I have a ton of pictures from every day on my "break". Here is from August 19, when we went to the wading pool with Malachai. I guess I didn't take any pictures at the pool though.
Just pictures of Sonia crawling around in the grass, making a funny eyebrows face.
Then a serious face.
"All right," says Sonia, "I have made my mind up. It must be done."
"But first I will have a little giggle!"
And then she stood for 10 seconds!!!
Wow, big girl Sonia! It's nice though, she is just taking her time. Here we are, about 3 weeks later, and she still is usually only standing for about 5 seconds. Just a few nights ago, though, she stood for what I am sure was longer than 10 seconds, although I didn't count. She even looked around at all of us. She really gets a kick out of standing and is not afraid to fall, PAF!, on her bottom.
Meanwhile, the boys were doing something else...
They found a ball in this tunnel, which clearly has bars across it to prevent this sort of thing. When I saw it at first, Isaac was in, and Malachai was out, and I said, "Malachai! How did Isaac get in there?" "Oh," he said, "just like this," and proceeded to slip under the lowest bar. Great. Now they are both stuck.
But no, Malachai showed us that indeed, we can also get back out again. "We" meaning four year old boys. Don't ask me to try this.
Here is the ball in question. I can see why it was so enticing.
After they were done playing with it, they apparently put it back in the tunnel says Isaac, "So if the person was looking for their ball in the tunnel, they could find it!" How thoughtful and sweet of them!
I sure hope it is a little boy who lost that ball so he can squeeze under the bars.
