at a later time, they give me that "weekend still work meh, sure not. dont Keng la" kinda face.

I hate it! dont they have any personal life of their own?
yes, some are singles :( i know i'm gonna offend some people here who are singles. i'm not saying single=no life. I was also single before, BUT i wont hog other people until they dont have time for their bf/gf or family what! :((
whole 2 days of weekend lor :(

anyway, i was supposed to blog about the mooncake festival (i know the correct term is "mid-autumn fest", but i still prefer to call it mooncake fest, haha)

However, i rant and complain until it's very late. 1.14am now.
i ought to sleep, so good night! blog again tomolo

p.s. i love mooncakes!

This is an unearthly hour to be updating my blog, hahaa..
but i just woke up after my nap at 7pm.

cos it was my brother's wedding day and we didn't get much sleep the night before. Yes, told u i was excited liao.. i managed to catch only 3 hours of light sleep. It goes the same for my folks..but guess who got the most sleep? My brother, the groom himself! -__-!
haha..

And i've got almost 50 photos to share here, haha

In the morning, all of us woke at 6am and started getting really busy. My grandma cooked TangYuan and my dad collected the roasted pig. My mom went to 'set' her hair at the salon downstairs and me ar, busy getting ready, haha..
Photobucket
Grandma made dad comb brother's hair 3 times infront of the altar and basically, the whole scene was quite funny...
Photobucket
cos my grandma was the only one serious and saying the duno what "一梳, 梳到尾..." aloud..
and my dad and brother just followed along. After the whole ritual, my brother could still jokingly say he had his hair combed infront of the fridge (cos the altar is above our refrigerator)
and i think it made my grandma quite angry, hahaa

The whole thing was quite rushed (since it was a lunch banquet instead of dinner) and my brother even forgot the whole baskets of oranges when he went over to fetch his bride.
.. and when we called him on his phone, he told us he got take 2 oranges -_-! (he think he go there 拜年 ar....)
anyway, he wasn't really concerned with the traditions and i think my grandma got very upset over it, heh..

After my brother had gone over to the bride's house, we all adjourned to his new apartment :)
Photobucket

we the 'young people' were seated at the second VIP table.. and SOME VERY RUDE PEOPLE next table even had the cheek to ask whether we're SUPPOSED to be seated there.
HELLO??
wth. you dont go around asking the host if they're supposed to be seated at the VIP table right?
How rude can people get man? get ur facts right before jumping into conclusion!
Anyway, i'm glad jayen managed to stand up for us, hahaa.. (p.s: my grandma is very proud of u, baby haha!)

anyway, cant be bothered with them.. it's a special occasion for family and friends

the whole wedding has a very romantic feel, haha.. Somehow, i think that the mood of a wedding results from how the bride+groom feel or act towards each other. Like, if the 2 of them are very loving, u can somehow feel it in their wedding. If they're a fun-loving couple, the banquet would usually be light-hearted.. Or if they marry for the sake of marrying, heh.. the guests will also feel that particular mood in their wedding lor, hahaaa...

I definitely have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, i feel extremely happy for my brother that he has found a woman to love wholeheartedly and live for the rest of his life. On the other hand, i feel a tinge of sadness because i know i'm gonna miss him alot at home since he's moving out. i'm going to be scared when i go to the toilet at night (hahaa.. like i was telling my cousin, i feel secured when i go use the bathroom at night cos my bro's room is the nearest to the toilet and i know he's ard, it makes me less afraid, hahaa)

And i also feel sad for my parents and grandma cos i know they will miss him alot too :) it makes me want to cry just thinking about how my brother and i have grown over the years.. it's time to start a new family on our own. Awwww.... and i feel damn emo.. Very happy yet with lots and lots of misses.. like how he thanked all of us, we actually have as many things to thank him for.

Thank you brother, for the 30 years of staying together.. the joy, tears, squabbles, going through happy as well as difficult times together as a family. We love you. May you have a blissful marriage and life ahead!
