Milestone
:)

Photobucket

this was one piece of paper i held on tightly with so much pride.
Worth much more than gold or silver :)

And the "Faith" in front of my name was there to remind me to continue to have faith in God and my success is from Him above!

Have a good mid-week. I'm darn sleeeeepy and my eyelids kept on closing the whole day at work. Tomorrow is a brand new month to run again. Yay

Sunday, August 28, 2011

It was a great Friday at work.
Miraculous i would say. Everyday is a day for me to experience God's goodness and His faithfulness.

Usually i won't divulge details of my work on my blog, cos i do not know who exactly is reading what, hahaa.. and the company is rather strict with what we post /circulate on the social media, so strictly no photos of company events /my colleagues.
I post them on facebook because my colleagues are in my friends list. But on facebook, i seldom post personal / relationship stuff, cos i do not like my acquaintances to facebook-stalk me, haha
Yes, i do have privacy-settings.
If they happen to find my blog, then too bad lor, keke...

:)
Yesterday was Polling day and my pay came in, so i treated the boy to Japanese food at Tampopo Grand :)
Long time no eat good food. Really lorrr...
Photobucket
And this time round, the food was awesome!!! REALLY AWESOME!
Nothing fantastic as we ordered very simple dishes, but it was super tasty!

Appetizer (my fave Edamame)
Photobucket
Jayen eating his peas, haha
Photobucket
Fried chicken
Photobucket

This was my favourite dish!! It's omelette covered in spicy roe sauce
Photobucket
The sauce was really good!!! It comes with 2 pieces of toasted bread to be dipped in the sauce!
Even the bread was so tasty we ordered yet another 2 pieces! hhaa
Photobucket
YUMMY!
Even the rice was good, hahaa
Photobucket
I had the feedback form in my hand. Having the urge to tick "EXCELLENT" in all the boxes, wahaha...
Photobucket
Last but not least, grilled Japanese eel
Photobucket
which turned out to be omelette again!! We didn't know that, cos the menu didn't have photos in them and we can't read Japanese :(
The last fish dish wasn't as good as we expected, haha

We totally enjoyed our dinner though it was quite expensive, close to 70 bucks. But it makes me happy to eat real good food once in a while :))

After that, i stocked up on my Meiji Collagen. Cos the first purchase in my birthday month can let me earn X5 Watsons points, yay!
So i made sure my most expensive buy must be in August, haha
omg, i feel so auntie.. always thinking of ways to get good bargains, lol
Photobucket

We didn't manage to get movie tickets so we headed home to watch the results of the Presidential Election.
I'm playing with Jayen's toy gun. It's some alarm clock thingy u see at Action City, haha
Photobucket
But i was too tired to watch the news on CNA so i slept all the way while Jayen had his eyes fixed on the TV. Boyfriend woke me up at 1am and i realised the results still not yet out, need to recount... so i took a cab back home to continue with my beauty sleep, haha..

Woke up at 5am to check Facebook and found out that Tony Tan had won.
Honestly, it feels a little depressing.
But i think somehow it's more depressing to see the ugly side of people, including myself. He is just a human, not God. Maybe we have to learn to be kinder.

sighh.. may God bless our nation.

Lovely surprise at work yesterday :)

Armed with a bouquet of roses, a teddy bear and a pencil case (-_-), boyfriend popped by my work place to cheer me on at work, haha

He claims that all these are the things i love :)
and says "I got take note of the things you said you liked one hor!"

heee....
Photobucket
A retro pencil case
Photobucket
and a bear with the cutest face on earth, haha
Photobucket

Thanks dear! You are the best, hur hurhur.... :p
After postponing a birthday meet-up due to my company dinner the earlier week, cousin Kaya and i 好不容易 fixed another date on a weekday evening.
But i arrived at work with a bad news that there would be a sales meeting that evening :(

Sigh... but kaya was really nice cos she waited a few hours for me to knock off :(
We planned to have dinner at this cafe called Little Part 1 Cafe along Thomson Road, but my meeting ended at 9pm and the cafe's kitchen closed at 9pm!!!
We were super disappointed but had no choice but to walk all the way to Liquid Kitchen for our dinner.
Sorry babe!!!!! :(

Was starving when we reached Liquid Kitchen.
Photobucket
cousin looks very cute here, hahaa!! I was telling her she looks really young in her new hair and her tee-shirt!!! She's always this styloo~! :DD

She ordered a salad for her main..
Photobucket
which contained the world's best tasting mushrooms ever!!!
SUPER TASTY!

