Have you all gone back to work?
Some of my lucky friends got the whole of last week off lor.. so nice.

Something to cheer about. I got 开工 Angpow from boss :D
They were saying, it is a norm in the private sector that people just go back office to take the angpow, then can go home after that lor.
So nice :) Last time when i go school, also don't have 开工 Angpow from the principal one. haha

yeap, nothing much to see. Last year was more fun cos it was 'raining gold' from the gigantic god of fortune and people were trying to catch the gold flakes using upturned umbrellas.

And on Saturday, i got myself a new phone! Yay-ness~!!!
My 2-yr mobile contract was up and Starhub sent me a $50 voucher, hehe

I know some people can call Starhub and get $100 vouchers, but oh well...
me happy enough, hehe

Was also able to get a 20% staff discount off monthly subscription plans, so decided on an iPhone 4S, yay!

Sorry i know i'm a laggard, but it's my first iPhone! hehe.. I'm NEVER a fan of Apple products, but this phone blew my mind away ;)
And the very next day, i got screen protectors and a super cute Hello Kitty cover for it!

Super love it! White and pink is a great combi, hehe

Last night i was experimenting the SIRI function...
i was trying to act the 'insecure girlfriend'.

haha

I was charging my phone before that and i decided to ask SIRI a question, "Is the battery charged 100%?"
SIRI received as:

No good, don't think he can understand my singaporean accent.

But he can read me my new SMS, and even reply it for me! But hor, he had a hard time trying to figure out what i was saying :(
I wanted to reply with, "I am having fun with my new iPhone!"

SIRI received it as, "I am heading finally Manual iPhone."
-______-! My pronunciation got so bad meh!?

I kept telling SIRI to change the wrongly heard message and after like 5 failed tries, i got fed up and shouted, "It's wrong! It's wrong!"
..... and SIRI said, "Calling Cust Rosa" and started making a call to my customer instead! -___-
:(
Really lor, that SIRI can drive me mad, i wanted to throw the phone away.

However, this was good!

No need to do anything lor. Just before i sleep i just instructed SIRI to set the alarm for tomorrow.

Time to blog about this year's CNY celebration! :)

Usually, it's always the same. cos we visit the same relatives in the same houses, haha
But once a year, it's great to catch up!! Unlike many people out there, our folks don't do mahjong, drink or gamble, so it's more of a quiet gathering chatting, eating and playing with kids.
Very healthy, haha

At night, we went over to another aunt's place for dinner and after that, i met boyfriend for a midnight show at AMK hub :D

I was looking forward to 初二 cos boyfriend will be coming over to 拜年!
I think it's the most dreaded day of the year for Jayden, haha cos i have the strictest parents and none of my past boyfriends had the courage to come over to meet them, except him.
He said this is the 'Baptism of Fire' he must go through every year. Dunno what he meant, but he come always kena 'interrogated' by my parents one, heh. Very 可怜 but i'm so proud of him! My parents also glad that at least, he dares to come hahaa...

Got all my favourite food, Jayden says. Especially the corn on the cob, haha
Yea, sweet corn is my favourite food.
He also gave me a big goodie bag with all my favourite snacks inside! Such a sweetheart!

It's tradition to blog on my favourite day of the year-- 除夕。

:)

Why it's my favourite day of the year,
cos i'm always the happiest on this day.

Reasons being,
1) i get to eat grandma's tasty dishes at reunion dinner
2) my bedroom is squeaky clean!
3) 2 holidays (初一, 初二) await me
4) i get to prepare the candies for CNY tonight

I remember when i was young, 除夕 was the only day i could stay up till midnight to watch the CNY countdown on Channel 8. And i would help grandma to open ALL the candies and place them in this red revolving candy tray.
More recent years, tradition was to catch a midnight movie (All's Well End's Well, 八星抱喜) with boyfriend at NEX / AMK Hub.
Tonight i would be staying home, cos jayden has gone to his auntie's place for dinner :)

And after dinner, we happened to chat about houses. Brother was telling us about the upcoming Bartley Residences, and mom said they look like HDB flats. And when i showed her our Dawson's photos on the internet, she exclaimed, "WAH, 这么美啊!!"

she didn't even know we selected a loft unit. She became very excited when she saw that there's a staircase in the house and said she also wants to come and stay on our second floor next time! keke.. it makes me very happy to hear that. Cos last time, she only had negative stuff to say about Dawson, like how expensive it is, and how far Queenstown is from our current place etc.

