Poffenbarger Family

So when we moved to Washington 6 years ago we lived in a hotel for a month while we waited for our house to finish being built.  This time we are living in a hotel for a month since the house was sold.  What a nightmare, I'm so glad to be done with all of that.  Since the market fell 6 months after we bought, our house wasn't worth what we owed.  But we decided our family was more important than our credit score.  So we are in the process of moving to Texas.  I am leaving active duty, heading for the reserves and being a stay at home mom.  I might even try to revive my blog :).  Gotta think about it though.  We will see, perhaps blogging our adventures and life to self sufficiency will be fun.

As December is winding down I realize just how busy our lives have become with three kids.  One being only three months old.  Between swim lessons, dr appointments and work it feels like we are never home.  Although it would seem we are doing better on cooking at home and saving money, go us :).  Living healthy, working out, losing weight and gaining our lives back.  We are figuring this all out.  I did recently join pinterest and I love it.  So many great ideas for the home, yard, you name it.  Plus lots of motivation for my fitness which surprisingly has helped ALOT.  We are just enjoying life.  I do try to post on my fitness blog each night so if you want so see me transform pop over and stay tuned.  3 weeks from now will be another progress picture.  Its going to be great.  Here is a great one for your enjoyment tonight from pinterest.  This is totally how I feel right now haha.

Here is a picture of our sweet girl at 5 days old.  She had her first dr appointment and her first shot.  She did great.  Her weight is going back up and now she is at 7lbs 9oz.  So wonderful.

I can't believe how big he is getting and that my baby boy turned 5.  Its seems like only yesterday he was just a baby.  He won't start Kindergarten this year but he will for the 2012-13 school year.  Gosh that is weird too :).  Here are a couple pictures from him opening presents.

We are officially full term.  Baby girl can arrive whenever she is ready...

I took Linda for her first pedicure on Friday. She had a great time. We both got them and got our toes painted. I have included a couple pictures. Definitely something we will do again. And it felt great to just relax.

11 years ago today August 26th Chris and I took our wedding vows. We have had good times, and bad and we have come out stronger for it. I am thankful for the man he is. He is a wonderful father, devoted husband and great guy :). I can't believe how lucky I am to have found him. I was 19 when we meet. Thankfully I was smart enough to see what I had and keep it, yes like a lost dollar bill haha. Either way it works for us. With everything I know we will get through it good or bad. I love that man more every day.

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. In the next 5 weeks (hopefully) we will be meeting our newest baby girl. She will also be our last baby, which in some ways is sad and some ways is happy. We are very blessed to be having her and to have come this far. As I am up at 1230 at night due to baby hiccups and pregnancy pains I am reminded of how far we have come. Of our losses, and of our joys. This was a difficult road to get here. We are very blessed. She will be a wonderful miracle. Our family is complete. As I look through pictures of 2009-2011 I see for the first time in a while what a wonderful couple years we have had. Our trips, our daily laughter, our moments of joy. This baby has healed my heart in a way I didn't think was possible. And though I will never forget our angels, I am at peace now. I have been at peace, but with the impending arrival of our new baby I have found a different kind of peace. One that brings much joy. I look forward to having her and being able to start working out again :) and baby snuggles on the couch. I will miss the joys of pregnancy. The flips and kicks. I won't miss the pains LOL. Lets hope she decides to arrive before her due date and not October haha.