Me with my main,
Photobucket
we shared the salad and the sausages! :))

And kaya gave me this really sweet Tisu-pouch from NaRaYa! She bought it from her recent Bangkok trip! hehe..
Photobucket

Thanks for the treat, babe!!! And Sorry to make you wait so long, sorry sorrrry!!!

It was my conferment and graduation ceremony tonight :)
and i was feeling really excited :)

Feels abit like a wedding though, haha

I took leave today so it was damn shiok, cos i slept until 1pm!! Woke up, washed up, had lunch and started ironing my graduation robe. hehe
After that, i made my way to school for the ceremony :)
My parents went slightly later than me cos i had to be there earlier for registration.

There were 2 graduation ceremonies today, one for the full-time students and one for the part-time students. When i reached SIM, the full-time students just ended theirs and i managed to catch hold of buddies, Weijie and Sherwin, for a quick photo! haha
Photobucket

After that, i met up with my batch of part-time students! hehe.. those who braved through gruelling examinations and crazy deadlines together with me, haha
Photobucket
Vin, me and Wendy! Love them! :)
p.s. I realised Vin looks like Joanne Peh lor!!! wahahhaa~

Mark, the only guy from our clique
Photobucket
My fave girl, Wendy!
Photobucket
Photobucket

The 'Robing Room', haha
Photobucket
where people (from dunno where) helped each of us adjust our gowns properly...
We're done!
Photobucket
They were all saying my mortarboard looks weird. I think my head is too big for it lor, haha! Should have gotten a size bigger!
Photobucket
It was soon time to be seated in the Grand Hall, but Vin and i rushed downstairs to buy a graduation bear each! hahaa.. cos we reckoned it would be sold out very quickly!
The bear comes with a RMIT graduation robe on it, SUPER CUTE LOR!!!
but also SUPER EXPENSIVE LOR!!!!!! (i'm not disclosing how much, haha)

Vin and i still bought one each, cos it's really cute la, hahaa.. plus it's only once we can be a 大学生!
And it was my dream to have a graduation bear on my graduation day. I had my wish come true! hehee
Photobucket
i was telling my classmates that i cannot let my mother know how much this bear cost, or else she's gonna nag me to death! haha

Soon, it was time to be seated!
Photobucket
Photobucket
The chancellor, vice-chancellors and academic registrar etc...
Photobucket

The backdrop looks really cool!
Photobucket
Acting Vice-Chancellor and president of RMIT University, Professor Gill Palmer, addressing the graduates..
Photobucket
:)

It was a very long speech, hahaa
Photobucket

My dad was trying to take photos of me on stage, haha.. But he was seated too far from the stage, and they didn't allow anyone to move forward and take photographs.
Thus, the blurry shots.

Me receiving my certificate from the Chancellor, Dr Ziggy Switkowski :)
Photobucket
Dad super zoom-in liao, but too bad still blur, haha
Photobucket
My name happened to be the last to be called, my friends were all saying i was the 压轴 (ya zou)
-_-

Photobucket
Definitely a proud moment :)

On our way out, i bumped into my project mates...
Photobucket
who coincidentally were my dad's Art students! OMG i can't believe it! We spent a whole semester doing project and they turned out to be my dad's students -_- Somemore they can tell me, "Orh, we knew ar..."

THEN HOW COME I DIDN'T KNOW!!?!?!!?!

Photobucket

At the reception,
Photobucket
Mark, me, Vin and Wendy, hehe..
Photobucket
Me and Wendy
Photobucket
A nice photo with my mama and papa :D
Photobucket
i hope they are proud of me :)
because i'm very grateful to them for providing me the opportunity to study and getting a degree! Though i very old liao then become a graduate, but i'm still thankful!!

Photobucket
arghhhh fatty face!

yay yay :)

it was my bird day yesterday, haha

and i made sure i didn't have to work at all :) It is such a good day when i know only FUN awaits me, YAY

I was queen for the day and jayen let me choose whatever i wanted to do and where i wanted to go, haha
I chose to go SENTOSA! :D

It was cloudy in the morning, but thank God the skies cleared up by late morning!
Photobucket
In fact, the sun was so glaring we had a hard time opening our eyes for a nice photo, hehe
Photobucket
We reached VivoCity around 11am and headed to Daiso to buy shades!! hehe cos jayen forgot his sunglasses and he reckoned without a hat, i would complain very shortly afterwards. We didn't want to waste money on an expensive one, so $2 would be very good!! :D

We walked all the way to Sentosa via the Sentosa boardwalk!
Photobucket
Photobucket
i look like i was 3 months pregnant in my babydoll top! wahahaa~
fatty fatty, ehhe

With our 2 dollars buys, teehehee~ Visor and shades! i was a little comprehensive about the visor at first, but jayen thinks it's cool and more importantly, it can protect my whole face from the UV rays :)
Photobucket
i love Daiso.

jayen quickly walking back to the shade after our self-timer shot, haha.. The heat was unbearable!
Photobucket
we took the travellator instead :)
Photobucket
Photobucket
:)
Photobucket

Reached the entrance of Universal Studios but we aren't going in! keke..
Photobucket
Love the cool mist! It really helps to bring the heat down!