Now, she's sharing our joy and excitement :)
So happy :)

It's amazing. I never knew just thinking about our future love nest can bring so much warmth into my heart and tears to my eyes. I was surfing online on Dawson and there's this fuzzy feeling in me. I can't wait. I really can't wait. Baby, that's our future :)
Oh, btw mom just nagged me, "快点结婚啦!"

My new pair of flats from Mondo! When i saw it, i knew i had to try it. When i tried it on, i knew i must buy it, haha

i'm looking for a pair of flats to/fro work, cos my heels spoil very easily from all the walking. Thus, i'm putting my heels at my workplace and this pair of flats would be oh'so perfect for travelling to the office and back home.

I'm madly in love with lace these days, it's crazy! i think my flats look super chio!

When boyfriend saw it, he was impressed, hahaa.. he says my taste is damn good. Of cos la!! hahaa.. kiddin'

SUPER CHIO also right?!?!?!! i got it from a shop in NEX. It's imported from Korea and it's freaking expensive :(
I didnt want to buy initially, cos it's too ex.. but the cute salesgirl is quite persistent and kept bringing alot of dresses, tops, skirts for me to choose, haha.. paiseh to reject her, cos she's so young and cute. lol
So i bought it. But the shop owner gave me a 15% discount. Still overpriced la, but the material is sooo soft, and it's lace and it's so pretty! Abit short though..

Gonna wear for 初二! yay!

Lastly, boyfriend gave me a present!!!! Imma sooooo happy!!!!!! :D Thanks dear!!!!!!

Last but not least, a rainbow we spotted at Orchard last evening after the rain! Boyfriend says there are 2 rainbows, are you able to see them? ;) hehe

i rushed home from work just to paint my nails :)
and i'm typing as carefully as i could while the paint is drying. I know i should have blogged first before i did my nails, but i couldn't wait!!!!
And i know i should have waited for the paint to dry completely before i blog, but i also couldn't wait!!!!

i dyed my hair on Monday! i'm so happy that the black roots are history now, hehe :)

DIY hair dye in Candy Pink

My first time using the Marshmellow dye from BeautyLabo.
I think i prefer this to the rest of the traditional hairdyes, cos i don't have to squeeze liquid/foam out through a bottle and make a horrible mess.
This one, i just use my hands to scoop out the right amount of 'foam' i need to apply on my hair.

Before,
black roots with brownish fried ends (which u cant really spot in the photo.. but under sunlight was obvious)


Don't mind the next photo.... the red dye was scary! i look like i have a darn bloody head!
Doesn't look very candy to me.

and the gloves were all dyed in maroon! i look like i've murdered someone with my hands, ahhaa

My hairstylist kept trying to brainwash me into touching up my hair when i went over to cut my fringe, but i'm bent on dyeing it at home. DIY only 16.90 lor. Go salon dye at least 100 bucks.
DIY is cheap and good. Somemore i have so little hair on my head, it's a breeze to dye it myself, hehe :)

Right after washing off and drying with a hairdryer..


It is more of brown with a reddish/pinkish tone.
i like! :)

And while shopping around looking for some nail polish, i found this gem!!
It's called "Nail Cocktail".

the colours super cute and hor, it's not for individual usage one. The first light pink is the base, the darker pink to be painted on the top one-third of the nail, and lastly glitter to be spread across in the middle to 'blend' both shades together.

Must mix together and create something like...
this!
