These wee taken last summer at the end of June when the male brought the fledgling to my feeder. Within a week the fledgling was feeding on its own.

On our walk today we saw our first bluebird and first sandhill crane. This is really early for their return to Northern Wisconsin.

It has been tough at my bird feeder this year. I’ve gone several weeks without having to replace the feed because of the predators hanging around.

In late summer the Swallowtail Butterflies love feeding on my Zinnias.

This Sharp-shinned Hawk paid a visit to my bird feeder. It sat on the branches above a pine tree where several birds were hiding. It finally hopped down into the pine tree to flush the birds but wasn’t able to do so.

Showa Memorial is a large park Located in the city of Tachikawa, 30 minutes from central Tokyo by train. The Japanese Garden is open in the evening during fall colors which run from mid-November into December.

My Butterfly Weed Garden is a favorite place for Orange-belted-Bumblebees to feed.
