We celebrated Avree's 5th birthday in March. She really wanted a mermaid party. So I went to work. Thanks to pinterest, it's kind of impossible to have a simple party anymore. So I got sewing and made a mermaid tail for each of her friends. Then of course shopped and shopped for good deals on fun decor. Overall, I think it turned out awesome. I'm pretty proud of the results. It took a lot of time, but I think the girls really enjoyed themselves. I know Avree did. She kept telling me how cute it was and how fun it was days later. Thanks to all those who helped with decorating and the party. It was fabulous.
Just a note about Avree at 5:
She loves to dance- hoping to get her signed up this fall
She loves school
She loves to dress up
She loves friends
She loves books
She loves! Yes that's right. She is the sweetest girl in the world. She's always hugging and kissing and saying I love you. We are so proud of her and can't believe how beautiful and grown up she is. Happy Birthday Avree. You have made us so proud. xoxoxo

St. Patricks Day!
Wow, what a day. Those leprechauns sure got us. I opened our fridge and found our milk had turned green. That was weird. So we started to make breakfast. As I cracked the eggs, they looked normal until I scrambled them. Then they turned green. Our waffles turned green from the milk and even our orange juice was sabotaged. I think next year we'll be sure to set some traps. The kids actually loved eating a green breakfast. They were looking all over the house for anything else that had turned green. Here are some pics of us enjoying our breakfast. Happy St. Patricks Day!!

Couples Retreat
Joel and I and our friends took an adult only trip to St. George. We took our bikes and hit some fun trails. Joel has been into mountain biking since last fall so he was anxious to get me out there with him. The weather was beautiful and it was fun to just be us. Don't get me wrong, I love spending time with my kids, but sometimes it's nice to have a break. So many beautiful views, good food, temple trip and fun company. Boom! Guacamole! (inside joke) Can't wait to do this again.

Christmas 2011
Catch up!! So this year was a lot of fun. I made an advent calendar and everyday we'd open a box and it would have some kind of activity for our family. Like movie night, make a special treat, go see Christmas lights, make ornaments, gingerbread houses, and many more. The kids absolutely loved it. It was fun to do so many fun activities and spend time together. I can't wait to continue this tradition each year. Here are a few pics of our Holiday season.
