The girls...

It has been sometime since I updated the blog, here are some newer pics of the girls. Emmeline is still pretty chill but is now crawling around and eating everything in sight and Lilia is as fun and spunky as ever but has developed quite an imagination making our play even more exciting. These photos were taken by my talented friend Tabitha at tabitharheaphotography.com.

(You might be wondering where brad was for this photo shoot, I can't even remember to be honest but it was one of his interviews for residency...that time was a blur!)

Family Pics - Introducing Emmeline

Emmeline is almost three months old now, and is such a sweet bundle of joy. The first three months has gone relatively fast this time around. I can't believe how much she has grown. These first pictures were taken by Brad's sister Leslie when she was about 10 days old...they melt my heart. The following family pictures were taken by my friend Taylor when Emmeline was two months old and and Lilia was a couple of months away from three years old.

These two wonderful women deserve the loudest shout out of all. We are grateful for wonderful moms who also happen to make the best Grandmas. They were so much help during those first few weeks. Lilia misses them both dearly and looks forward to coming to visit soon.

Family Pictures Summer 2012

We got these taken this past summer. I just love this little canal in Georgetown...One of these days I'm going to choreograph a dance film on these bridges, for now family pics will do. Lilia was running like a maniac most of the time so I send major props to my friend Tabitha for getting such good ones of her.

Memorial

For Spring break we went to visit my sister in Kentucky and along the way we were able to visit Grandpa Petty's grave. Brad was able to attend the funeral last year but for Lilia and I it was nice to be able to have a chance to visit. Having just lost my Grandpa Watkins a few months ago I just wanted to say that I am grateful for wonderful legacy we have received from them.

18 months!

Oh my! I can't believe it has been a year and a half since miss Lilia Marie made her debut. I just love her spunky personality. She is very social and loves a good party. She likes to perform and show off her violin which she got for Christmas. She has been obsessed with them due to the fact that I teach Suzuki violin lessons to 9 children during the week. Her 18 month stats were roughly as follows: 22lbs, 30 in. head 75th percentile. Basically she is petite...has a killer belly and thighs and tons of brains.

Some of her favorite things to do are brush her teeth, wear my wedding ring, say "ah" or "no", check the mail, and go to the park.

Some of her favorite words are: this, ummm, wherizit, uh oh, Momma, Ball, I-know (I don't know) - generally done with her hands turned upward in dismay, uff-m (muffin), beebee (baby...or babyeinstein), cackee (cracker). There's probably more but those are the ones that come to mind. She still signs for certain words....I'm intrigued to see when she'll make the switch to all verbal, but I can tell that she definitely likes to use her body as much as possible to express herself.

One thing I especially love about Lilia is that she likes to be funny. I'll be eating lunch by her and she'll just look at me out of nowhere and make a crazy face (like the ones shown below). When I laugh she just beams with delight. She tries this trick on friendly neighbors in the apartment building but if you don't know what's going on she just looks like she likes to contort her face in awkward ways.

Oh yes! Mommy's special rings! She's showing them off because she knows it won't last long.
There is miss Lilia wearing a bow on her head. Take a long look because it doesn't last long.

This is her face as she is about to "tickle" me. She used to tickle nicely....now she just shoves her hand into my throat which is not so nice. At the museum with Nana Petty and Nana Kathy (Marty's sister). They were in town and we got to spend some time with them. Lilia loved every minute. This new scrunchy smile makes me laugh.

This is kind of a funny picture but it just captured such a classic look of Lilias...I think she looks like a mini Brad in this picture.
Funny face game. It's never too early to start training them. As you can see she's a natural.
This is the only picture I got with that sign seeing as she wouldn't hold it, well she would hold it but that meant squeezing it into a ball between her legs. Not very informative for the viewer.