We walked pass McDonald's and went in for a light snack. Actually, it was more for the air-con and ice-cold CocaCola, haha
I got a new HelloKitty watch from the HappyMeal! Nice?? :D
Photobucket
However, it keeps dropping off my wrist, cos the strap was so easily loosened! I nearly lost the watch in a few occasions and had to pick it up from the ground -_-!

Siloso Beach!!!
Photobucket
Photobucket
should have brought along my bikini, wahahha~ cos the waters look so cooling to dip myself in!
Photobucket
i wannnnna go for a getaway at some island!!!!!!!! In October!

There was nothing much to do (for free) at Sentosa, so we bought tickets for...
Photobucket
some 4-D shooting game, heh
While queuing up for our turn,
Photobucket
:)
Photobucket
After the shooting game, we went for the 4-D Extreme Log Ride. It is just a stimulator ride la, not a roller coaster.
When we were queuing up, this Indian tourist family was asking the person selling tickets whether the ride is dangerous -_- He replied that it's not. The family continued asking if it's REALLY not dangerous, and the person reiterated that it's not. The family didn't give up and asked if it will be safe for children. The person had no choice but to point to the queue and said, "You see, even got OLD people queuing up. It's NOT dangerous."

haha
Photobucket
It's quite fun actually, hahaa.. Jayen says if it's the 'real thing', he will surely die of fear. wahaha~
But to be honest, i think the effect is not as 'stimulating' as the real roller coaster ride leh. Doesn't have the 'heart going to drop out' or 'urine going to come out' feeling. hmmm...

Anyway, got one angmoh kid scared until cry lor! Heh..
so it's not really 'safe' for the very young children, haha

Next, we just explored different parts of the island... Like the rabbit trail
Photobucket
where there is not a single rabbit in sight. Except for a few blangahs sitting down and chatting by the side.

Images of Singapore... we didn't buy tickets to go in too. What's new, hahaa.. can read from the Straits Times and the news from TV, haha
Photobucket
Photobucket
Self-timer shot
Photobucket

Photobucket

Next was photo-taking with parrots!!!
Photobucket
So pretty!!
Photobucket
Photobucket
The trainer got us to hold the birds! I was holding onto a white parrot and jayen was holding onto this big red one!!
BUT they used their OWN cameras to take for us (and we had to pay for it if we wanted the photo). It was really a fun experience! Too bad we couldn't take with our own camera :(

The second shot was us holding one baby parrot in our palms! SUPER CUTE LOR!!!!!!!
but we didn't buy the photo also :( hahaa
cos we didn't look nice in them, HENG AR! or else have to waste money to buy the photo. Freaking 40 dollars for 2 lor! -_-

For our own cameras, they can only have the parrots in the BACKGROUND
Photobucket
see those cute yellow ones??? hehehe

Photobucket
Photobucket
Jayen took 2 very artistic shots of me...
Photobucket
...playing with the water from the fountain, ahha
Photobucket

At the Fengshui trail...
Photobucket
Photobucket

Photobucket

Guess what's Jayen trying to grab?
Photobucket
hur hur hurrr...
Photobucket

Next was chilling by the Siloso beach and people-watching
Photobucket
Ice-Blended Mocha with whipped cream. Spot my new Happy meal watch, haha
Photobucket

After that, we decided to head back to VivoCity cos we buay tahan the heat! We were roasted and become chao tah liao

Birthday Noodles at Harbourfront food court!
Photobucket
My grandma gave me 20 dollars and asked me to go and buy noodles to eat, haha.. She say Birthday must eat noodles one, haha.. so cute!

After that, bought a mini cake from Vivocity and jayen sang a really nice birthday song for me :)
Photobucket
I made a wish and before i blew off the flame on the candle, Jayen made a birthday 'speech' and i was damn touched i wanted to cry!! hahaaa
Photobucket
yay!
The cake was one of the best we have tasted :) Good things shared definitely tastes sweeter! :)

At 9pm, there was even fireworks in the sky!!!! Love it!
Thanks for celebrating this day with me and making it as memorable! :)
Photobucket
Happy birthday to meeeeee, hahaa
