See Ya

Probably staying up a lot of the next couple nights, but here we go...back to packing, but we have internet already at our new place, so more of the Best Babies on Sun or Mon.

1 Day More

Then I'm home with these big girls (about to fall asleep) full-time, for the foreseeable future. Very strange to think about. I had been looking forward to it, but it will be really weird to not work. I really love my job, too. Not as much as the sisses, though! 3 days more in Ann Arbor...I've been getting a little nostalgic about that too, even though I've never really liked Ann Arbor - I'm telling myself it's because the girls were born here.

Peek!

Another favorite pasttime and way to crack each other up...one sits under the table and the other peeks at her from above. They love it when we hide from them and play "peek" and will cover their faces or hide from us so we'll do it with them. Good times, I know. :)

Walking - the videos

Anna (2nd) is a little faster than Kara right now...Kara took a while to decide she wanted to walk, and likes to take it slow when she's walking. :)

300

Not the terrible movie with lots of gratuitous female nudity...our post count! Andrew would like me to note that they've been alive 314 days.

In honor of this dubious milestone, let's think about some other recent milestones (some with more pictures/videos to come), some more important than others, of course:

1. Walking.
2. Trying to talk/talking.
3. Pointing.
4. New teeth. (Anna now has a dangerous 8!)
5. Identifying things when asked. (e.g. "where's your nose?", "where's the ____?" in books, etc.)
6. Eating some pork chop. (Andrew wanted this one, though I admit I had thought about it before he asked; not the only new thing they've eaten lately, just the funniest, considering how much they hate a lot of things and how much they liked my seasoned, breaded and pan-fried chop)
7. Big girl car seats.
8. Riding together in the big car cart at the grocery store. (Anna drove.)
9. Being able to wear 12 month clothes. (This is the soonest they've been able to fit the next size clothes...usually they are right on the sizes - they are getting big!)
10. Jeans.

Table Time

A nice lady at our church found this table and chairs for the girls. Obviously it will be a lot better when their feet touch the floor, :) but they really like it now too. They've even learned how to get down themselves.

PS - I hate this post title. I couldn't think of anything good, and all Andrew could suggest was "tables have turned" which makes no sense.

Beauties in Bows

While packing some stuff up in their room the other day I happened upon some bows. I thought, "they have a lot more hair now, maybe they could wear them." Try again. For one, they are entirely bald on the sides of their heads still, so only have a few hairs long enough on top to hold the bow in. For two, immediately after I got them both bowed, they reached for the other's head to remove said bows. Hence the pictures - I tried for a long time to get a shot of the cutes in bows together, or alone...these are the results. Haha. :)

Boys in Boxes

Oh, I mean girls...and with their dad. Another of the gifted used twin girls clothes...Red Wings suits. Since they're in the Stanley Cup finals and we live close to Detroit for another week, we thought we'd try them. I think they're very cute. Just need some hair (the babies, not the suits). :)
On another note, I realized that lately all of my inside jokes with Andrew are lines from books we read the girls every day (which is usually a lot - they love books). Pretty pathetic. Normal people quote movies or something. Anyway, my first thought on seeing these pictures was - "I call this game fun in a box, said the Cat."

Goofy Faces

These are our silly babies! :)

Pajama Faces

Silly girls first thing in the morning. These are their "old man" pajamas, our favorites. Unfortunately, they're turning into cropped shirt and capri PJs. :)

Naked Faces

Ugh...the girls are being "grumplefusses" these past few days (Andrew was forced to coin this term while I was at work yesterday - grumpy + fussy). Best I can tell it's because they're a little sick, but they've been biting more, so maybe teething. Grumplefussiness usually arises when they're tired but are refusing to go to sleep. Very frustrating. In their defense, though, they have a lot going on in addition to illness and teething - walking and talking are new, plus growing - so it must be hard for their little brains and bodies to settle down. That somehow doesn't comfort me at 1 AM when Anna's screaming for no reason like a tiny bee. :) But they have had their extra-nice moments as well - tons of umprompted hugs and kisses for mom, and Kara woke up this morning only to climb on me, give me a huge hug, and fall back asleep in my arms. Nicests, how about we keep the sweetness without the grumplefussiness?

Smiling Extra-Pretty for the Camera

Haha. What a terrible picture, all you can do is laugh. :)

Miss KJP

See, it's okay to not make crazy faces like sis, you look very nice. :)

Anna Attacks

Crazy Anna faces. None similar of Kara...which I don't think is necessarily a bad thing, Miss K.

Playground Fun

They both love going down slides, Kara especially. I don't. :)

Banging Babies

These babies were a favorite for a little while last month...so naturally they dragged them around and banged them on things, including each other (Kara getting Anna, then Anna getting a stunned Kara). Banging sis on the head is a typical Anna move - Kara goes for biting instead.
