Making changes...

Welcome to our temporary home for the rest of 2010! Yes, we have decided to take ourselves "off the road" for now. Why? Richard is loving making his exotic and domestic wood creations to sell in fine arts and crafts shows. San Jose is a great central area for top notch shows. There is an awesome "full meal deal" shop in Sunnyvale for him to create in! Sandi (our very first position from housecarers) has become a dear friend and offered us a place to roost.
We are open to compensated house pet sitting. If interested, please give us a heads up and we can check our show schedule and see if it's a fit. ;-)
Sharing our digs with you...
entry hall into living room...kitchen dining to the right...3 bedrooms/2baths to the left
Lots of windows and skylights for bright cheery spaces

"back yard" is patio...behind fence is a very sloped yard gone "natural"
view of east hills from living room and dining room...with all the rain it looks like Ireland ;-)
Buddy and Daisy snuggling with Richard watching TV
Meggie and Pepper enjoying the sun! We have 4 critters to love and help take care of while here.
Cell phone reception is touchy in the hills ;-) what a view!
Dear sweet Sandi...she has an easy going disposition, a great sense of humor and I've never met such a helpful person...what a joy! We all get along great. I'm learning how to use a dishwasher. We actually unpacked our suitcases completely for the first time in almost 3 years. Richard has taken over a good portion of her garage for his "shop". Sandi and I call it his "man cave" after all he is living with 2 females. He's feeling good about not having to continually pack up and unload or set his equipment up in someone's back yard to work. It's a new adventure for us and we will keep you posted as things move along!
Peace, Joy and Love to you all

Excerpts from a Cat's Diary

Day 983 of my captivity:

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.
They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.
The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts,
Since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am. Bastards.
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event.
However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.'
I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.
Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking.
I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges.
He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.
The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly.
I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.........
