Kindergarten for Marcus

Marcus was so ready to be in kindergarten!!! Once we went to Meet the teacher, you could see that he was afraid! He asked for French toast that morning but the kid was so nervous, he didn't touch them! I couldn't even get chips or candy in him. Haha. We got to the school and it was PACKED!!! They had the school mascot walking around and Marcus loved it!! It was pretty hot outside and I couldn't tell if I was nervous or if it was the heat. The kids lined up and Marcus looked SO scared!!! I admit, tears rolled at that point, I blame it on pregnancy hormones. Lucky I was wearing sunglasses!! He is adjusting to school and no more naps! I've taken great pride in the fact that I could get my 5 yr old to nap everyday. But I think the time has come to say goodbye to those. He is super tired and struggling with all his homework! It takes us about 45 mins to get through it all but I can see it all clicking in his brain and I'm glad I can help him!! He is always excited to go and happy when we pick him up. I have not heard anything negative about school and I hope he starts making friends. He knows kids, just not their names. The poor kid has over 30 kids in his class, that's a lot to learn!!

Marcus's first tooth

I have a video of this but it won't let me post it :( Marcus lost his first tooth!!! The permanent one came in behind it and we started wiggling!! One day- he took a bite of a cinnamon roll that had set out all day and it knocked the tooth lose! He was so scared! When it came time to pull it- he wasn't even phased and didn't even know it came out. The next morning I asked what he was going to do with his money and he wanted to buy something for his sister!! Such a sweet brother!!!

Bryce is 2

Bryce is 2!!! I honestly don't even know what to say about him. He is the most frustrating yet funnest kid!! He is so stubborn and throw some really good tantrums!!! Marcus was never one to scream bloody murder and stomp his feet when he was mad, Bryce on the other hand- sheesh. I've been working with him and putting him in time out but Crispin is the one with the Stern hand and is good at getting him to stop. Maybe one day he will start listening(:  I seriously love this kid!!! He keeps us laughing and has no fear!!! He is FULL of life!!! Marcus is his best friend and they play all day in a make believe world!! He is struggling not going outside and summer has barely started. He turns so red within 15 mins of being out in the heat. He has barely started having an interest in TV. He can watch about 1 show then he is done. We can not take our eyes off him!! He just has NO fear and it is scary some of the stuff he attempts to do!! I only trust a few people to watch him cause if they don't watch him constantly, he will get hurt. He is in speech therapy and making a slow improvement. He now tries to baby talk but still don't talk really, but he looks forward to his appt every week with his speech therapist. We love him so much and glad he is apart of our family!!

Great news

This story goes back to when Bryce was born. We both said Bryce was our last. When we were at the hospital, right after I had Bryce, I looked at Crispin and said- this isn't our last! He shook his head and agreed. I just had that feeling that one more baby was waiting to get to us.
After Bryce, I never went back on birth control. I tried a new one and hated it and stopped 2 weeks in and at that point we just decided if it was meant to be- then it will happen. There were a couple months I thought I was pregnant, but I wasn't. I had gone to see my OB for a check up and talked to him and he did some labs that confirmed I was ovulating so he said when I was ready- he would take me into surgery and not make me go through fertility drugs first. Me and Crispin decided to just have the surgery and then we both backed down. At the point we decided surgery wasn't right for us at the time, I was pregnant and didn't know it!!
I went 22 months without birth control and never got pregnant. I was 11 days late before I finally took a test cause I knew I wasn't pregnant. It took a couple tests, blood work and an ultrasound before it clicked that I was pregnant.
It was a ROUGH start to this pregnancy!! By the time I was 8 weeks I had already been on antibiotics twice. I got a really bad sore throat and then had bronchitis. The bronchitis came second and I dealt with it for over a week before I saw a dr because I didn't want to go on more meds.
The fun part of this one was telling my family on April fools day!!! Rachel didn't believe me at all- but I set her up for this a couple days prior by asking her about certain birth controls. So she had to call the next day and see if I really was pregnant!! It took rusty seeing my blood work before he believed me. I love playing April fools joke so no one believed me.
We are way excited and I am due November 23.

Thanksgiving

It was a great thanksgiving weekend!! This year we decided to have it at my house to hold all the people. We my parents, Jeff's family, rusty, Rachel's family and mine. It was so loud! But most of the kids had a blast!!! One of the best moments was getting ashlyn to feed my great dane a treat from her mouth, she was a trooper!! The weather was way warm and I almost broke down and turned the AC on. We hit 83 every day Jeff was here!!
My mom did not disappoint and cooked her little hiney off!!! I really appreciate all my mom does to make the holidays special!!!
Black Friday started on Thursday at 6 pm(dumb, I know) but we had a blast!! I was tired when we got home but we were able to finish both boys Christmas stuff!!! We headed down to casa grande for the rest of the weekend. We went to the movies and of course my mom spoiled the grand kids and got them their own movie kids tray!! It was great to have Jeff's family here!!!!!

Entertainment center

I apologize up front that the pictures are out of order(this app has a couple issues) we had decided to put in a built in entertainment center. Crispin started sketching it out and then picked a weekend(the weekend before Marcus's bday party). I have to say, I probably could've handled the situation better if I had not gotten sick. Half way through this project I got the flu AND strep throat(my strep was so bad that the dr gave me narcotics to take the edge off!!) not only was I on my death bed- my house was a MESS: clear upto 1 hour before Marcus's bday party.
I do have to say- I LOVE IT!!!!! It adds so much to the room. Crispin worked his butt off for 8 days straight- not only doing that but taking care of me and the boys!!! We had our friend Jason come over and help for the framing part and we will be in his debt for a long time!!!!! I am just so happy with it!!! Now I have shelves to decorate in my house :)

Halloween

This year we went trick or treating for the first time. We have always gone to trunk or treats but we missed it this year cause we were in Idaho. I must say, it's WAY easier to get candy at a trunk or treat. We walked the neighborhood for about 40 minutes and both boys filled their buckets. If that was a trunk or treat, we would've filled 5 times that, lol!! Bryce didn't really get what was going on, after a couple houses he started sitting up in the stroller and pointing to houses and grunting. Marcus was SO excited!!!! He was just walking and singing and having a good time. After about 30 minutes, he got tired and starting asking to go home cause his bucket was heavy. It was such a fun night and we got to meet a couple new neighbors!! Marcus wanted to be the Star Wars person and wore that school but then decided to wear his Spider-Man costume Halloween night. Bryce was just a pug puppy and wouldn't keep the hat part of his costume on.
