Sure we can cross it!

At the end of the session, she was crossing it just fine. :)

Cross a Tarp?

Then I asked her to lunge over a tarp. She was offish with it at first, but then she got the hang of it. Right here she's getting curious about it and sniffing the spooky thing. :)

Lunging

I've combined the excercises of pushing her front end away, the forward motion cue, and disengaging the hip to teach her to lunge. She's getting a hole heckofa lot better. :)

Sacking Out

I sacked her out with a large tarp.

It took some time but then she was fine with it touching her.

She even let me lay it on her back... though she's still kind of reserved about it.

Groundwork

So the first and foremost thing I have been working on is getting her to be respectful and stay out of my space. As you can see from the video, I'm really proud of how she's coming along. I've been letting her wear the surcingle and saddle blanket during our sessions to get her used to something on her back while I'm also working on strengthening groundwork. Killing two birds with one stone. :)
